[Help] [Updated] [Solved But Questions] Complete List of attempts - Samsung Infuse 4G

Ok I have been all over the place tonight trying to get my phone to flash back to stock.
I had a custom Rom Flashed on my phone and attempted to flash back to stock. I was unable to and it locked up.
I can now finally get it into download mode and have tried the following
GTG ultimate Unbrick
Heimdall stock_sgh_I997_UCLB3_Repartition-One-Click
Heimdall SGH-i997-UCKJ4-One-Click
I have tried switching ports... I havent tried switching puters... Any other suggestion would be helpful!
Switched Computers... Got Heimdall one click to push through but now stuck at recovery screen...
Update Ok i got Odin to finally push through on my big pc... I got my phone to start up with Froyo used it for all day pretty much. I wasnt able to update or install anything from the market... which was wierd....
Now im working with Kies mini to do a update But i think thats stuck.. (sick of this crap)
As of 1:44 Rebricked... Im getting this screen The Phone .. Triagle warning thing .. computer
Cant get into Download mode again. Going to try to Re heimdall it with qksters pack
As of 1:50 tried Qksters GB stock Heimdall pack.
As of 1:55 sucessfully reflashed to Stock UCLB3 using qksters pack mentioned.
Now i cant connect to the market it says that there is a server error?
[Fixed and Solved]
Im now running stock Gingerbread on my Samsung Infuse 4g...
(question) is it even worth it to flash a rom... Because ive been having so many problem... or should i just leave it stock.

Keep trying with another package this time.
See if this one works for you: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=27286083#post27286083

Just found it and read it.
Funny and true all at the same time... So i guess i need to root!
So what do you suggest for Roms... I used to have Zeus but Dman moved on to the Gnote so no more Zeus Support... So what would be another good rom that is moderately stable
Im really looking for a good Rom with some good tweaks that stable!

In all honesty, they're are pretty good. Stability is stock. Tweaks invite instability.
Zeus, Aeon, Eman, Mac, Ethereal etc...it's a matter of finding one that suits your taste.
As you have figured out the heimdall to go back, go forth and explore.
Try the Moo E's. I hear they are pretty good too.

I feel your pain...
When I first got my phone, I quickly went about putting a custom rom on it.
I think I used DarkyRom for Froyo back then...
Had lots of issues with things being kind of slow.
Later put Aeon on, liked it for a bit, then had massive problems with the phone locking up and restarting...
For a while, I decided screw it, and went back to my Blackberry Torch. =X
Decided to wipe everything and put a stock Gingerbread on.
Again, huge issues. Got to the point that I could barely even make calls on it,
I hated it. Nobody else ever seemed to have these problems.
July rolled around, and lots of stir circling around ICS development for our Infuse.
Still new, lots of bugs, but I was interested.
When things finally stabilized, I decided to take a dive once again.
Flashed Paranoid Android ICS.
Oh my holy God... The difference was unlike anything I had ever had with my Android.
No lag. No freezing. No reboots or forced battery pulls!
For the first time ever, my Infuse was a true joy to use!
I've been on it for over a month now, and haven't had a single issue. I love it.
So, if you are feeling adventurous, try an ICS rom. It just may be the change you've been looking for.
Paranoid Android was recently (yesterday) upgraded to Jellybean too, though I've not tried it yet.
At very least, give the ICS 4.0.4 build a try.
Worst case, you could just flush it back to an earlier stock.
Good luck!

Darky ROM is not compatible with Infuse.
None of the roms under "download" in Rom Manager are compatible for the Infuse Phone except for the one under the heading of: "gtg465x" which is the Infused rom which can also be found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1105413
There are 2 other custom roms which are made for the Infuse, one is called "Bionix Infinity" which you can find here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1120469
The other rom is called "Refused" which can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1101072
If you are having problems getting the phone back into recovery mode there is only one thing which will solve the problem for you.
You will need to download the "Ultimate Unbrick" rom.
You can find the Ultimate Unbrick rom here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1116251
This will get you back to the stock froyo 2.2 rom.
Be sure to follow the step by step instructions in the link above.
Good Luck!

Don't worry, your phone is NOT bricked at all, it just has to go into download mode and re-flashed with the stock rom using the Odin3 (TAR file method).
The reason you cannot get it back to recovery mode is that by trying to flash a none compatible rom it messes up the bootloader in the phone and as far as I can tell the only way to get it to work is by using Odin flash method which is really easy if you follow all the instructions completely.
Again, good luck!

[Q] Noob needs a little help

Ok so I just got me a New samsung showcase. It came with 2.2 installed build number sch-i500.ee25. Ok so i find out about rooting and all this so i start researching all about it. Here is where i am. I rooted with SuperOneClick. Worked fine. I installed ROM manager to get the clockworkmod but it did not work so I used Odin to install clockworkmod. That worked fine. So at this point I decided i need to backup the stock ROM. I try this using ROM manager but no go. it reboots into clockworkmod and gives me the sd card not mounted stuff. So I read and read and read but i can't seam to find a solution to this problem. I know there other people that have had this problem. I have read through the step by step guides and i really see nothing on this. Anyone have any type of solution.
Running on stock 2.2 rom manager doesnt work. You will need to go into cwm by turning off phone, holding power, vol up and down at same time. after samsung blinks 2nd time let go of buttons and you will boot into recovery.
Thank you. I thought I tried that before but I guess i did something wrong. Worked that time. Now if my memory is correct from reading that will not back up two things. The kernel and something else. How do I back up the kernel? Or am I just not thinking correctly cause I have not had enough sleep.

Second, Download and familiarize yourself with a program called Odin. This phone is hard to brick. From nearly every situation you can flash back to stock with Odin.
Third, Showcase files are not common. Send me a PM and ill give you my email address. I can better help over email.

What will scare newbies off is when they start flashing crazy **** for another phone in the Phone box in ODIN or something and can't fix it by just ODIN'ing like you guys are suggesting.

[Q] Download mode but unable to unbrick

Just what everyone wants.... another thread about a bricked phone.
I have no idea what happened to my phone.... I have been running Valhalla Final for a week now with no issues to speak of and lost all my ringer tones after a failed attempt to put sound on a boot-loader using Absolute System. I rebooted into recovery and tried to restore my nandroid which failed when it said unable to unmount system. when I rebooted it had fc in android.core multiple times so I rebooted again and after it loaded had no control. did a battery pull and then would not go past the power up screen. downloaded heimdall one click file T959V-UVKJ6-One-Click.jar and put it into download mode. flashed and it went fine until factoryfs failed. now still in download but img is pic of phone to computer. last 2 attempt was
SMS-KJ6-beta2d_Stock-Rom_with_Bootloaders-One-Click.jar and it failed first at loading the modem and then at loading recovery.
I am lost. seems like everything I try makes it little worse. Have not tried ODIN yet.
Is there any hope or am I out a phone?
Give Odin a try. Last time I used Odin it froze so I pulled the plug, and when I put my phone back in download it showed that same screen, yet Odin still went through.
So no, that screen doesn't mean you're out a phone.

Grab chadster's KG4 here. I believe it has ODIN 1.85 included in the file. Don't mess with any of the check boxes in ODIN; let ODIN decide what to check.
After that, you should be able to get back to KJ6 via a one-click.
Shady grab Ravers stock GB and honks GB odin kernel. Flash Ravers, If you can, then honks. That will give you stock plus cwm. You know where to go from there. Funny thing is just yesterday FB had a post about leaving BOOTLOADERS alone w/o unbrickable mod. Good luck.
Downloading now from sendspace.com

Are you going with the chadsters leak or ravers stock?
I don't know why you guys keep recommending old (leaked) ROMs to debrick with.
@Shady if you see anything posted by myself, dsexton, bhundven or raverx3x you can bet that we've tested it extensively and that it'll work on your phone.
On that note I recommend you read the whole page here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1358498
Download from the SMS KJ6 (beta2d) Kernel Stock Rom with Bootloaders link. This will get you a one click flash solution that you can go back to when you have problems. This, unlike the KG4 file others have been recommending, is the latest version of gingerbread (KJ6 is 2.3.6) and you'll have a custom kernel + root to boot so you can get flashing other gingerbread ROMs. I hope you don't have trouble flashing, and if you do, read the OP to what I linked you to. All the instructions are there.
I know this file has been failing for you but you can try restarting your computer and flashing it from safe mode. When your computer is booting up, keep pressing F8 until you get a menu. Pick "Safe mode with networking" from the menu using your arrow keys and press enter.

Weirdest thing I've ever seen in my Android life. Help!

OK I'm in front of the weirdest thing I've ever seen in my Android life. Turns out I got my Infuse 4G and turn it back to stock AT&T Gingerbread 2.3.6 using Heimdall One-click Back-To-Stock UCLB3, and in the middle of process it seems my USB port disconnected my phone and I though I would see a brick, but thank God it was not that bad (I thought). I change the USB port and put my Infuse in download mode again, passed the tool again and everything went like heaven (again: I thought). I got my stock AT&T Gingerbread 2.3.6, but I never seen CWM anymore, I just can't because the weirdest screen I've ever seen (you'll see).
I thought my phone was unrooted, so I maded my way straight to SuperOneClick v2.3.3 and begin the simplest process. Well... it was unable to root my phone and believe me, it's not ADB problems, I know it because I can install apps through Android Commander without any problem... so that's the first weird thing I have here.
Until that moment I thought my phone was bad-flashed or something, so I tried with another tool, the mythic Odin with h8rift's [UCKD5] Odin - Stock (Root+3e) and with my device in download mode it never shown itself as COM## on Odin (required to start the process), however I clicked on PDA button, selected the .tar.md5 file and start the process that never started (logically).
So right now I have no idea what to do or where to go.
I'm apologize if I explain every little detail, the thing is that most of the time one get answers starting with "You did this?" "Have you tried that?" I all I want is to avoid that. For example, I have USB debugging, ok? Another thing someone could ask.
Please help me guys. I madded a video so you can see what happens when I try to enter CWM. Even when my phone starts, during AT&T logo screen flashes with a strange distortion. I madded this video and post it to YouTube so you can see what is hard for me to explain.
Please HELP!
I need anything that from scratch clean everything and put my phone shiny.
Best regards.
You have "rainbows" because you don't have Gingerbread bootloaders.
You need to use odin a GB leak or Heimdall a GB leak to correct the problem.
Your initial failed flash on heimdall was due to a bad connection -usb data cord or computer usb port.

If reading right, you are on uclb3 now. Soc can't root that. I don't think anything can. You have to load another kernel. Like qkster said see his sig. I used both uclb3 packages two night ago. Both work.

EDIT: OK I've installed (again) Heimdall UCLB3 2.3.6 but with the Flash Bootloader box checked and everything goes like heaven, NO MORE RAINBOWS However I can't root it with SuperOneClick v2.3.3, why is that? How can I root it?

I see you have not read either the original post

there clearly says that the only way to root in 2.3.6 is by flashing DD Entropy512's kernel.

from froyo with recovery, you can flash any rom. bypassing the bootloader.
a lot of people do this w/o prob until they run into recovery issue.
i'm not sure re: the exact architecture why this occurs.
the kernel gurus can tell you more.
if you use odin, and install one the gb leaks, you will have that BL, until you do a repartition with gtg's ultimate unbrick which brings you back to froyo. I think you will lose the bl's.
In good practice, I use the 1click heimdall w/ repartition - these are packaged with "official" GB leaks. imho, i believe they are better suited for a base to get to your custom GB rom.
if you're running infused 1.6, there is no needed 'cause it's froyo.
no rainbows there
edit: to each his/her own i guess. the reason why gtg's "unbrick" seems like a life saver is due to repartition with PIT files image.
the heimdall 1 click does the same thing but takes the guess work out from the inexperience user.

[Q] unbrick blaze

Hello,
I'm truly hoping someone can help me. I spent all night installing new roms on my phone. Ok let me back up. This is bout the tenth phone I've rooted. I rooted my blaze about 2 months ago using a one step(I think can't remember.) I never really installed a custom Rom until last night. The first Rom I installed was cm10, which I liked. Only problem was I couldn't mount my sd card because I am no where near a computer. So I decided to install the baked Rom. I was ecstatic to find that everything worked. However, the cm10 Rom seemed to be running at the same time. I found that very weird. So I tried to figure out a way to get the cm10 off my phone. For hours I tried wiping and reformatting different things from recovery. My problem is the last time I rebooted my blaze out wouldn't go past the Samsung screen. I've tried all combos of the volume up down and power key and it never goes past Samsung. I'm assuming I've bricked my. It will show the battery charging screen. 1st it'll show the stock screen then the baked screen for charging. Please help me. I've searched xda for help and can't find anything to help.
Ps. I'm not at a computer now but please list help for when I'm able to get to one. And yes I've only gotten about 3hrs of sleep in the last 20hrs from messing with my phone.
Sorry for posting in development first meant to post here.
Odin to stock uvlh5. From sammobile.com/firmware
Edited... because I speak without thinking
^ what he means is download the stock ICS ulvh5 firmware from sammobile.com/firmware for the blaze/sgh-t769 and flash it on Odin.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-T769 using xda app-developers app
Thats why I have the sammobile firmware and odin on a backed up. I've tried to learn from my mistakes well that's what I have learned a lot here hahahaha
Oh i remember reading you are not around a PC a lot... you need a PC for ODIN sounds like you can't get into recovery so PC only other way I know of. If I helped push thanks
