Want just the batteries? Here they are zipped: Downloads Link
Toggles
right clock, 5 toggles, no text, brightness bar
center clock, 6 toggles, text, no brightness bar
Downloads
By default, each of these downloads have 5 visible lidroid toggles w/o text. If you want to have additional visible toggles, or text under them, you'll need to flash one of the lidroid themes below.
· center/right = center or right aligned clock
· bright/nobright = visible brightness slider or not (can use brightness as a toggle if no slider)
· notext = no text under the toggles (see below if you want it)
· hc/ics/nb = honeycomb ics, ics, or no battery icons
Downloads Link
If you already have lidroid's toggles installed and would like to change the look of them to mine, or you'd like to change the number of toggles show by default, flash one of the addons below. If you're flashing one of the clock/battery/brightness slider mods above, it's safe to flash one of these right after to have the toggles look the way you want.
· notext/text = text or not below toggles
· 5, 6, 7 = number of toggles shown at once
Downloads Link
If you wish to return to the stock look of your ROM, flash the appropriate zip: Downloads Link
ROM compatibility
Clock / brightness slider / battery should work on all deodexed builds, but below are the tested
· Bean's - YES
· NoSympathy's - Bugs
· Synergy's - YES
The lidrioid themes in the second link will WORK WITH ALL ROMs (as long as you already have the toggles installed )
Thanks
· lidroid - creating the 15 toggles
· wanam - porting lidroid's mod to the S3
· AndroidGX - lidroid help / themes to come
If you choose to use my work and appreciate it, please hit the Thanks button! If you have a special request, let me know. More lidroid themes to come from myself and AndroidGX!

And in case you were wondering what my lidroid theme looks like on Bean's current r7 build, here's a screen cap:

Changing the date format
(Assuming you already know how to decompile and recompile the SystemUI)
This mod will achieve this:
You should already have removed your carrier text if you want to use this mod.
Method 1
1. Locate DateView.smali in smali\com\android\systemui\statusbar\policy
2. On line 262 delete
Code:
invoke-static {v0}, Landroid/text/format/DateFormat;->getLongDateFormat(Landroid/content/Context;)Ljava/text/DateFormat;
3. Add
Code:
const-string v4, "EEEE, MMM d, yyyy"
invoke-static {v4, v3}, Landroid/text/format/DateFormat;->format(Ljava/lang/CharSequence;Ljava/util/Date;)Ljava/lang/CharSequence;
4. I prefer the "Day of week, Month (short), Day (w/o leading 0), Year" format, but you may choose to format it how you wish. Use this to help you with formatting.
Method 2
If you already like the way I've formatted the date. You can simply replace your DateView.smali with mine and compile your SystemUI.
Method 3
If you don't know how to decompile/compile well and still wish to have this mod, you can use winzip/winrar/7zip to open your SystemUI.apk and replace your classes.dex with mine. However, mine already includes the clock having a small am/pm, so yours will gain that if it current doesn't have the am/pm next to it.

very nice!

Will these work on stock rooted? Haven't flashed a ROM yet, just Root66 via Odin. I currently have CWM6.0.1 recovery, can I flash or do I need to be on a deodexed ROM?

So many options lol. Which should I download for center, hc, 6 toggle text? Combo?

Want a brightness slider or no?
Yes:
Flash https://www.dropbox.com/sh/shkzp7gjyvx7aap/XXE5DruIUd/center_bright_notext_hc.zip then https://www.dropbox.com/sh/shkzp7gjyvx7aap/7sI42LK9In/lidroid mods/lidroid-res_text_6.zip
No:
Flash https://www.dropbox.com/s/pg40ygbwskmecqw/center_nobright_notext_hc.zip then https://www.dropbox.com/sh/shkzp7gjyvx7aap/7sI42LK9In/lidroid mods/lidroid-res_text_6.zip

So what if we flash it then decide we want to go back to stock, would we need to flash the rom again (or restore a nandroid) or will there be a "back to stock" file placed in the OP soon? I don't anticipate wanting to go back though, this looks great!!!

Just flashed this and I'm already loving it. Thanks OP! Just one minor thing- the toggles look a little lo-res (maybe it's just the style)

I tried flashing the center_bright_notext_ics.zip on Nosympathy 3 times and still have no status bar. It is just a blank space. The toggles are there. Any idea why the bar is blank? I'm going to try a different file.
Update: I just tried the hc version and the bar was blank also.

Rehpyc I sent u a pm.

I'll make stock flashable zips of each ROM by tonight, if someone doesn't beat me to it.

Odd. If you flashed one of the first set of downloads and then the lidroid mod zip, it should change just fine. Does the 5 text one work for you?

Coming tomorrow - fully black background of the notification area and the option to have the date under the toggles say something like "Thursday, Aug 9, 2012".
Any requests of what you guys would like to be done?

Thanks! Applied the center/ics/no brightness and then 6 with text (on Beans R7) and they look great.

This is awesome! Looking forward to checking out a few combos. Will be super helpful when you drop the return to stock zips. Running Synergy ATM

Throw me a "thanks" if I helped

what about removing clock all together ?

This belongs in Themes and Apps
Unless you want to post a how to to bake it into a ROM
That would probably qualify as development

Here is the battery with % file. Just download to card, wipe caches and flash.
I started a poll to find out who likes the percent and who doesn't...for future reference. I personally don't but it seems a lot do.

Thanks a ton man! Actually just sent you a pm before I read what you wrote....lol.
After playing with this for a bit I realized that all the black and transparency is great but one other change I can see being needed is in the status bar notification text it's black and is hard to see unless you select it then the font color changes just a thought but making it white on all the black would make it easier to see.

As promised
SystemUI/com/android/systemui/statusbar/StatusBarFlag.smali
Use baksmali or apktool to access the smali.
Look for this chunk of code:
Code:
sput-boolean v0, Lcom/android/systemui/statusbar/StatusBarFlag;->HTC_QS_TASK_MANAGER:Z
move v0, v4
sput-boolean v0, Lcom/android/systemui/statusbar/StatusBarFlag;->HTC_RECENT_APP:Z
sput-boolean v0, Lcom/android/systemui/statusbar/StatusBarFlag;->HTC_QUICK_SETTINGS:Z
Delete this chunk from that:
Code:
sput-boolean v0, Lcom/android/systemui/statusbar/StatusBarFlag;->HTC_RECENT_APP:Z
That's it! No more recent apps.
Just in case you need details....
Code:
baksmali SystemUI.apk -o out-folder
smali out-folder -o classes.dex
Or...
Code:
apktool d SystemUI.apk
apktool b SystemUI
I also noticed you get a little box when the Date comes up in the notifications pulldown. TO get rid of this....
SystemUI/layout/statusbar.xml
Look for the entry for DateView. Change the androidbackground to "#00000000"
Now you won't get that box
I had a quick second.
Here you go
Recent apps removed
Optimized resources
Optimized smali
Date View statusbar fixed
Zipaligned

Damn Tommy you ROCK!! Thanks so much man! I appreciate the guides too. Really helpful!
Edit: That apk you packed up for me actually deleted the whole status bar so back to the drawing boards on that one. Another guide I saw somewhere just had you change the "v0" to "v2" but that also deletes the whole bar. This is where I've been stuck for awhile....lol.

Ok so the smali edit didn't work it just deleted the whole status bar for some reason but I finally got rid of recent apps by just changing the following in res/values-hdpi/dimens.xml:
Code:
<dimen name="recent_app_icon_height">[COLOR="Red"]0.0px[/COLOR]</dimen>
Thanks to jadeboy7 over at Mik forums for that little tidbit
I also did the DateView change to #00000000 but that didn't change anything, still looks the same so I don't quite understand that
This looks great. Very nice. I'm not even using Clean ROM, but had to say this looks really nice. And had to thank Tommy for popping in to help ;-)

I'm not a fan of the blue pop-ups and UI elements throughout Samsung's stock ROM. I also don't like themes that look like a child has gone on the attack with a bunch of crayons. I made some minor changes for myself and decided to leave them here in case anyone wants them.
You get:
- 14 notification toggles - credit to eybee1970 and lidroid
- % Battery
- White overscroll
- Most blue stuff gone - now green
- Pop-ups now grey
- Optimised and zipaligned
- ICS Transition Option (not included in Rocket v12)
Option for animated notification area background - see downloads
The real background is slightly transparent
Backup in case you want to revert.
Downloads:
Light Theme:

KL3 Deodexed - ICS Transition Animations
KL3 Odexed (i.e. Stock rooted ROM)
KKA Odexed (i.e. Stock rooted ROM)
Rocket V9
Rocket V8
The Full Monty - 14 Toggles & Lots of APKs themed:
Rocket v12, v13 and v14 - (Includes the lockscreen and smoothness fix - I have also included nicer toggle icons - do not flash the lockscreen fix over this mod - First boot might take a looooong time... don't panic!)
NOTE - The Rocket version should work on all KL7 deodexed ROMs - Some Darky users have reported problems... backup first.
KL3 Odexed
CheckROM v1 - (Same as Rocket v12, v13 and v14) - Note that your wallpaper will be reset after first boot! - If you want the RTL fix, flash it AFTER you have flashed this theme
Rocket v12 and v13 with animated notifcation area - (Status bar will load a little later - animation appears after the status bar has been pulled down the first time) - opening the status bar is not as smooth as stock and is a bit laggy.
Changelog (for version from 6th January 2012):
- Status bar background added (Rocket ROM only)
Just some of the screenshots:
Use the Quickpanel Settings app to edit toggle buttons.
Status bar background Rocket ROM exclusive.

That is because Rocket is deodexed. You need to have an odexed ROM.
If you have init.d support on your ROM, which I believe Rocket does, you can try this. But make sure you back up first. Just to let you know however, you can't reverse this. So you will need to flash the original ROM again when you want to change the base (e.g. when Rocket updates his build).
In practical terms, odexing will make no negative difference to your experience. In fact, there are two advantages: 1 you will have lots more space in the system (not that you need it) and 2 boot time is a little faster
Anyway, it's up to you
Updated with more blue button presses gone green. Notification icons changed also.

Thank u mister!!!
If i unzip and copy all of ur image in to my framework.apk, system.apk... will it works? I realy love green and this not work on rocketrom
No, unfortunately it won't... but I will make one for you
I'll upload it later today.
EDIT: Uploaded... see the OP. Note, I haven't tested it as I am not running the Rocket ROM, but it should work. I see that his framework-res.apk has a different structure than stock (and it is also bloody massive compared to stock) but all should be good. Take a backup just in case.
If it doesn't work let me know and I will see what I can do.
Hi!!Share my file for Data Connection in the Quick Menu
Thanks Faby, I will check it out now
EDIT:
That is great, thank you.
I will just sort out the graphics (marked with the red arrows) and re-upload the mod later.
Thanks again.

good to see you here, have you finally bought the note ?
Hi to you too! Keeping well I hope.
Yes, I've got one although I am a Windows Phone 7 fella now. I use an HTC Titan as my main device.
I like the Note's screen size, you can't beat it, but I am frustrated with Android. I'm also bitterly disappointed with ICS. I got rid of my Galaxy Nexus after 24 hours
Perfect on rocket rom O
Thanks for the update.
Great mod, thank you for it. Is it any chance to make it display correctly on a 240DPI? That would mean the notification toggles without the aditional text.
Yes, but I am unable to edit any xml right now, as I can't decompile on this bloody computer at work (I can decompile but I can't recompile)... all I can do is to swap out pngs right now
Feel free to use whatever you like from the zips attached, if you can't wait...
When I get a chance at home, I will happily edit the xml, but it won't be for a few days as I have a load of issues there right now. Sorry for the wait.

Thanks for the effort. I wish I knew how to do it and to be able to edit myself the xml files to get rid of the text... but I don't. I'll try to search and see how can I do it.
Search for 'APK Manager'. You use that to decompile/compile the apk and when you have the apk decompiled, you can use 'Notepad++' to edit the xml files.
You can't edit a compiled xml file.
E.g. Decompile > Edit > Compile

info: grgsiocl's MOD was chosen for 2 reasons:
1- It's Compatible with most if not all 4.0.4 Roms out there
2- I was given permission to theme it and share it
Gonna wait for newer version of 15 Toggles MOD, maybe one with QuickShortcuts and 8 toggles with no text on'em! Hopefully soon.
If anyone wants icons from previous builds, like v3 of v2 or v1 for 4.0.4 let me know.
I'm using Miui so it might take a little longer than usual to update.

hi
How to get those 5 icons to show next to the date? I remember on 1st version of ics I installed I had 1 but with latest rrv6 I have none... is it from some app or something or is it from ur theme?
Hi jager13,
I'm using your theme on RRv6, I like every bit of the theme except the battery icon, I think it is too thin... do you think possible to make a circle batt version?
Thanks.

Thanks for updating with nice looking battery icon
I don't know what I've done previously, my 15 toggles is blue in color (think changed by one of the 15 toggles mod), now no matter how many times I flash, I could not get back the nice white toggles of yours, status bar and the few shortcut at the notification curtain got updated though...
Edit: Solved. It was the goatrip-res.apk that causes this. Delete the GoA_Tool.apk & goatrip-res.apk, reboot and the nice white toggles is back

Thanks for the circular batt version
It is really nice, but I honestly feel that the white circle can be slightly smaller so that it proportion to the rest of the icon (wifi, cell signal). Or the middle red circle to swap with the outer white circle so that the outer circle only shows while charging.

I found it very strange, the outer white circle at one time size correctly, but on the other time appears bigger than usual... you can see the differences from the screenshot.
Still have not figure out the pattern :[

Weird indeed! i'm not having this issue... Could you find out at what percentage the big icon appears? (charging or not)
From ur screenshots, it's the charging icon! Does this happen when not charging?

[MOD] W00 Status Bar Mods

Whats up dudes!!
All of these mods will be for the JellyWiz RLS's unless otherwise noted!
Thank Yous:
Biggest to Incubus26Jc for a crash course and to get me into this
JoshBeach
I will be making some mods for the ICS ROM Inc put out. (ICS I can remove the AM/PM in the clock).
So as some of you guys know me on YouTube with my reviews and stuff, well I've been messing around with some simple themeing and someday I will make a more complete theme! But for starters, I got some Status Bar Mods for you guys. Now you're wondering what makes this thread different for the other ones right? Well here's the answer. Ill post a link to a website that has "Hex Codes." These are a combination of any six numbers and letters to make a color.
Now what you do is pick what color you want the Status Bar clock to be
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Then you pick what color Expanded Notification clock and date you want (These CAN both be a different color. JELLYWIZ ONLY!)
And if you want a transparent Expanded Notifications background. Now for this I can also add any 720x1280 .PNG file. I will not make them for you, but you can post the picture you want to use and I can put it in there.
Now it's going to be a little confusing because there will be a lot of .zips in here but I will try my best to keep them easily separated and have screenshots of all of them. Hopefully someday i can learn how to use that sweet AROMA installer and i can just put every single one that I make all into one .zip and all you have to do is pick what you want from there.
Here is the website for some of the Hex Codes: http://www.chanee.com/hexcolorsw.htm
I made my own battery. Do you guys like it?
INSTALLATION:
Download your desired .zip
Place on your SD Card
Reboot into CWM or TWRP
MAKE A BACK UP!!!
Wipe Cache & Dalvik cache
Install the .zip you downloaded
Reboot
Thanks?

This is the same as the above theme (minus the big "JellyBomB" at the bottom of the pull down and I changed whatever light greys I found to white, and any color that was close to black, to solid black. Hopefully i can find out what makes the Status Bar text color so i can change it all to black and we'll have a white Status Bar with all black icons.

Well, in a perfect world I would have an all white status bar, possibly only the battery percentage or a white circle battery, and white/grey toggles. But I'm not picky.

Once I find out how to change the color of the text in the status bar then a whit one will be there man. I want the same thing.

Is there a way that we could get a simple 'verizon wireless' carrier label edit to replace the nasty little 'empty' sign in the Hybrid 10 release?
Im sure there is a way but it'll probably always say Verizon Wireless even when you don't have service. Would that be a problem for you?
Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2
I say my goal is like the rest of yours, mostly white. But in the meantime is there any way to get rid of the gap between the toggles and the jellybean stats thing with time and date?

17akota: Not in the least. I do not mind Verizon Wireless. As long as it does not say empty. That is annoying as hell. I have attempted to decompile the systemUI.apk myself, but am hopelessly lost in xml editing
EDIT: Do you need the systemUI.apk and Framework.res files from Hybrid10?

I'm trying to figure it out. One way I though would work actually took out my APS in the settings. XD
I didn't start XML editing until about a month ago. Some of the things I learned was me being curious.
I used the framework-res and SystemUI in these edits. Most of them can be done with SystemUI but the transparent notifications are in the framework-res.
