I am sending out my phone and I need to get it back to original state so if they check it and see it's rooted they don't void the warranty,
Can someone please in a few words tell me how to do this or point me in the right direction, thanks guys.

There is a fully stocked unrooted nandroid backup in the development section that you can restore. Then use the one-click nvflash tool to reflash stock recovery and you're good to go.

If you use tga gunmanns nvflash program, one of the options is to flash stock recovery back to the phone. His program gives you 3 options of which recovery to flash, and one of them is stock recovery. You just go through the same process with his program as if you were flashing cwm, only you select stock recovery instead of cwm.

If you lost your IMEI on stock GB and do not have a backup - you have a problem. If you made a nandroid backup when your IMEI was good - you are good. If you flashed one of the newer GB custom ROM's that used the Aroma Installer - you might have a back up.

Here's a link to the stock UVLF4 tar you have to download unzip and use Odin to flash.
http://db.tt/nDASS0XW
To get Odin and the Pit File refer to KOnane's thread on how to flash back to stock.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1591601
If this helps you in anyway just hit the thanks button. I will answer all the questions I can.
Also I am not responsible if you brick your device you should know what you're doing before you attempt this.

Check your imei to check and see it's not borked that causes issues with kies. Also try uninstalling and reinstalling kies sometimes it has problems after using Odin.

1. Mobile odin, however I've personally never used it. There are probably guides out there somewhere how to return the phone to stock.
2. You may still be under samsung's warranty period, they don't care if your phone is rooted and will fix hardware problems. They will flash the most recent stock rom and firmware they have to your phone so you'd have to re root it.

Thanks for your help I was able to get a usb connection enough and I used Odin on my laptop. The only problem I have now is that the custom unblock symbol appears when I boot up the phone. Any idea how to remove that now that root is gone? Ignore the following words...my phone won't let me edit them out. Thanks again.
Edit: it looks like the file I used was a 4.0.4 image. For return purposes is it fine if it's the older version? There should be no signs of root now. I'll keep checking for updates though

I would, if you have an ics rom they will be able to tell something is off. It should accept an OTA update. If you can odin again, use the vrblk3 image and accept the ota to vrbmb1. It may not be updating due to to the jump from ics to the most recent base. That will make sure you're completely back to stock, with a locked bootloader, and a stock recovery.

Is possible to downgrade AT&T ICS 4.0.4(AP Fastboot Mode (S) 0A.72) to GB? My phone is stuck on M logo and I've flashed it almost ten times and nothing. Always tried flashing this fxz: InlineFlashing_Edison_67.21.125_CFC_P3_APBP.xml.zi p
AFAIK GB's bootloader version is 0A.72 too, isn't? So I suppose I can downgrade safely.

Ok can we take this offline. I have a few ideas and we test a few things out and look at some options, but I don't want to clutter this thread with troubleshooting questions and replies, we can post what we did and the outcome once we know what to do next and what we did.
