Hi, one of my friend has an xperia arc s LT18 which fell in water few days back he then immediately took out it from water, took out the battery and let it rest for few hours then tried turning on the phone but it's camera wasn't working so the service center guy repaired the camera but now after two days when he turn on the phone and turn on the wifi the phone automatically restarts, it works fine if wifi is off, I've tried updating it using SEUS many times but as soon as I turn on the wifi the same issue starts again.
Please advise me on this. thanks in advance.

i was happily swimming with my Xperia Z Ultra in the past month, until it decided to live on the edge by opening it charging port and letting all those horny water drops get into the phone.
long story short it stopped turning on; so i opened everything in the device, put it in the rice for 3 days, put it back together & BAM! it worked... well until the Sony logo it kept rebooting then DOUBLE BAM... it's dead.
tried to charge it but nothing, tried to connect it to my laptops but nothing, it's rooted tho.
Now I realllllly realllly want the files in that phone so bad; is there any hope to restore them? I'll buy another phone for those data if i have to!
any help would be appreciated.
I had my phone exposed to water but all the seal was shut tight. I had no idea how the water went in and I'm not even sure if it was water damaged. The phone was working fine for about 30 mins then it shut down itself. I tried to turn it back on but it only went to the part where there's a sound n something like a wave moving around then the phone died again for real. Tried to charge it, connect to the PC and reset it. Nothing worked. When I connected it to the wall charger and press the "off" or power button + vol up, it buzzed 3 times continuously for about 1 min. Pls help me fix this
Hello, thanks for using XDA Assist.
We have a help section for the Z3 http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3/help where you can post your problem in detail , ask for help and hopefully fix it.

Hello xda community ( first post )
So i own a sony Xperia neo V and i have a very weird problem. So I left it charge overnight and the morning i tried to turn it on but it wouldnt turn on. I tried a lot of things until 1 day later after removing sim and sd and pressing vol up+power it turned on. I backed up everything and tried to turn it off and again on but again it wouldnt!
O dissasemplied it and cleaned everything in case there is a short circuit. i unplugged and repluged everything i could inside it.
I left the battery out for 1 month.
I tried the battery on my xperia tipo and it was working fine.
I made a hard reset.
I made a topic on sony site they didnt help at all, they just said the obvious things.
Now I am trying this forum, my last hopes to make it work again. Right now i turned it on and it works fine! The power button works always in both press and long press. The screen and touch screen works fine. Everything works properly. No sim or SD inserted.
Help
Ask me whatever you want i will try to answer everything. Please dont tell things like remove battery and stuff i already tried these.
The weird part is that everything works fine! but still it wont turn on 99% of times. i tried to keep track of the things i did to find a pattern of things but it turns on totaly randomly. There is no procedure that has more success than just pressing the power button and hoping to turn on.
Additional info: It has suffered water damage some times in the past and many falls from about 1 meter. It always worked after leaving it on the sun for a day or two without the battery and turning it on. I found no rust or corrosion signs when i dissasemplied.
Thanks!
EDIT: I found out that if i change the pressure i apply on the battery connectors the device has a higher chance to turn on!

Hello again
So I took the phone to Sony after 1 mounthvi got it back
They sey they changed the battery and some parts and updated the system
But after one week of receiving it the problem is still there
I have read that it may be a software problem but I did a repair by Sony companion
Anyone have any solution?
I know there is a lot of post and solution of the "sudden death" for the Z3 but none of them has worked for me so far. I've tried anything (except opening the phone), pressed any buttons for any given time but the phone won't turn on. Even the light doesn't turn on. I also bought a Sony dock to charge it hoping that the micro USB port was broken but even after letting it in charge for a night, nothing happens.
I've also done all the steps from the Sony official website even installing the Xperia Companion but obviously it doesn't detect the phone...
Is there anyone that can help here ?
Thanks
How did you solve the problem?
My phone is still dead. I'm not able to turn it on. I just replaced the old battery with a new one without improvement .... :/
