Tweetline is a great Twitter client for your Android smartphones and tablets.
It brings you Twitter with all the new Android design guidelines, but compatible since Android 2.1. This is a very complete application with an awesome multi-columns UI which permits you to personnalize your Twitter experience as much as you want. Combined to a lot of personnalization features (text color and size, application themes for example), TweetLine is YOUR new Twitter client.
Thanks to the left sliding menu, you can see your profile at any time and keep an eye on your mentions (for example) at the same moment. This is very easy, smooth and beautiful. And you can display even more informations on this menu : the profile of other users, your followers and followings, but also your lists, global and local trends, your retweeted tweets, and you can also make search (for tweets and users) inside it.
But you don't just have a menu to make TweetLine your own application : you can add anything you want as a column on its multi-columns interface ! You can add your favorites, but also a search about a subject you want to survey like a TV show, a football match with your favorite club, or even about a new device that you want to buy. Lists are also available as columns, so you can really use them to select informations you want to read. And of course all the other kinds of informations available on Twitter.
The column manager give you the power to add, remove and reorder your columns exactly as you want, with a cool drag and drop interface. Don't hesitate to get an eye on screenshots to make your own opinion.

Move "Timeline" to first tab, followed by "Mention" then "Direct Message".
Probably smooth scroll when for example, when you press "Timeline", it scrolls to the top smoothly.
App crash when phone screen timeout.
The "Eye" image at the bottom left of "My Profile" page, the text is not English.

Yes the login problem is kind of random but it is a know bug as I had written. I will change this wording for next updates
There will be a column manager in several updates so you would be able to change the order of Timeline, Mentions, etc
I dont understand your problem with phone screen timeout because nobody for 3 months detect this bug, this is strange :/ but I will investigate.

-in Tweetdeck app you write the tweet and when you click ''send'' it's automatically appears in the timeline, without any load or delay...can you do that??
-can you put the SEND button a litte bit more near of the keyboard???, to ppl with large screen devices, its so bad that button at top of the screen....

Should be in the next update for the first version of notifications (look at the settings, the notification are alleready in it). For the update after this one we could see the JB notifications comming (second version)

I've published yesterday [23 nov. 2010] the first version of a scrollable news widget. This is my first attempt at android development.
I've tested the widget against Launcher Pro and ADW Launcher quickly and quite extensively with Zeam. It still needs some work (amonst other things: theming, feed validation, feed lookup, ...) but it is still usable -- meaning i use it.
Since version 1.4.0 GReader and news sharing are supported through Scrollable News Addons (paid app).
The addon has been unpublished as it won't be maintained anymore. Its features will in time be integrated into the main app.

Thanks for testing this widget. That's weird. I got a few comments in the market console that report a similar behaviour. However i'm not able to reproduce it. The grey background may indicate either that the widget feeds cannot be parsed or that scrollable widgets are not enabled.
I use android-rome-rss the fetch the feeds. Perhaps there is something to dig there? What feed(s) did you specify?
Just tested on N1,ADW...works fine.

Indeed AtomaRss is very similar, feature-wise. I discovered it yesterday when i opened this thread because xda suggested a list of related messages. Since choice is always good, i will maintain and try and improve this widget.
Anyway, thanks for trying out the widget. Truth is i'm a bit lost here: i don't understand why it works like a charm for some people and doesn't even load for others (as is the case for berliner). I get the same mixed messages in the comments and ratings. I still don't know how i can pinpoint the actual issues.
hey mate, awesome app, would be good if it gave a list (or used default browser) to view 'full' article - in my case the in built one doesn't seem to work, but that might just be a problem at my end.
Also maybe the option to have a limited number of words in the content area, eg. instead of having the full story have like say justa set number defined in the settings, eg. 15, 25, 50, 0(all)?
Other then that, I love the look, can basically blend in with any theme

The trick Boombuller provided works well with ADW (scrollable widgets get automatically activated), but not for LP. I have not yet published the new version though.

Yeah, using LPP. I put in a feed link, say http://www.androidcentral.com/feed and save - then - I get no feeds in the widget, just the title Latest News

I'm glad you worked things out. Feed/URL validation is indeed a critical feature that is missing. It is planned for a coming version. I begin to think that I should assign a higher priority to it because i'm wondering if invalid feed urls are not the cause of all the "grey widget issue" reports. Thanks for telling me this.

Initially i didn't plan to integrate Google Reader (i actually planned not to). But this could certainly be done and i'll consider it. However please note this is not on top of the todo list.
You should set up a paid version that does have google reader integration. I'd certainly purchase it and I'm sure many others as well.
I'm using LPP and can't get any feeds to show up. Even the default Reuters feed that came with the app fails to load any feeds so I don't think that it is a url issue. If there is a way for me to get you any usable info off of my phone please let me know.

Now for me the first priority is auto sync and sync of pictures, but after that I'll surely implement a widget (but, maybe in pro version).
What do you like to include in such widget? A list of articles (for selected feed, category) or texts?

Just downloaded market version, and a few quick thoughts (I'll have more later)
Sync settings:
Maximal age of the post should be Maximum
you list a bunch of numbers in that catergory. I'm assuming they are days, but weeks would also be a possibility. If you could put 1 (unit), 2 (unit), that'd be great.
Main feed page:
I use folders a LOT in google reader. Usually, I browse by the whole folder at once, rather than the individual source (example, I might have android police, Android Central, and XDA portal for android all in one folder). However, in this app, I can only view by individual feed. If you can place an option under the folder menu to view all at once, that'd be great! By this I mean, I might be viewing an Android central story, but the next story might be XDA portal.
Edit: Just found if you tap the numbers it does this. If you can make that a menu option, that'd be great. I only found it by accident.
Overall:
You have a setting for article screen theme. Any way you can make that universal throughout the app? I like black text on white. However, everything but the article is still white text on black.
Make it so that articles that are read in app are read everywhere.
That's all for now. Looks really good so far. Love the swipe to go to next page option. Google official reader needed that. For what I think of googles reader app, I really like it. Nice UI, but no offline caching.

I think a widget would be a great idea. I see you are planning to add it in the future and you were asking what to be included. I think the best way to do the widget would be to display "all items" that would link to your app when clicked. I also would like to see a mark all as read on the widget too if that can be done.
I'll implement widget for sure, but a little bit later. Now the main priority is stability.

Facebook permissions.
Fast:
Fast asks for a lot of permissions because there is no way to access to your data or write a new object without them. The good thing is that the app does what you want to do and there is no background process that spies or catch your information. There is no analytic or hidden services. At the first installation the app asks if you want to post a status with information about Fast, but you can choose if you want this or not.
This is the list of permissions that Fast can ask you (all are optional, if you need a feature you accept, otherwise you can decide to decline):
So, if you need a client that is triggered only by your actions, Fast it's your choice. The app doesn't have any control on your sms, contacts, phone data and status. It's not connected to any spying web services and there are no logs or personal information that are sent to me. I have no idea who is using Fast, what the user is doing. I just have Facebook data about active monthly user, geographical stats (only countries percentage), language and stats about how many api calls are made + api errors.
Facebook App:
The thing with official app is that you can't decide what permissions you can give to it, because it's official and it can do everything. If you loose your phone and you don't have the proper security level, everyone can do everything on your FB account with the Fb app.
Moreover, you don't know what kind of analytic, hidden services and hidden processes are on the app. You have to give so many android permissions that you literally give the app a full control of your phone.
I know that I am no one, and it's hard to trust, but Fast is here from almost 2 years and people trust my app. You can check the ratings and all the discussion here, I am always open to change the app, follow feedback and fix everything. My motto is to be transparent and always open to accept critics and new ideas.

Well,
login is trough a webview directly connected with Facebook (fb dialog), so no data is passed trough the app. The are no analytics such as google, flurry, socialize, etc etc. So the only data I receive is from the developer dashboard of Facebook.
So, all the connections are trough facebook open graph or the xmpp facebook server (using SASL, no md5 with user and password in clear )
Talking about privacy, I will introduce the possibility to use the privacy settings for the sharing of content and update status.

This is on my roadmap, but there are so many features and tweaks that i want to do!!!
Probably after April I will do it (I've put it on the 1.4 release)

+1 on the proper background service. I stopped using the official since most versions would always run no matter the settings which resulted being a battery killer. if you can configure it to cache to the background so it's not running consistently you may just be on the road to compete against friendcaster

- An option to see hidden pics/folder.

This is great feedback, thank you. I will add delete folder and hidden folder option to the next release and option for thumbnails. Sorting will be a bit more work but is nonetheless on my list of things to add to the app now.
I will investigate the album not being refreshed issue as well, the app should be picking up newly added photos but it does not automatically capture newly created empty folders (it will have to monitor a lot of folders otherwise). I think this is calling for a new feature to add the ability to create a new album/folder directly from within the app.
A mix of Gallery and Photo Editor is a great project
A few suggestions for now:

• draw: circles, squares,...
• the app force closes if we block the Notifications access, why?

The app is pretty slick. I really like the design and the checkboxes for deleting groups of pics on the fly in time-line view.
I could use this app on a daily basis and recommend it if it could do the following:
- Move images between folders
- Set album view as the default view
- Exclude folders
- Allow access to image options via long press on photo
- Play videos
Additional, but not necessary:
- A dark AMOLED theme (I'm using a 6P)
The things missing are the things that annoy me most about this app and would be my favorite/most used features. Oh and the banner at the top is highly annoying. It blocks the icons at the top when scrolling.
The Play Store listing is fine and so is the app icon.

I was this close buying it - nice ui, easy to use, really nice editor. But unfortunately it's so slow. On my G5 it seems to build the data cache everytime i open it after it was exited. But the real dealbreaker is slow opening of pictures. The first takes it's time and then it runs smooth. This app really could replace quickpic but at this moment i'm keeping it to asus gallery. I would love to use your app but with the slow build of pictures ... And don't get me wrong - it's the first app which is close to perfection (for my needs). Really nice work.
If this problem is in any kind a question of settings - please give me a hint, i'll buy it in a second.

Thank you, the photo editor will be getting an update in a future release which will have material design goodness. Not sure why blocking notifications would force close the app? The app doesn't have any notifications, have tried to reproduce it but unable to.

- Move images between folders: coming in the next release
- Set album view as the default view: you can already achieve this from the settings, by choosing default content and setting it to albums, you cannot however reorder the tabs, is this something you would like?

- Allow access to image options via long press on photo: Tapping on a large photo presents a toolbar from which you can edit, delete, share a photo, or from the menu you can use Set As... or edit externally, etc. Is this what you are referring to or is there some other option that is missing for you?
- Play videos: do you mean play videos directly? At the moment that app launches an intent to play the video using an external video player.
Additional, but not necessary:
- A dark AMOLED theme (I'm using a 6P): Sounds like a great idea, noted!
The banner ad is annoying, but kind of necessary to help support the development, I will be looking at optimising this though, perhaps I will get rid of completely and use an integrated/native ad, which is far less intrusive.

Thanks for wanting to support the app and sorry to hear you're having issues with speed. I'm not sure why the image cache for the thumbnails would be clearing, or not caching - do you have much free space on your device?
The large images do take some time on the initial load, it seems more apparent on some devices, because the app is trying to load the image to the left/right of the image you have requested for the first time (Android ViewPager), I will need to optimise this to prioritise the loading.

I don't know if I'm understood... system orientation is of, but gallery should work by the orientation sensor (like quickpic). My device is nexus 5 with 6.01

One thing I noticed is when you get a notification on Facebook, and you click the globe to view it, you cannot get back to where you were on your news feed
Donwloaded it as I'm looking for official Facebook app alternative. Liking design and fluidity so far. Is it possible to add thing like groups, events in the panel on the left?

Settings > scroll down and enter in "Navigation menu items", you can choose diferent elements, like: groups, photos, log out, main menu, etc

New app update guys. Added: go back button, updated webview, fixed force close when you close the app and fixed "exit" button.
Great app, working fine with CM14. This is the only Facebook client that lets me upload photos. Automatic night mode maybe? Thanks.

Hi, thank you. If you close the app with recent or "exit" button you wont receive notifications, you receive only if the app is running in background
