N64 Emulator just released!

Just read on Engadget that a Nintendo64 emulator has finally been released for Android!
Its called N64oid and is $5.99 on the market, but worth every penny. Still a little laggy with some games, but pretty good. Played Mario Kart64 with no issues, but will probably struggle with more CPU intensive games such as Goldeneye.

now if only we had a fix for the bluetooth to allow the use of a wireless controller, this would be perfect

I really believe in the developer especially having bought Snesoid from him and played it religiously like everyday! Games were really laggy at first but the first update made super mario 64 work SMOOTH

Its time like this that I wish I had the Motorola Zoom. This would be so awesome to play on that.

Get wiimote from the market, it allows you to use your wii remote as the controller i dont think it works with sense though

Mario 64 here i come..yes!!
Just tested it out...with mario kart 64 and super mario 64.
list of problems i have:
sound is very laggy(i figured this one)
Mario kart froze on me 3 times in a row before it fully worked(but then it ran pretty good)
Super Mario 64 sound was ok and ran right out the gate.
Great work for the first release!

You download the app via google/market, install, the you just search [insert N64 game] rom, then put the zip file on your sdcard, open the app, find it, and start playing.

Have you gotten it to work? I downloaded it, and shows it as connected in the app, but when I enable other inputs [ie bluetooth gamepad ] in the N64 emulatore, it doesn't work.

Are you using a sense rom, because I don't believe it will work with sense?

No, I'm on AOSP [CM7] When I'm in the wiimote app, I can see it confirming when I press B, 1,2, home ect, as the keys on the screen light up and its connected successfully. Just when I try to use it in the game, it doesn't work.

So I take it this emulator runs relatively well on our evo?

Yeah it works pretty well. Still a little laggy here and there, and won't play some games at all. But other than that, its pretty sweet.

Does conkers bad fur day work? That seemed to be pretty CPU intensive.

No reason it shoudn't, if its laggy, overclock a little bit.

Haha I meant like how well, I know how to run them I just meant I've been running psx emulators for a while with only moderate success and since n64 is running at 64 bit I was wondering how well it ran. Thank you though, that was very considerate!

No wont even boot up I tired several different roms from different sites all don't work...
One of them did cause the screen to flip but the on screen controls never showed up and then it just goes back to the rom list.

Chainfire 3D

Ive downloaded the pro version, along with the plugins. No matter which plugin i use, I never notice any different games in the market. NOVA, Modern Combat etc. Are still not showing up. Yes i pressed the 'fix market' button still to no avail. Has anyone gotten this to actually work with their device?

go to default opengl menu and select nvidia as the plugin then go back nand click fix market settings and reboot ur phone then try

I had chainfire3d on my captivate and loved it.
I am having all kinds of trouble getting it to install on my skyrocket tho.
I have tried downloading from the market and from the www page. directly to the phone and transferred from usb.
NO matter what I cant get the pluggins to install. I am root. so doesnt make any sense.
I remember needing to punch some code into terminal emulator with the cappy and i have searched and typed a few different commands into VrE again to NO avail. Getting kinda bummed about it now as its been 24 hours since root..I also installed the 2.3.6 rom on our forums last night.
SR was delivered wednsday with 2.3.5 stock from the Amazon . penny sale.
Anyone kn ow what I am doing wrong?

reinstall your phone and try again. I have it installed on my i727r and it works perfect

Can you side load the app, and use whichever plug in necessary to run properly?

Gonna try that now, still wondering why fix market still wouldnt let them show up. Anyway, will report back

You google the game and find out which device it was made for. Also many of the gameloft games aren't on the market. Search for shadowgun.

Why are guys even using chain fire? I switched to the skyrocket from a Dell streak 5 with the original snapdragon processor and all my old gameloft games work and most others as well, even shadow gun runs flawlessly from the market with no mods at all. I'm completely stock, not even rooted on 2.3.6

Because we have games that need it.

You should atleast root it so you have CPU controls and app.controls because it saves on battery

Galaxy on Fire 2, Pinball HD, and better versions of Fruit Ninja, Backbreaker, and others. Also, even though it's not a compatibility thing, installing Chainfire 3D made the textures in Riptide GP load at a much higher res.

What are your settings for galaxy on fire 2. Mine crashed to home when loading the campaign

I don't know about you, but... it doesn't say xperia x10 2.3.3 up on the top there.

Blood and Glory on Rooted EVO

Has anyone gotten the game Blood and Glory by Glu Mobile to work on their rooted Evo?

Glu Mobile support is claiming that they do not support Rooted devices (which is pretty lame if you ask me) but I'm wondering if there is some technical reason they're doing this.

It is working just fine for me on my rooted evo with Cyanogen nightly 256.

Never knew there was an issue... I play Blood and Glory every so often but its always worked on whatever ROM that I flashed and played it on.

Works on mine rooted eco 4g

I was using the MikG roms as well when it wasn't working. I switched to CM7 and works like a charm.
It's interesting for sure.

Was working fine on cm7 switched to SOS and the game no longer worked.

Thanks for this thread. Didn't know the game existed, d/l'd it yesterday and it's great. Btw, rooted & running Xplod rls3. Seems to play better on Savaged Zen 2.2.1, than Tiamat 3.3.7

didn't know it didn't work on rooted evo... used it with mikg v2.59 stock and freedom kernel also cyanogen 7.1 works way better and smoother on cyanogen tho... but i love sense

Not working on mine. Running Decks ICS p8. Keeps switching from loading screen to preparing.
Could just be cause its pre alpha. But thought I would try. A few other games seem to be fine though.

I'm on icsmod7, game works but I'm not paying for coins or weapons, same as gamekoft nfl 2012, to use special plays u gotta buy coins.. they really trying to squeeze money outta you now.... not paying for that

Go to manage apps and move to sd card manually. Didn't work for me either until I did this.

Switched back to CM7 stable and runs fine.

I could only play it on the stock rom... doesn't load on MikG or SOS....not sure why

It's fast. I don;t know how it compares to Soundhound because I never used it.

Absolutely loving this widget. Much faster then shazam in my experience, seems to find all the songs I have tried, has a button to buy the song on the widget which is great too. It fits perfectly on my 10 by 5 screen (using nova launcher), only issue is I wish there was an option to make the background transparent. Thanks for posting this.

I'm been using Fallout since i got my DS.
Problem now is when im gonna play HD games like, Eternal Legacy, Shadow Guardian.
It always force close. Dunno why.

Hi there! Are you sure that its the ROM problem? Did you try to flash another rom and check if something others wrong? Are you using warez(pirate-apk file) version of the games or did you purchase them in the store?

A lot of ICS and JLB roms have this problem, Fallout is one of them. Hopefully the release of the RUU and kernel by HTC will help the devs to remove this bug.
P.S: if you wish to play such HD games on an ICS rom, I suggest you switch to ICE DS.

I have also the problem with HD Games, but im using stock ICS / stock kernel.
Fifa 12 for example works without any probs.....
Don't know what causes this behavior..

I think the most stable rom is BlindICE by blindndumb. I'm using it and I haven't discovered any problem with hd games. I'm using even chainfire 3D on it with no problems. You can find the rom on his Site blindndumb.com at the discontinued roms section. The version is final and completely stable(at least for me). Hope this helps

I used to have this problem until I over clocked it to 1.2 and used on demand. BlindIce ran games like a dream
