I mention this in the OP.
The problem is that synergyROM doesn't allow a custom boot animation even with a custom kernel. I asked about it in the thread but didn't get a response. I'll try again.
That's why I use bean's

any chance of getting this for Stock Rooted?

I manually installed to data/local on bean v6 and it works perfect!
Thanks for the animation, schu9120.

It is pretty tough to make one that will work with stock. I'll look into what it would take to get it working with stock and I believe it would then work with synergy ROM too.
I'm busy paving a street right now so I'll look at it after work

Added new AOKP bootanimation

Cool boot animation, works great on Bean's Rom

Hi schu9120
Looks like Synergy is now using a custom kernel......Bootanimation coming its way?

Is there anyway you could make a download of just the blue android part of the countdown animation?! Have it just run that during the boot up process?! Thanks in advance... I'm just being picky
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda premium

Love this - I'm getting white page flashes during the dropping androids (end of cycle) - I can look up how to fix that, but is that something you could fix/repost or do I have something out of whack? Task650 AOKP ROM, included kernel.

Let me start off by saying that my old laptop is being a sh*t head and is making these boot animations WAY more difficult than they should be...

I need some time to get one put together and I haven't looked around to see what kind of Team Synergy images are out there. Do they have a logo?

That's a tough one. I'm guessing that my images are too big or possibly something else... our phones are too busy loading important stuff when they boot up to handle high quality images. I'll see what I can do, but if you find a salution let me know:banghead:
I don't have much free time to work on these but I'll do my best. I'm just a road maintenance worker with an art degree and a four year old boy so free time is pretty tough to find right now.
Every time you hit the thanks button I'll put another 10 minutes of work into new boot animations

R2D2 Droid2 Boot Animation Ported to CM6 and Sense 2.1(with sound) [Updated 9/9/10]!

So I ported this over for you guys, apparently there is a sound (.ogg file) for this boot animation but its not included with this or the original zip. The sound seems to be part of the droid 2 rom and if any one can get it I'll gladly add it to the boot animation (d2_r2d2_pu.ogg). There might be some trimming as the resolution for the droid to is way bigger then the heros and I had to crunch it to make it fit. The original animation used jpegs and you might also see some color loss as I tried to make this run as smooth as possible for our heros.
This is a flashable zip so just copy it to your sd card and flash it through recovery. If it doesnt work that way go in and manually delete the /system/media/bootanimation.zip file first and the flash this file.
.... if you d/l from the thread post so that the thread stays bumped and I know people are actually using it.
I also have a completely new boot animation I've been working on and I think you guy will like look for it tomorrow or Friday .
Update:
About the sound, it seems that the droid 2 will have a new bootanimation implementation that allows for sounds to be defined in the desc.txt maybe when the droid comes out we can get a img dump and see what's going on... I tried to make this work for cm6 and short of me doing the c code myself its not going to work. Maybe one of these days I'll get around to checking out my own repo.
So the 2.1 version Does have sound but its not a looping sound... this seems to be how it was designed to work with the droid 2 bootanimation so I tried to sync it up as best I could... hope you guys like it.
D/L here cm6 version r2d2 boot animation cm6 flashable zip
D/L here 2.1 Sense version (with sound) r2d2 boot 2.1 animation flashable zip

I've looked into this and it doesnt seems possible... yet. It seems the Droid 2 's build of Android 2.2 has something in the boot animation process that allows sounds to be played. The desc.txt has an extra parameter that specifies a sound to be played for a parts of the animation. I'm looking into how hard it would be to and this to the boot animation code in AOSP 2.2.
Awesome! That sure didn't take long...
I gotta ask, is there any way this would work on any of the 2.1 roms, I tried CM6 and found it a lil buggy still for my everyday use and went back to another rom.

[MOD]DI14 Eclair No Clock in Status Bar

****THIS MOD IS FOR DI14 ECLAIR ONLY****
For those of you that use a clock widget like me and are annoyed by there being a clock in the status bar too, here's a handy mod to remove it. For those of you that are already using the ESKBL mod, this will nuke it, so I went ahead and made a batch of combo mods also. If you want to flash back, I also uploaded an undo package as well.
Here's an image

As always, I am not responsible for what you do to your phones. You know the drill. Disable lagfix. Make a backup. Flash in recovery. Wipe Dalvik. Extra long boot time. If your erection lasts for more than four hours, seek medical help immediately!
Mesmerize:
NoClock
NoClock/10SecESKBLcombo
NoClock/20SecESKBLcombo
NoClock/32SecESKBLcombo
UndoNoClock
Showcase:
NoClock
UndoNoClock
I'll get the combos put up as soon as I get them working correctly.

You should just have to flash the package. Possibly wipe Dalvik cache if it's giving you problems, and reboot. It's just a modified services.jar for your framework. Which one are you trying to flash?

OK, that's the problem. You have to be running a deodexed ROM. It can be completely stock, but it has to be deodexed. You can do this one of two ways. One, you can deodex your phone yourself using xUltimate v2.2.2. Two, you can use the Pick-n-Pack ROM and just install all of the extras and you will have a stock, deodexed ROM. Personally, I would just deodex your own phone so you don't have to go through a full flash. If you need help with that, I would be more then happy to help out.

OK, this is working for the Showcase now. It seems that it always was, but I can't follow my own instructions sometimes and make sure my testers are running a deodexed ROM. lol
SO, make sure you are running a deodexed ROM or this won't work. PnP or super clean will work for sure.
Hello, I was turned on to this thread via the XDA home. I was wondering if this would work on others phones?
Or would I just need to be a Guinea Pig? lol

It definitely would not work for other phones. The mod is made using part of the framework of the individual phones. In this case, I've used the Mesmerize and the Showcase.

Edit: also I forgot, just in case, you need the htc drivers as well. A moot point most likely but anyways...
No probs Diablo.

Yes sir, what do you have in mind,or do you want me to come up with something?
1)Need font color(Only colors are red,white,royal blue,ICS blue and yellow)(Optional)
2)Logo(Optional)
3)Font style(Optional)
4)Custom text(Optional)
If none is presented,i will customize it myself.I can only make the logo soo big, because of PU(Partition errors) errors.
Re: [RECOVERY]D67MOD Recovery 03/01/2013
great work diablo
Nice work bro.
Re: [RECOVERY]D67MOD Recovery 03/01/2013
Nice bro. Will definitely flash this once I get back home. If it all works out I shall say this is the recommended recovery for my ROM.
On a side note, if it does work as it should, (not saying it won't considering the sources) would a minimalistic version... Sorta like an "unchained" edition be viable for users. My ROM is based on 3 key factors, speed, ease of use and appeal. A GB with Seeder (the first one released with it baked in for our device too), appeal of JB and the ease of CM.
So I would say remove options like the dev menu, advanced options, only have the main 4 wipe options. Ease of use. USB toggle, flash from zip, fix permissions, partition. Just what the average user would use on a everyday basis. Oh and the SD card erase removed lol. God knows I've hit that damn option without thinking twice by accident one too many times.

As far as changing options for you,let me see what i can do,i was able to decompile the recovery with dex's kitchen, but theres certain files that need a linux environment to decompile, which i dont have at the moment,i can however customize it for your rom as far as the UI goes,if your interested and that goes for members, devs and teams alike.

Yeah if you ever get around to a Linux environment and can figure out how to modify the scripts that would be great. If not no biggie. I would just rock whichever default ui you drop.

Niceeeee. Illusion ROM is so sick!
Coooooooooooooool something new, What about modem and kernel? Does it use EPIC modem and is kernel built in? I see that uses Slim gapps, so just get the whatever is latest? Standard all clean install? or coming from Slim I can do dirty install? I am asking as I am on nexus modem with slim 6.
What version is this? 4.2.2 or 4.3?

Clean install and android 4.2.2

Tried this ROM. Thanks. Still definitely beta. I reverted back to domination. Issues I saw were no haptic feedback, soft keyboard stays on screen when hw keyboard is used, halo not fully functional. Will try again when some of the bugs are worked out. Thanks.

Have not tested Halo, but haptic feedback is most definitely working for me, & the soft/HW keyboard switching as well. Perhaps a bad download?
Thanks. Maybe I'll give it another go!
Edit. Tried redownloading and clean install. Same results. Oh well.

I was coming from touchwiz rom. I wiped all partitions and flashed illusion and slim gapps. It got stuck on samsung boot. I had to restore my backup cause I couldn't get it to boot. Does this have a kernel? Do I have to flash a jelly bean kernel to get it to boot?

I had the same issue when flashing this rom yesterday. I ended up trying to flash 4 times from a fresh odin flash each time. So 4 rom flashes and 5 odin flashes later and I am on Domination. I got tired of trying, lol. It wasn't a bad download as I compared MD5's, so ... yea.
It looks like it maybe wasn't converting from BML to MTD, and wasn't dropping in a MTD recovery. I may be incorrect there, but I got tired of it all and wanted a working device again.

Then why not flash another MTD ROM (CM10/10.1) prior to this? Doesn't hurt.

I had cleaned my SD card prior and only had a few files on it. It was what it was.

Alright folks, here's another update... 4.3 is officially merged!! I just did the last part of it and caught with CyanogenMod as far as frameworks goes.
Reference here to see what I'm talking about: IllusionProject Frameworks/base
Of course there's loads of things to iron out, but the overwhelming part of merging 4.3 is now behind us!
I'm still not going to promise an ETA, but I will be doing what I can to get everything functioning the way it needs to be. Thanks peeps for remaining patient through a busy part of my life recently. There's quite a bit in store for 2.5. I may even release a alpha version of 2.5 so you guys can get your hands on a 4.3 build with all the cool nifty features and such :victory:.
