LG P725 3D Max Android Upgrade? - LG Optimus 3D

originally posted here but i was advised to move it to this forum.
I have recently purchased lg 3d max p725.
it is no secret that the stock andoird provied with it is a big lag maker.
I want to change my android to CM7, accura team or something else that would fit.
but I havn't found any versions specific for this phone.
is there any way to use version of p920 for example?
or maybe port one?
use the original kernel and only change the rom?
maybe there is a version a havn't seen? other ideas?
I am a beginer in this whole android thing so any help would be appriciated.
thanks in advance.

Wrong forum...
AFAIK there is no CM rom for P725. Not sure why though.

[!!REQUEST!!] MIUI for P920 O3D

Hello all,
i'm trying to port or install the MIUI rom for Optimus 3D. I've tried some things, but i don't know how start.
Somebody can help me or tell if the port will be avaible some day?
(I'm trying to install 2.3 MIUI without 3D support) OMAp4 compatible ROM and port it.
The official miui webs for more info: www.miui.com www.miuiandroid.com
Best regards
Well MIUI is based on CM7 and we know that aremcee has got it running on O3D so in theory it should be possible, but I don't know of any other OMAP4 phones to port it from, which would probably mean building it from scratch which would be really hard to do...
Unless there is another phone with similar hardware running it, then you could pull bits from CM7 to try to get it running, but that would mean getting CM7 for the O3D and I don't think aremcee will release it until its running properly with all the 3D bits working

It is really a hard job dude. We should wait for CM7 at first.

Any plans for custom rom for Optimus Pad 3d?

The Optimus Pad 3d just got android3 rom.And lg seems not gonna to update it to android 4.0.
Anyone could do a custom rom for this pad?
Thanks
Custom ROM
If you are willing to root the device, you can install Custom Roms based on Android 2.3.5. There are people that are working on porting Android 4.0 onto the LG O3D. Otherwise there are current Custom Roms that will increase the speed on the phone and make it so much better. Please see the link below to read up on it:

Please not, that it is risky and should only be attempted by experienced users.

sorry, but your info is not valid for the lg optimus pad (v900 aka g-slate). For this pad there are no custom roms available and the boot loader is looked
but please correct me, if you know some relevant infos. I would appreciate this, cause I am looking for a long time for an update to 3.2 or ICS!

You mean that, this crap from LG is running 2.3 ? Is it a Pad running 2.3 ? Ow my GOD, I knew that v900 (can't see 3D content on its own screen) was a very very very very a meanless device, but now I just confirm my suspects.

I have it Optimus Pad 3D
LG are worthless still 3.0 lag and full with bugs not even 3.1 or 3.2
G-Slate got 3.1 from T-Mobile not LG because they are worthless and greedy
Im on a LG sim free UK pad and got the update to 3.1 just fine.
Custom ROMs would be nice though!

[Q] Porting optimus 2x's kernel to samsung galaxy R.

i was looking at the optimus 2x's android dev section and i saw a hell lot of roms especially based on cm9, this must mean they do have ICS working on their phone, which means an ICS comaptible kernel, since both house the same TEGRA 2 processor, i was thinking if our wonderful devs could just port it to galaxy R, it would greatly reduce the effort of building one from scratch, and if it isnt possible then please do tell me why, cause we can all learn and maybe help out 1 way or the other ?
I'm especially bad with kernels , not to mention port them . But if the other devs port them they might just be able to boot my ICS .
This was sent from a Galaxy Ace. Problem?
So, you say Porting is possible??
it may work because i read some of forum members tried ardatdat's kernel with Optimus 2x and it worked with LG Optimus 2X...

Yes, the problem with porting the kernel from O2X will be in H/W acceleration....
Until, we get any of the official NVIDIA Tegra2 drivers... we wont be able to get hardware acceleration.....
So, just wait for another month or so... dear SGR lovers......

[Q] Help with installing a new ROM and making the phone faster!

Hello. I would like to start this thread by saying that i'm a noob in phones and computers in general. So please talk with me like you are talking to a kid.
Now, lets get to the point.
I want to install a ROM on my LG p500 optimus one, any ''newer'' rom will do its job. Now i have rooted the phone(I think) and it was previously installed with 2.3.3 android, and I would like to have a link or a tutorial on precisely how to install it. I mean like 4.3.3 or any newer updates, but the condition is that the phone has to work, everything that works now has to work on the other ROM.
Also, I read somewhere, that some ROM's make your phone perform faster, do you think thats true? And can you show me a tutorial that meets the conditions in bold that i wrote previously?
Please read the following thread to install Kitkat android 4.4.2 which is a smooth ROM
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2589303
But wifi tethering is not working

There is absolutely zero need to worry about lag or anything of such before trying a ROM, Kernel, etc. 'Swapper', 'Swapper 2', and other applications similar to these boost your phone's speed (and oh, not to mention, overall performance) to incredible amounts. They do so by literally increasing the phone's RAM be significant amounts (if you want them to). They use your SD card for the extra RAM. My phone currently has 321 applications installed on it, which should make it lag as GTA running on an under-clocked P500, but guess what? It works as smooth as it runs once you buy it (weird examples, but you're getting the point). My preferance: that should not be your worry. What your worry should be is installing a ROM/Firmware not compatible with your Kernel. Good luck!
The newest and smoothest ROM for me is http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2589303 with this kernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2140930
If it doesn't work as smooth as you expected(that's not gonna happen), you can allways go back to your previous ROM. Try it
