Try this
Take out the battery,
Reinsert battery,
Plug it into the comp with power still off
Type
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
If this gets you to the bootloader, run an ruu.

Try adb reboot recovery

The way I fixed it was proposed by closeone.
This is what he told me to do:
closeone said:
It just sounds like something weird happened to your recovery partition. If you pull out the battery and put it back in, then plug a usb cable into your computer. Do not turn it on. Run the command "adb reboot bootloader" (from your computer). that should turn on the phone and put it into the bootloader. From there, redownload your custom recovery of choice to your computer. Make sure you have a .img file. Type in "fastboot flash recovery [NAMEOFRECOVERYIMAGE].img". Now run your custom recovery and restore the update.zip for your ROM.

What happens if you take out the phone battery, make sure there is nothing connected to the phone, insert the battery and then hold VOL DOWN and POWER? You should be able to get to the HBOOT with those steps.
If it does not work that is bad.

My phone sometimes is completely discharged all of a sudden. Takes about half a minute of charging to get back being able to turn it on again, still connected to the charger. Maybe happened to you? Try connecting it to a powered charger and try turning it on again...

Can you get back to the bootloader screen? (hold vol down + power) If you can, you can get to fastboot and push a different recovery/kernel/rom/whatever you need from the PC (fastboot.exe probably will detect your phone if it's in fastboot mode).

No, when i hold Power (or vol down + power), phone doesn't do anything, screen doesn't light up, no vibration, no any reaction. So i can't get to hboot or fastboot.
Your phone is DEAD.. might be some issue with hardware
when you hold pwr and vol- for 10 secs or so, you must release power and keep holding vol-
just checkin since you didn't mention that
can you use fastboot commands

There are problems entering HBoot sometimes. Try to enter it via your computer. Plug your phone into computer and use the command "adb reboot-bootloader" twice. You should get to the bootloader

[Q] HTC sensation can't enter recovery mode/ HBoot

Hi,
I had rooted my HTC sensation and had a custom ROM. For some reason i had to restore a nandroid backup. After completing the restore, i restart the phone but its stuck in htc splash screen.
I am not able to reach Recovery screen / HBOOT screen again. I tried Volume down + Power button, its not working ( maybe my vol key is bad ). Also, phone is not getting recognised by computer through USB cable to run commands from there.
Any suggestions as to what i should do next ??

power off phone ..then remove battery ..then reinsert it ..then press volume down + power together
that should take you to bootloader
there post the bootloader details
and the complete output of this command (except IMEI)

Eventhough I press volume down + power together, it takes to me to the HTC splash screen. If i try the same by connecting it to the comp through usb cable, nothing happens. Just connected to comp and tried ABD command, it says <waiting for device>.
Thanks for taking time to reply.

I sorted it by doing
adb reboot recovery
Then wiping the cache in recovery. It rebooted and said "Android is upgrading" and then everything was back to normal.
I would have deleted the post but couldn't find the delete button.

Phone stuck on blank black screen

I was using my phone and all of a sudden the screen just turned off. I tried pressing the power button to unlock but it wouldn't. I pulled the battery and rebooted. It went to the splash screen then the screen went blank again (screen is on but it's lit on a black screen). So I removed the battery and this time I was able to get to the home screen, but after a while, the screen would turn blank. Then I went to recovery and did a backup. During the backup, the screen went blank again. Now, everytime I boot the phone, it just goes to the same blank screen (no HTC boot up or anything). I pulled the battery and powered it up using a USB cable and it does the same thing. My orange charge light also doesn't pop up.

I get to the adb devices command line in the command promt and it doesn't list my device after it says "List of devices attached". Assuming I did it correctly, my phone isn't being listed.

I downloaded those drivers, but I'm not sure how to install it.
I'm looking online and it seems that I need to access the phone via Device Manager and install the drivers from there, but my computer doesn't recognize my phone at all.

So I installed the HTC sync manager, did the adb, and it still doesn't list my device. Everytime I plug in my phone through USB (either with battery and no battery) it goes straight to the blank screen and that's it.

If you're phone is read as an mtp device that means it's not dead and the rom is loaded. The screen is black I take it and won't come on?
reboot to bootloader
either using adb (adb reboot bootloader)
or
manually (hold power button until capacitive buttons blink a bunch of times and the phone shuts off then let go of power and press and hold volume until bootloader comes on)
If you still can't see the screen while in bootloader, then your screen is dead.

Are you saying the buttons are actually not working properly?
MTP mode plays havoc with adb, and sometimes fastboot. Of course, if you are not able to access recovery, adb, or fastboot, you are in a very tough spot.
Is the device S-off or S-on?

naah simply wrong boot flash will cause no problem
first of all ..to go to bootloader ...remove battery ,reinsert it then hold power + volume down button ..that should take you to bootloader
edit: you are forgetting to remove battery and reinsert it before doing power + volume down ..thats why you cant enter bootloader
(if you turned off fastboot ..which is on by default you could simply boot to bootloader by holding volume down + power )

Lol, i i tried that literally a thousand different times with different combinations and it just would not enter nothing, all it does is sometimes act like its going to enter something and then it fades of black and thats it, nothing else.
