So now you have original cid back and ruu is flashed properly right?
Then for SON this command
fastboot oem writesecureflag 3
(remember if everything is not stock now the phone might get bricked.. To check that.. Please post the output of this command excluding imei... fastboot getvar all)

you just got root?/ are you still s-on with locked bootloader?
the later two are much more important than root..for warranty purposes

you need to do S-ON for warranty claims....and to do S-ON you need to flash stock RUU first(this will remove root)..
check this guide...for S-ON and unroot (step 5)for guide click here
if you just want to unroot...and leave the rest...as it is
then
1.if you got supersu as root manager....there is a option in settings to do permanent unroot
2.if you got superuser. as root manager...then it might have the same option too..chk it..otherwise install supersu from market and unroot

Sorry for the dumb question; I need to return my phone to stock for a replacement. I completed all the steps but what can I double check to make sure I did it correct. I have stock rom and s on. My CID still shows "11111111". I was trying to get the OTA update to ICS but it won't let me download it so it worries me that I still am not completely stock.
Instead of unrooting and all, just download this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1654347
It's the TMOUS Stock ICS release. Make sure you have the proper firmware.
Oops I didn't see that you need to put it in stock for warrenty. My bad

Can anyone assist me with this? I just want to double check before I send this phone off. Its on stock rom, s-on, but cid still shows the "11111111".

Hey..i believe you are on stock rom now.. Also the recovery should be of stock(this can be achieved via ruu run)
Now once you got stock rom and stock recovery.. The next step is changing cid(i believe you are still soff now)
To change cid command
fastboot oem writecid <original cid>
Then the last step should be changing SON.. For changing to SON you should use proper guide

Hi, I've got the same problem as trane116 (HBOOT 1.29 / S-ON / HTC-DEV unlocked), I just install 4EXT on my HTC Sensation XE then flash the AOKP Jelly Bean rom (22 Nv realase). I'm still S-ON but I'd like to come back to a stock version of my phone.
I extract the rom.zip file from the RUU, rename it in PG58IMG.zip then put it on my SD then start in the bootloader.
I've got a loading bar (top-right corner), but when it is full nothing more happens.
What can I do to go back to stock please ?

is there a newer RUU that you can run on your device?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2094414
The only tips that I have are
put back stock recovery on your phone if you have changed it. (you will have to unlock bootloader to do this)
relock bootloader.
OH, and one time even though usb debugging was checked on the phone, I had to uncheck it and check it again before the ruu worked.
Will relocking bootloader automatically restore stock recovery? Cause I am trying to return to stock from S-off back to S-on and I am following this guide but in the HTC One S toolkit, the recovery section doesn't have a stock recovery to flash. I can use some help with this also, I want to see if returning phone to stock will fix signal drop issues and if not I will have to return it on insurance. My biggest problems are I do not have an RUU from my carrier so could use some advice as to which one to use? here is the link for RUU's but there isn't one for Cincinnati Bell wireless.

Hello,
I have a HTC sensation, that i started rooting and install a custom rom - Kitkat from sultanxda.
All worked perfectly, only that one day i wanted to make a sim unlock, because it was locked in Vodafone Romania.
By mistake, i am not an expert, i've used the comand: fastboot oem writesecureflag 3
After this i've got my phone bricked...
I've found Unbriking projet on xda, and with a Linux I have managed on unbriking.
The problem is that now i have S-ON, and i cannot install another ROM, it works only with the ROM that wass installed before bricking.
I cannot get S-off, i have tried Juopunutbear method, but its not working, says to connect the device, and install drivers...
I have tried a lot of method's, i've tried installing a stock RUU, without luck...
I guess that i have to modify my firmware or hboot version, but as I was saying, i am no expert.
I can provide more information, if anyone can help me.
thanks

since it is unlocked you can still flash kitkat rom
just follow step 2 from this guide(flashing a recovery)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1631861
then from 4ext format all partitions except sdcard
enable smartflash(because now you are on S-ON)
flash the rom
but if you still want to use the ruu.exe you must have to relock your bootloader first
