I'm running insanity ii rom on a Galaxy II I9100, and have the weirdest Play store bug.
When I search for anything on playstore it won't show the results i want. If I search for facebook, anything but facebook pops up. If i search for Endomondo, anything but endomondo shows up. This makes it impossible to find and download the apps I really need. Been searching around for a while, but couldn't find anything about it. Ideas?

My tab froze while downloading some emails, restarted by itself and now the market it's gone. What can I do to get it back?

Is now shows up as "Play" or Google Play" is that icon there under applications?

I think they should have kept the original icon and Market name, you cant "play" with all the apps in the market.

I have the Samsung Galaxy S2 with Hydrog3n Mod ICS.
The problem is that when i am searching for apps on Google Play, although it states there are like 700 similar apps found when searching. Only the first 20-40 apps are shown, it seems like i'm unable to move to the "next page" of the app list.
Anyone have any idea how i can fix this because i can't seem to find anyone with a similar problem...
Oh and Google Books seems to load the list fine, it's just the apps.

Hmm , that's weird . I don't have this problem on my Samsung Galaxy S2 . You can try to reflash the rom , if it still doesn't work , reflash the google app . If it still doesn't work , clear the data of Google Play Store.
Mine has a "show all" shortcut.

Fix!
Thanks for all the replies, but the fix is simple you have to go on to setting then onto apps. Find Google Play then uninstall updates, clear cache and data.

Hey all,
Been wondering about this problem or glitch for a while. Whenever I perform a search on Google Play, scroll down, click an app, check out its details, maybe download if I like it and then press the back button to continue looking at other apps within my search criteria I am always forced at the top of the search results and have to scroll all the way down to where I left off. So basically my "place holder" in the search results get deleted, cleared or whatever you want to call it. However when I go into Google Play and go to Apps > Categories > Games > Top Free and scroll through, click on an app then press back it saves my place so I don't have to go through all the other apps that I had already viewed.
Does anyone experience this? It only happens on my personal searches and NOT when I go into categories or pretty much anything EXCEPT personal search. Maybe I am crazy but this has always happened to me even on my older SGS Captivate, on rooted and on non-rooted phones and the same results on my Skyrocket. My Google Play version is 3.4.4 running on rooted stock 2.3.5 Skyrocket.

I just cannot seem to figure this out..
I cannot get voice input to work on anything other than the S Voice program that came pre-installed on my phone.
I would like to use it when I text but the stock keyboard does not seem to have the microphone icon on it anymore. Now before you jump and say "I got this" I already know about the hold the settings icon in the lower left and choose the microphone. Only when I do it I dont get 4 icons, I only get 3 and the microphone isnt one of them.
I installed SKYVI from the Play Store and it tells me that my device does not support voice input. Well clearly it does, S Voice works so I checked all my settings but cannot get it working anyplace else. Same thing with the Swiftkey keyboard... it has a microphone icon but when pressed, nothing happens.
This is an Odin rooted stock ROM, nothing special about it at all. Anyone else ever see this before?
Does it work with Google Now? Have you tried the new Swype beta http://beta.swype.com/? This works for me but my not my keyboard of choice, messageease

I dont know what Google Now is.. didnt see any mention of it in the Play store..
I did find this out though.. a lot of these voice apps use Google's "Voice Search" app. The Play store says I have it installed but when I search my phone I dont see it. The "My Android Apps" section of the Play store also says I have it installed on my device, and also mentions its a system app of some kind. But I dont have it, and cant install it from the Play store because its "already installed". I think if I can find the APK for this program, I can probably solve my problem? Anyone have a copy or know where I can get it?

I went online and did some searches away from XDA and found out what Google Now is.. looks pretty slick..
But I also managed to fix my voice input problem. Reading about Google Now got me to thinking.. I opened Root Explorer and went in to System/Apps and there was an APK of something called VoiceSearchStub.apk .. it had a different icon than I was expecting but I went ahead and installed it. I now have a Voice Search icon installed and the voice input on the keyboard now works. But for the life of me I do not know why it was not there in the first place!

I tried searching but did not find anything related to this so apologies if I missed it. Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this or if maybe I have an issue.
I have apps that I specifically installed from Google Play store, one being Zoom, that appeared as updates that need to be done in the Galaxy store. Play store says everything is up to date. So, when checking the Galaxy store, these apps do not appear in the list of "my apps" but are on the available update list. I updated Zoom using the Galaxy Store update and it then became a Galaxy store app not a Play App.
I don't use Galaxy store for anything other than the updates to the Samsung apps. At first, I considered that this could be a Samsung specific update but I don't think that makes much sense. Is this a way that they are trying to convert use to their app store?
