well.. the leaked 2.2's are out.
just had to mess with you all.... getting real tired of waiting for 2.2 lol.
edit: keeping the original text so people know whats up, changed title because not everyone can take a joke but would rather post rumors. cant delete the thread thus i've edited the way i have. now i'm off to go troll the support threads to resolve my daily leaked froyo issues.

No, I don't care how many posts you have next to your name.
I don't really care if someone is a 'noob' who does not really know what they are doing, everyone starts there, and I drop in occasionally to try to help out.
I care that you deliberately tried to get people's attention by setting the title to imply that official froyo had been released and then laughed at those who checked the thread.
The only person who found this funny was you, since you got to mock other members of the community.
I care that you deliberately posted something that was not constructive under the guise of being constructive.
These forums are HUGE.
There are over 14,000 users online as I write this.
If half of the people who are online right now posted something like this once per year that would be over 20 threads per day.
It would swamp all of the legitimate and semi-legitimate threads and this place would become useless.
That is why I care.

First, it is not a misleading title. The thread was for people with no experience sifting through all the jargon to be able to have a place to look for updates for their Evo; a "Glint of Hope" so to speak. Wasn't XDA originally designed to help people like that? Now it seems as though it's just a bunch of pricks like you who like to tear down anyone who tries to provide help or asks an inexperienced question. Second, there is no "us". People need to cool it, I know you're frustrated that you don't have root, but please stop taking it out on each other. This forum is worse than working for AT&T customer service!

The main problem is that your post is old news. It also doesn't belong in development because you aren't developing anything. Furthermore the subject of your post has been discussed numerous times since the tool was released. Therefore I see no point in your post, so now we are talking about ponies.

I could not care less about the comments. It's that you altered my thread which wasn't meant for senior members to even use as a reference. I have indeed seen it posted for other devices but not under Evo. I figured it would be news to some. I am sorry for making a noob post. We (most) are just having fun with you for posting it here. The ponies was nothing compared to what you could have seen from others. Don't take the lulz personally, it happens to the best of us. Just remember, a bit of common sense on XDA saves one from ponies (and/or worse).
Now that the dust has settled, you can PM a forum mod if you still want the thread deleted. Pick one: toastcfh, rolfd, or josefcrist. If you want actual discussion, you might repost this over in General or Q&A and hope for the best.

It's really flattering that someone monitors my activity so seriously, but it's not the point Just because I didn't open any thread doesn't mean that I cannot express my own point of view since we're all here on discussion board where we're supposed to discuss. I didn't write SbXLive hadn't done good job. Moreover I even gave him "thanks". I just thought it would be better to put everything in one related thread than create a new one, I had right to write it and I never insulted anybody. I said "thank you for contribution but I thought it would be better if..." I don't think it was especially rude, painful or inappropriate. And It was all between me and SbXLivE. I'm sure he doesn't need an advocate.

My last post wasn't directed to you if you didn't noticed. I don't have any problem, and you don't have to apologize me or anybody else, cos you didn't do anything wrong, but you did a really good job. He's saying that you should move to an iPhone because iPhone's are simplistic. No hassle of installing things, fixing things, typically Apple controls every aspect of your phone so no worries about download mode or any sort of things.

Um had a quick question for you when installing the driver Zadig states it as gadget serial what did i do wrong?

Thanks lumin, and actually I encountered a minor trouble. So I panicked a little but everything was fine in the end, I don't know how but the SAMSUNG USB composite device wasn't found. So I flipped through the thread and what do you know, I researched a bit and found out, that the USB ID can also determine the device.

The number on the USB ID which is "04E8 - 6601" can be your device. My phone was named "Gadget" and I was scared that my phone wasn't found but I guess it did find it.
You should put that as a tip/hint on the guide just in-case other people encounter the problem.

Not sure what your trying to get at here or if that was even directed at me. Since I've been around since the beginning of this as well I feel I have a right to respond. I just reread the entire thread and I don't find anything insulting. Some people should move on to simpler platforms like the iPhone. If you can't figure out how to do something after a Dev and two RC's tell you where to go and what to do maybe you're out of your league. As far as devs leaving it's mostly because they upgrade devices. The second biggest reason that I've seen is because of posts like this one. People get fed up with noobs not searching then asking repetitive questions. Look at any other phones forum and you will see the same thing. So your 9 of 10 idea is shoddy at best. Lastly if you don't like the way things are take your own advice and help. You came to this thread just to point out people are "Dicks" and they are the reason devs leave. That is not helpful at all. It's just more BS to wade through. I hope this gives you a different perspective on things but you'll probably just think I'm some **** forcing devs to leave. lol

I have discussed my experiences in the above thread, but I am starting this thread in the development section, because what I want to know is more relevant to this forum.
Somewhere along the way installing ISIS, I came across a message saying ISIS will not work on rooted devices. I have heard that elsewhere as well. My question is, how true is that? will it no longer work as soon as I root? even if I just root and stay stock and not change ROMs? Is there any way around that? Perhaps can you deny root access in SuperUser/SuperSU to ISIS?
I know many people are just going to say get Google Wallet instead, but believe it or not, I like ISIS better and what to keep it!
Has anyone tried getting to work on rooted or any custom ROMs?
Until now I haven't had a desperate need to root, but I'm planning on going abroad soon and I'm going to need APN access so I can continue to use my phone with a local SIM.
