As someone who owns both, I would recommend you stick it out and wait for the magic of an unlocked bootloader and custom ROMs to unlock the full potential of this phone and its dual-core CPU.
Compared to my Inspire, the battery life, lighter weight, better call quality, better antenna, and what seems to be crisper screen make my move from one to the other worth it.
I came from an Inspire, don't trade for it.... I love HTC phones, but I had a ton of oddities, with it.
There are a ton of things that can be done with out an unlocked bootloader, even ROMs, this phone has only been out a little over 60 days, hang tight there will be a ton of great things for this phone.
If you must trade for a mid line phone think about a used sgs, or an Infuse. If you really want a TOP end then go for an unlocked galaxy nexus.
Otherwise hang tight, and use bloat freezer, for the bloat on this phone, it is not bad for a stock build. If you don't like Blur, go get ADW launcher or Go Launcher Pro, or something like that.

I hope you're asking for cash on top. The Atrix 2 is a far better device compared to the Inspire. Not to say the Inspire is a bad device, but the Atrix 2 has far better specs compared to the Inspire. Good luck.

Don't do it.
I can't say that I'm jumping ship, but since my Atrix 2 is stuck in a bootloop and probably will be until the bootloader gets unlocked, I just ordered an Inspire from GreenCells to get me by in the meantime. As soon as the Atrix gets unf*cked though, you can bet I'll be switching back.
I've had so many f**king problems with this thing it insane. I've exchanged this phone 3 times at best buy cause of the same problems and once w/ AT&T. I don't know if I can deal with the same problems again. Such as screen scrambling "like snow on a TV" also random reboots, just to name a few. there are a lot more things I'm having go wrong.

Instead of choosing the inspire and you don't like the ATRIX 2 then see if they'll exchange for the sgs2. I had a nexus s they exchanged for the ATRIX 2. It could happen....maybe.....

I have a question... I have a Stock Atrix2, its doing all kinds of Crazy stuff, Im pissed off now, they announce a fix for the verizon Droid Slopzor, its been out 15th the time Atrx 2 is out. Its also suffering from many of the same things. I think the Atrix 2 should have been fixed or both at the same time.
Question: Does XDA have a Native Mail app similar to what Motorolas Native app can do, has a select all, and undo tab, dumping trash is a pleasure or in any folder..one click your done.?
I have an inspire I will trade right now I also have an atrix 1 love it been wanting a atrix 2

they may offer you another atrix 2. i wouldnt hesitate to do it if they dont give you a different phone. lemons do happen although very rare but it does happen.

Unless you got your phone online or over the phone, they aren't going to send you another phone, let alone an upgrade. If you got the Atrix 2 from a store, you're going to have to take it back to the store. If you've had the phone for more than a month, they will tell you to call warranty exchange to get a refurbished replacement, but not before spending copious amounts of time troubleshooting first. If you have been with AT&T for a long time, without any shutoffs, or a late payment history, you can try the "I'll cancel my service" routine, which usually doesn't work, because you will still have pay an ETF. Basically, they own you until your contract expires. It sucks, but that's how AT&T rolls.

Hi all,
I am switching from Sprint and just ordered a refurbished Skyrocket for $49. I have 30 days to switch to a different phone so what are the chances of the Skyrocket HD or anything else worthy coming out within that period?

Realistically you can't go wrong with a skyrocket. You have 2 devices worth of devs, radio freq. That works on anything but verizon or sprint, which means service can just about be had anywhere, yes maybe no hd display but all the benefits out weigh having hd on a phone

I just bought a skyrocket and don't live in a LTE area...(planning for it this year) I like the phone alot but I noticed not alot of development going on compared to the sgs2. Skyrocket don't have miui which is a pretty popular rom. Anyway, just wanted to ad that tidbit for what's it worth to whoever.

the one he is referring to is a gsm galaxy nexus, which you will have to buy off contract in the 5 hundred dollar range. (atleast that's the only one that can compare to the skyrocket) so unless you have 500 to blow you made the best choice on att right now unless you want the giant note

No LTE yeah, but really wasn't your life chugging fine until now anyways? Realistically, if I got to choose again, I'd take the nexus over the skyrocket. The software pains are absolutely horrible compared to the HSPA pains.
There's always the future software upgrades, nexus will keep you on top of them for at least two revisions, don't expect that from AT&T.

Nexus S is a solid phone with great development and official ics. If you are going to root your phone and start crackflashin', this phone would be great, but if you're going to use it stock, it will be still great with official ics.

Best is very subjective. It would depend how you use your phone. Someone who uses their phone for media will look for something different than someone who needs their phone for calls and reading emails and needs it to last all day on one charge.
I need a phone that gets better than average reception because of where I live.
That being said, the Samsung Galaxy 3 will be tough to beat.

Will u be leaving the a2 for sgs3? Or making the a2 a back up?
I recently moved from the atrix 2 to the galaxy nexus. I am loving it. I still have my atrix though as a backup.
Personally with exception to the camera, the phone is overall just better. The camera is only 5 megapixels but at the same time the colors on Samsung cameras are so much more vibrant than on the moto cameras.
That and I am loving ics on this. Its pretty. Made by Samsung but no touchwiz with no rom flashing is nice as well.

Backup smackup.... I will be using the A2 for straight up dev work & hacking and cracking of the bootloader, also hoping to find a way to get AOSP/AOKP going on this thing...
I already have a kernel and CM9 built for the SGS 3, so I should not have a whole lot of dev work on that phone... that is the thing about the Galaxy phones, they are a dream to develop for.
Long story short, I broke my LCD trying to fix the digitizer. I ended up without a phone for a week while waiting for a whole new digitizer and LCD combined...
Worked fine for about a month or so but now is making the phone glitch to the point where its unusable besides voice actions.
I don't care about having the latest and greatest, but do you think around $200 for a used SGNexus is good for the money?
I ABSOLUTELY need unlimited data. Otherwise, I'd have the SGS3 by now...
