I Have just used s-Note and sketchbook Pro. I find s-Note to be more smooth and precise in detail work especially pressure sensitivity. I wish there was an app that had the stability of S-Note with the features of Sketchbook Pro.

You could try Infinite Painter for Galaxy Note. It's more like an Artrage for Android. There is a free version that is specifically for the Galaxy Note phone, but it may work with the larger Note. The developer is very responsive so if it doesn't work just send him a message to get it worked out.
You might also try Adobe PS Touch and Adobe Ideas. I also like Papyrus Beta for sketching on my Note phone.
Those are a couple options that will likely work with the s-pen.

Yes, it was at least on mine!
By the way, if you want to use an ideal calculator for the Note then use MyScript Calculator, for free on Play store

Thanks for the suggesting Painter and Papyrus , I'll check those out. Unfortunately Adobe doesn't cut it in tablet apps which is a shame.
I would install Ubuntu on it with MyPaint... I hope it will be posibble (with dual-boot) in the future.

Agreed the adobe stuff sucks. It also requires a $50 per month subscription to get real files out. It's atrocious.
The Painter dev is very responsive and seems like a great guy.

Try checking for such apps in Thinkpad Tablet forums. If they don't work now, I think they will be ported quickly.

if i can direct you to the following: https://play.google.com/store/apps/...MsImNvbS56cHdlYnNpdGVzLmxpbnV4b25hbmRyb2lkIl0.
It won't do me much good probably (I'll check soon) because it works through VNC - no pressure sensitivity.

I usually just uncheck screenorientation and then use snote in "landscape" i find snote better cos it has other cool features. I have physics course at school now and I honestly have no idea on the math part cos its been 2 years since my last physics course. Luckily I just bought my note 10.1 and I do all my homework (when I do) with it and when im on a lesson im the first one to finish our tasks cos i use snote my teacher asked me how i suddenly can do it so fast and i told her that im just so freaking good. I'd like to see her face when shes checking my exam which I obviously have to do without my note.. that's a little off topic but I find it to be a very good example on how good our device actually is

Okie guy, Note 10.1 is useful for study, however, i think Snote should have much more improved.
In my job, i have a lot of meeting and i often use mindmap to take notes. So i'm looking forward a useful application to do that.

Yeah it could be much better I agree hope they develop snote more cos it has a lot more potential than it actually shows right now. Maybe the most important feature for me is splitscreen which sadly doesnt work on other applications..

Did anyone come to any further conclusions. I've had a look around the play store, and the main options I can see that remain even remotely affordable are:
- mindmeister
- simplemind
- iMindMapHD (more pricey)
- connected mind
- snote with shapes enabled (I find these hard to edit)
But none claim any form of stylus support
Any feedback on which are the most usable for quick editing, navigation, use of handwriting (to name a node, or add notes to a node) and especially any comments on whether or not the spen helps

Hi,
I try iMindmapHD, however it doesn't support spen. Now, i usually use Qill App to draw and take notes. This application supports to draw lines and shapes too. I can try.
Have fun.
Mindjet
I've been using the Mindjet program in windows version for years. I've tried many Android apps, but I went back to Mindjet because
1. It works the way I do.
2. You can customize the look a great deal.
3. You can standardize node to make it easier to recognize later.
4. The files are compatible with the Windows version.
Your mileage may vary.

Interesting idea, but the app is £5.50, has no comments & minimal description -- though the pictures look nice
Any app at that price needs either a demo period and/or restricted free version so that the user can see if it's suitable
http://elevenworks.com/touchdraw-features/ gives some info (though android isn't listed on their website), though again it's unclear how usable the s-pen might be, or the app generally.
I've sent them some questions at https://twitter.com/touchdraw

It'll help, but not make it free. He stated the cost of TouchDraw is £5. On the market here in Canada the cost of the app is $13.50.
With that said, how do I get this $5 USD voucher?

Not compatible with the note 10.1. It also got bad reviews. Don't overhype things
Why would anyone want to downgrade to a dumb stylus unless you're with an iPad or the like?
Weird, working on my Note... Did complain about lack of support for the eraser on my Stylus.
Overhyped? Reported didnt overhype but am happy with Wacom getting into mobile art. I have loved their digitizers and equipment for years.

Got problem parsing the package error. Thanks, no worries.
the notes it seems to be made for have a much smaller screen than the note 10.1.
We should now "bombard" Wacom with requests to issue an app + drivers for PC to use the Note 10.1 as full digitizer tablet for PC !!!
I think I figured out how I got it to download.
I have a 5.3" Note and a 10.1, I grabbed it with my smaller note first then installed it on the larger from the store's "My App" list.

i personally haven't used many drawing apps other than snote, but that being said snote is a great app for simple drawing and there is little to no lag when using the stylus. I use it in class when taking notes to draw diagrams and such. You can select between different tools such as: pen, pencil, highlighter, and paintbrush which can also be pressure sensitive. I have owned this for about two months now and have nor regretted it once.
This 10.1 pen is great for drawing I ya the following paid aapps sketch pro and sketch book and ininfinity design, ask where really detailed drawing apps. Highly recommend giving them ago

Go check in the General section. There's a thread with posted sketches.. FYI, I don't think digital equipment can replace physical (analogue basically) art at the moment, but it's pretty ***king great if you're doodling and stuff (or doing cartoon sketches and not super detailed art pieces).

Seems to be the S-PEN Writing apps/features --- so called exclusive to the GALAXY NOTE devices (smartphones & tablets)
are not so exclusive after all.
As an owner of the Galaxy Note II, I ported over the S-PEN app to my folks Samsung Skyrocket S2 devices (using LIQUIDSMOOTH rom)
and all works just as perfect as they do on my GNOTE.
Only difference is that in order to utilize the writing feature, you need a stylus. The Galaxy Note stylus does NOT work but a generic standard TARGUS STYLUS (purchased at Office depot for $8.00) works brilliantly.
My folks are having a field day sending me handwritten texts.
Note stylus will never work on skyrocket.

so whatever happened to the files? anyone ever get this done? i recently discovered using those little capacitive pens works amazingly with the skyrocket -- allmost exactly like the note. but i want to be able to take notes like the note as well. anyone?
Files.. or it didn't happen.
Does the interface work on the Skyrocket? I don't know the specs of the Note, but it seems to me that it might get distorted because of the different screen sizes.
Can anyone recommend a good mind mapping app for android? I've looked at imindmap but it seems kind of expensive for my needs. Just need something that's fairly simple to use and will allow me to insert images and links, as well as label the branches themselves.
Thanks in advance

Not seeing that in the play store even when searching from play.google.com - could you provide a link if it is in the play store? When I tried it as "dropmind" nothing and as "drop mind" it comes up with SimpleMind which has a free and paid version.
DropMind doesn't have an android app. You can connect to their service for free with the browser. Not a good option if you have a wi-fi only tablet like me.
