that's good news buddy that you can still go to download mode! flash a stock firmware first to make everything stable.. and then root, and then flash your long-awaited custom rom. also, don't forget to wipe dalvik cache BEFORE you install the custom rom

If u can't get into recovery using the 3 button combo, then there must something wrong with your volume keys. Flash stock rom & check whether it is working.

Try to flash a stock ROM, then everythink will go stable

and dont flash one file fw.
go for xxkpe first then for any other..

I know that this is not related the this thread but plzz answer.
I am currently on cm9 alpha11.the version is 4.0.4.
Now I found aokp rom which is 4.0.3
Can I directly flash to aokp rom using CM recovery or should I do something else? Plzz help :/

My Gfit reboots whenever I enter USB mode or USB debug mode. Has anyone else encountered this problem? If so, is there an actual remedy to this other than reflashing my ROM because I am getting quite tired of that.

before flashing dxkt7 clear cache and data ... i was also facing the same problem but after this it's working fine ..
Ya bro did that than only it worked ....but was reading a forum about base band in that it was mentioned that you can face problem in network reception and wifi problem if on different base band
Okay tried flashing an alternate baseband ROM (DXKT7) the latest at sammobile for asia region. At first I got stuck at an infinite boot loop, then I went to recovery and cleared the cache, did a factory reset, then it worked. I'm going to flash CWM by tj style then the miui ROM afterwards, I hope this solves the problem permanently. Will try activating USB mode/ USB debug as soon as I'm done flashing.
There is a usb bug in miui gb...

[Q] Help! Stuck in CWM!

First of all I am somewhat new to android and rooting, and brand new to xda, so bear with me.
I rooted my fascinate several months ago and have been running teamhacksung's cm9 builds. Every time they come out with a new build, I flash it and all is good. Well I was on build 12, and I just tried to flash build 14 (I forgot to flash 13 when it came out) But after I flashed 14, my phone only boots into CWM recovery! From there I can still flash other rom builds, but that doesn't help anything. I've searched a billion forums trying to find a solution, but nothing seems to work.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
Try booting into download mode. Hold power button + home + volume down.
This should bring you into download mode, where you can use odin to flash an official ROM so that you can start all over again. Of course, you can also use Odin to flash a custom ROM, but I suggest a stock one for you first and then root etc. and then reinstall CWM.

Darn, I was hoping it wouldn't have to come to that... oh well, after trying several times with different ROMs and different versions of CWM, it finally worked! Thanks for your help!
its not big deal!! my friend dnt worry
dnt worry
your phone is jst lost its bootloader(if u r new than it is a patch which help in booting) so jst google "bootloader for (whatever ur handset is )" nd install it using odin
That's not totally necessary. Wipe cache/dalvic cache and data flash rom... Anytime I have that issue it immediately fixes the problem.

[Q] Stuck in endless Bootloop

i'm stuck in an endless bootloop after trying to upgrade the CM10 Beta 4 version on my Samsung Galaxy S Plus.
This is what i did
I'd upgraded from 2.3.3 to 2.3.6 some months ago. Then flashed CM10 Beta 4 by ivendor.
For this i first downloaded the CWM -> recovery-clockwork-5.5.0.4-ariesve.tar.md5 and flashed it using Odin.
Then the ROM file -> cm-10-20130324-ivendor-beta4-ariesve.zip
Was checking the updates on this and found much advances in the 2.5 release of 2 May 2013.
So downloaded the CWM -> CWMRecovery-6.0.2.8-ariesve-kernel26.tar.md5. When i tried to flash using Odin it gave me the MD5 error.
Saw somewhere on the forum to flash using zip file, so downloaded CWMRecovery-6.0.2.8-ariesve-kernel26.zip and tried to flash. This was when my phone got soft-bricked.
Removed the cable, battery etc. After some time, was able to go into Download mode but not Recovery.
Then i tried to flash to stock ROM (2.3.6) - I9001XXKQI_I9001XXKPM_I9001OXFKQ3_HOME.tar.md5. This completed and Odin said PASS. But the phone now goes into a bootloop. Tried the Recovery mode but after the Android-out-of-the-box symbol it again said SAMSUNG and started the boot. This is repeating continuously. What should i do now? Please help.
This is the sequence of things...
1) 2.3.3 to 2.3.6 - Success !!
2) Flash with CM10-Beta 4.a) recovery-clockwork-5.5.0.4-ariesve.tar.md5 - OK
b) cm-10-20130324-ivendor-beta4-ariesve.zip - Success!!!
c) gapps-jb-20121011-signed.zip - Success!!3) Flash with CM10-Release 2.5a) CWMRecovery-6.0.2.8-ariesve-kernel26.tar.md5 - MD5 checksum error !!
b) CWMRecovery-6.0.2.8-ariesve-kernel26.zip - Soft-bricked !!!4) Flash stock ROM (2.3.6) a) I9001XXKQI_I9001XXKPM_I9001OXFKQ3_HOME.tar.md5 - PASS
Bootloop
Cannot go into Recovery mode too (after Recovery mode icon appears SAMSUNG logo comes up and phone boots with the blue spiral, this goes into a continuous loop)

AFAIK, CM10 would have already consisted of the latest CWM, so there is no need of u to flash a CWM again over it!
Ur biggest mistake, u MUST have had a nandroid backup before doing anything to ur phone! This might have been even recommended by the thread of the CM10.
So my last suggestion from the things that u have done, flash the CWM through odin if possible right now and if successful get into recovery mode and wipe data & cache and check whether the bootloop is gone.
Else try reflashing the stock firmware.
If that doesn't even help, get help from the devs related to ur device through PM.
If hopeless still, then hit a samsung service center near u
Hit thanks rather than typing it
Will try this

I already took the Nandroid backup before flashing CM10 Beta 4. But was not able to go into it after my phone was soft-bricked.
Solved - booted into 2.3.6 !!!

A million thanks!! It somehow started now into the 2.3.6.
Flashing the recovery-clockwork-5.5.0.4-ariesve.tar.md5 did not solve the bootloop. Then i flashed the Boot_loader.tar. That too did not solve the bootloop. Tried Recovery mode again but the SAMSUNG logo kept coming and going until i released my fingers after a full two minutes. Then before the android-out-of-the-box icon came it went straightaway into Recovery .
Wiped Data and Cache and rebooted. After a very very long time it started and asked if im okay with the Google data collection policy asked in Polish language.
Wow, going to update to 4.1.2 Release 2.5 in some time.
Thanks again man. :good:
Got CM10 Beta 4 again !

[Q] Bootloop

Yesterday I installed latest CM 10.2 to my p3110. Today I flashed auto tablet-ui patch. Now there comes cyanogenmod startup image but it doesn't pass it. When I try to shutdown the tablet it starts by itself. Weird thing is that connecting tablet to recharger stops the bootloop.
I cannot get to CWM but I can get to download mode. How I fix this? I assume I should flash new rom trough odin. Where I can get detailed instructions?

Instructions said I should do factory reset or at least wipe cache, but I can't because I can't get to recovery.
You may have flashed wrong model tabletui patch in your tab.
If you can get into download mode then do this:
*Go to download mode (Power + Volume down)
*Install Odin (I recommend use v1.85)
*Download a Official Firmware zip for your tab.
*Connect your tab to Pc, then open Odin, and then Flash official zip using Odin.
You are done. Now you will be running Official Firmware from Samsung.
(Please Read instructions carefully while flashing, Good Luck)
