I have an orange M1000 PH10A running Wm 5.0 OS5.1.195 Build 15698.3.5.0 rom 3.50c.40CS Radio 1.18
I seems to work fine and can recieve calls and send calls from the contacts.
But when i go to the screen where the dial pad should show, I cannot see the keypad.
If I press where the numbers should be, I can hear the bleep but nothing on the screen.
Is there anything I can do to make the keypad reapear.

I wasn't sure how to ask this so bare with me.
I have an ATT tilt with the HTC ROM on it. When I go to phone mode and am looking at my keyboard, I have the smartdialing box, the keypad and then three boxes upper-left side = LEFT ARROW (delete), VIDEO CALLING icon, and CALL LIST icon.
VIDEO calling doesn't work and I don't understand what those icons in the CALL LIST (are they received calls? Dialed calls?) are all about. I was wondering if I could switch what those three buttons do? I can't find any ability to change those in OPTIONS..
I suspect that further modification will require cabs or ROM updates?
I have imprecise fingers so the keypad is excellent- I don't want to change that at all.

yeah.. me too flashed my 1 day old tilt with the htc stock rom... and the dialpad sucks..... no "CALL" button on screen....
Now have to use the keypad and fingers to dial a number and pressing the green call button to actually call... it was quite annoying at the beginning... but now I am gettin used to it.
Still if any registry editing could be done in order to remap the 3 buttons on the right hand side of the dial pad screen, it would be great....
Except for this option, the HTc stock ROM is gr8888888888 !!!!!!

I had a weird thing happen,...
The hangup button will not shut the screen off until you add, then remove the additional "Inbox, messaging, and calendar" today items. Once they have been added, then removed, you can now push the hangup button to make the screen go off. A slight annoyance for a fresh install, but easily fixable.
Now I've got an issue with the Dial Lookup... The phone died (out of batteries) and now, instead of Dial Lookup, I have "Tasks" The actual Dial Lookup item IS Tasks.. it's the weirdest thing ever. If I have only the Dial Lookup and Tasks for my Today screen, I have 2 Tasks..
Any Idears?
WM6, using the HTC Home "Plugin"
the tasks bit happened to me. I fixed it by changing the value of the "type" in the registry back to 4.
I also noticed with HTC X-Button (only v1.5 would behave) it would keep the Send button from working. Couldn't bring up the dial pad, had to enter the contact's name with dial-lookup and press the select button to call out.
So instead of X-Button (which I love on my HTC 8525) I put Magic Button on my Treo 750 and it seems to work fine.
i have the same problem with HTC home plugin.
and also with magic button (after 2 days using it).
uninstall didnt fix the problem. I had to hard reset the device to make my send button and the hang up button working properly again.
My call log never comes up on my treo 750. I hit the green key, and nothing happens. I try to access it from the menu on the bottom right of the today screen, and still nothing happens.
I upgraded to WM6 a while back when I first got the phone, not sure if that has anything to do with it.
But now, I also use mobile shell with the diamond square theme, and when I have a missed call, I can SOMETIMES get my call log through that by hitting the missed call button on that screen. And that's only when I have a few missed calls.
I tried to remap one of the buttons to show my call log, but there's no call log option on the pulldown menu in the button settings.
Any ideas on how to fix this? I've tried everything I can think of....

I have a problem with dialer. I can't make a call directly from contacs list. I have to touch twice related number. When i push the call button, menu retuns to call hystory.
I went over Market and internet search...
I am looking for side slider, something like Widget Locker, but for answer/reject call. Also for end call... The reason is, because it easy to push on screen button, then still easy to slide up/down. Side slide is at most hard to slide.
I use to start new call, after old call is finished by person on other side. After call phone throws me to dialer, while I was going to push End call button, suddenly it changes to Call button and I did call - last call - It works on htc senese caller like that. I had to replace it with go dialer which does not behave like that (First I have to push who am I going to call, then call button will call). But, I like HTC sense more, also, GO dialer is a bit slow on my HTC Desire phone.
So I am looking for slider solution, to put control elsewhere and make it hard to use it accidentally.
Wold be GRAT if combine apps functionality like Caller ID and Widget Locker. And truly replace, or at least put beside original caller. If I use Caller ID, I still see original caller to blink over.. and If I am fast on my phone, with combination of GO dialer, my phone use to go crazy during call, until call is finished...
But my point is side slider as caller.
Once I had to try dGB ROM, and, i think, there was something like this, or it was only lock slider? ... I am not sure I don't remember.
