I used to be able to access my work email through Touchdown but once the company I work for upgraded to Exchange 2010, it no longer works. I've tried several different methods to no avail. Instead, I recently started searching for a few apps that I could install for Outlook Web Access and found two that could be what I'm looking for and both cost about $5. Unfortunately, they don't include a trial period similar to what Touchdown did. Has anyone used either of these apps and if so, please provide some insight on how they work, etc.? The reviews are ok but I'd like to see if anyone could provide some first-hand insight.

EDIT: My mistake, I posted this in the wrong section. Trying to delete but it won't let me?
I am using Outlook web mobile but I cannot get it to notify me.
I know it says that if we can not outo login it will not work but does anyone have any work around that issue.
thanks

I'm looking to partake of some vendor's service for the purpose of PUSH functionality. What does everyone here use? Their own MSE box, hosted Exchange, 4smartphone.net, web2mail.com, or some other service?
Personal Notes
- 4smartphone.net looks like the best, but you have to pay a year in advance (no monthly payments). Forget that.
- web2mail.com doesn't look like it supports SP2 which enables Push.
- I don't have a license to run my own Exchange box
- Other hosting services chanrge $15+/month and mostly without SP2.
What else are the choices out there? Now that we have ROM's that support it, I would assume MANY people will be looking for a solution on the server side.
Use vgsmail and keep your current mail server.

Anyone else? This should be a pretty active thread... but only one response.
BTW, I saw someone mentioned www.utica.nl

I use 4smartphone.net as of yesterday -
I've set up mail forwarding from my belfast-biker.com domain to the 4smartphone one, it sync beautifully, BUT...!
It syncs lovely between OWA (I think that's it, the web-based Outlook thing) and the Exec, but there seems no link with my normal Outlook, and I'm sure there should be.
Also, when I receive emails, they go to my device, and my OWN, but not to my normal Outlook anymore, I'm sure it's coz I've failed to establish a link I should have done.... any help?
Hi,
I have searched the forums without any luck in finding exaclty what I need so I thought I'd post a new thread...
I have a HTC Trinity (AKA P3600) and I use the calendar very muck. So far only for private entries because I have my meetings at work in Outlook in my PC and haven't really needed them in my phone so far. Now I got promoted and must be able to update my calendar from my phone since my colleagues need to know where I am and who I'm in a meeting with.
The problem is that I don't wanna put my private stuff on our company's server, even though I know I can set appointments as "private". I would really like to either use Outlook Mobile for separate calendars, or I need to find another calnder-appliction to install. And that needs to be one that's not just "a skin" for the information stored in Outlook Mobile (or is it called Pocket Outlook? I don't remeber atm). I would prefer to be able to sync both calendars some way if possible. And oh, I don't mind paying for software if it's good so pelase tell me of commercial applications as well.
Can anyone help me with suggestions on how to solve my problem?
Thanx so much in advance. Have a great day!
Markus
I suddenly am unable to view my email messages. I can download them, and they show up in the inbox, but when I click on them, nothing happens. I have three email accounts (Comcast POP3, gMail, and Hotmail) and have used them for years. I did make only one change in the past week to my phone, and I believe it does have some connection to my problem. I use Internet Explorer Mobile occasionally to visit some secure web sites that I cannot open with Opera. I hate the newest version of IEM 6.5, so I downloaded the older version that came with WM6.1 and that is when some of my problems started. At first, I couldn't open gMail. But Comcast and Hotmail both worked fine. Then yesterday morning I couldn't open Comcast but Hotmail still worked. Now today nothing will open. Any suggestions? Anyone know of a cab for the latest Internet Explorer Mobile 6.5 that I could reinstall? Maybe that might fix the problem. I know IEM isn't very popular, but I still need it for a couple of web sites. Thanks in advance.....
Tony
Dear all,
This is my 1st thread in this forum. Have done a lot of research and finally found a solution for a feature i have been hoping for. Would like to share it with you guys.
It is about email problem on exchange 2003. Item 3 is the feature i wanted to share, but i am including item 1 and 2 to benefit some who might have other problem about email.
1. Connection refused to the exchange server. Symptom is it will works for a while, maybe 1 or 2 days, then it suddenly fail to connect to the server. Even a reboot will not fix it. Can only be temporary fixed by delete/recreate the account.
Solution: Install 3rd party email client. I have tested Touchdown, it never have this issue. Currently using Enhanced Email and it looks ok so far too. I know this is not a new issue and many people knows that touchdown can fix this. So this is actually not the good news i want to share.
2. Calendar refused to sync with exchange 2003.
Solution: It appear that some of your calendar entries might be corrupted or having unlimited or too many reccurence. I deleted some of my useless entries then it works fine. This is not new too.
3. There is inbound HTML mail (meaning you when you read it, it is HTML), but when you reply to the mail, it become txt format. This make it painful for the recipient to read, and it make the email chain become txt format and not looking nice anymore.
Solution: Use Enhanced Email. This is the only email client for android that i found to be supporting Outbound HTML for exchange 2003. This feature is not even available in expensive software like touchdown. Even iphone does not enjoy this feature (many people claims how effortlessly iphone is when talking about HTML for exchange 2003).
I am not here to promote Enhance Email. Just sharing this information that i believe will benefit many people.
Please click the thanks button if you find this information useful.
Best regards,
longdi
A little late reply...
As for #2 you may find many clients with this issue. Take a tip from an Exchange admin and never create an endless meeting. Always have an end date. Try to only set it for a year or so as well. Meetings with too many occurrences will tend to mess with some clients and can be corrupted because of it. The iphone used to really have issues with these as well.

So my company just started forcing the use of Outlook mobile app for our email. I despise this app and and would rather use Nine. Does anyone know how to bypass this? I could in the past when it was just ActiveSync, but don't seem to be able to with O365. Thanks in advance!
Thread moved and cleaned up.
