nope ..if the phone went to that state after wire-trick then its not bricked ..its deep sleep state ..which happens due to too much of wire trick fails ..
the solution is (yes its TIME taking) ... remove sim, sdcard, battery and charge the phone for 6-7 hrs over power outlet ..then the phone should sprung back to life
EDIT: forgot ..for wire trick tips and solutions ..check the troubleshoot point #3 in my soff guide (link in my signature)

so i should put battery and charge?
and remove sd card ,sim?

nope remove the battery too ..and if possible charge the battery separately

ok i had removed every thing and connected it for charging.....did i do some thing wrong?
i will tell my story here...
i bought phone three months ago and done rooting at the purchased day itself and was playing with every rom...yesterday i unrooted my phone using indian RUU to gingerbread and make it S-ON again and updated to latest ICS update for india....i was planning to stay unrooted for a month cause i wanna gave it to service centre for cleaning dust. But when i see the Sebastian kernel update which gave USB OTG i fell into dream again and try root it with your method of temprooting and doing form the 5th step of this guide so i will get warranty and now after trying severel time it suddenly shows the QHSUS_DLOAD and i was sure that it was bricked and planning to go to service centre...and thanks for saying that its not bricked...
the firmaware was 3.33 is this a problem?i saw every tutorial saying 3.32?

no firmware doesnt matter ..the tutorial came when there is only 3.32 ..so it doesnt matter..the guide works with 1.2x hboots (x means any
number)
once the phone comes back to life ..check the troubleshoot point #3
basically reduce the pause time 0.5 sec tap --- 1.5 sec gap ---- 0.5 sec tap again

after charging will it switch on in temp root mode(notification only) or still in this blank state?
did i want to do dev unlocking?it will void warranty for sure?

it will be in the temp root state ..you need to do temp root remove to go back to normal working state
and its better if you do HTC-DEV unlock and follow auggie2k guide completely ..as the soff process removes the trace of unlocking on phone and HTC ppl haven't denied anyone's warranty until now ...it also makes the wire trick less painful (easier than this process)

Read that. The unlock bootloader method for S OFF will not leave the unlock token on the device & hence HTC will never know you used the unlock token.

Sending Hacked Sensation for Warranty Repair???

Hey I am running CM9 on a Canadian Bell HTC Sensation.
The Audiojack is acting up and cutting sound out of the left speaker with a little movement. I no it is not the backcover but an issue inside the jack.
I am sending it to get fixed as it is in warranty still, do I need to change the S-Off and firmware... or can I just install the Bell Stock Rom and that would be fine?? Thanks!!

Have you tried apples headphones ?? I did and it stopped also yes you need to get back to s-on completly stock its preferable you use a RUU to do so ..

Don't do it they make u buy motherboard
Brick it or son

I think if you flash radio and pull battery out its dead for ever
Sent from my Sensation 4G using xda premium
Why brick the device???????
I mean it can still be reverted back to S-on and everything and sent back in for repairs then. I mean if you intentionally hard brick it, what are you going to do if HTC finds some reason to deny your claim under warranty? I mean you will have to fix it or just have a paper weight. Cause I am sure you will just have HTC send the device back to you if hey will not cover it under warranty. So that means it will be just like it was before you sent it in and you can re S-off and flash you a custom Recovery and ROM again. Just throwing it out there.
Just brick that one during a boot loader update and it should hopefully be bricked if that's what you truly want. I would try another pair of headphones before jumping ship. Or do what the above poster said.
i am confused.... if I send it S-Off it will come back bricked??? There is nothing wrong with the phone tho... wont It still work with S off and stock Rom anyway?
If you do brick it would htc replace it with a new phone? I'd rather have a fresh phone over a used one with a few new parts.

Not saying to brick it but some times s on don't or won't work try s on first for sure

No i read a post someone sent s off and HTC charged them for a new motherboard so son of brick it don't sent s off 1 it voids warranty 2 guy was charged for board you pick

Wow this thread is wack. LOL...............
I never seen so many post telling the OP to brick their phone, just does not seem natural.
At the OP at least try this toolkit first as it has a option to re lock your bootloader. And if that does not work try then follow the steps quoted below from [Guide] to Installing S-off, Unlocking, ClockWork, Root, SuperCID & S-on thread.
STEP 5 - CHANGING BACK TO S-ON - PROCEED WITH CAUTION. ONLY DO THIS IF YOU ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO. BEWARE THERE IS A RISK OF BRICKING READ BEFORE GOING TO STEP 1.
YOU MUST Follow this correctly otherwise you could semi-brick your device (Semi bricks recovery by re-flashing RUU). If you follow it correctly YOU WILL GET S-ON SUCCESSFULLY -confirmed by other users
I cannot be held responsible if anything goes wrong but i will help in every situation. 2 unrecoverable bricks so far. 1 due to not flashing RUU
First time i did this with a custom ROM installed - semi-bricked my device (couldn't boot due to security warning as S-on doesn't work with custom roms), restored it using RUU.exe
Second time after S-off i took the following steps and successfully went back to S-ON without any problems and booted up into stock rom.
Confirmed to work by several others as well as myself
1. Follow Step 4 above to get SuperCID - Skip if you already have it
2. Restore your official stock Rom: Just click here to download an Official Rom RESTORE STOCK EVEN IF YOU JUST RESTORED IT RECENTLY OR ARE ALREADY ON STOCK ROM. This is to ensure nothing gets changed in stock for S-on to be successful
So if you are already on a stock ROM or you just went back to stock ROM, i don't care, restore the stock ROM again using the RUU.exe if you don't want to be bricked!
Connect to your phone in charging mode. click the "RUU_pyramid_*****.exe" file you downloaded and follow on screen instructions.
3. Make sure when you download the RUU. download the same or similiar RUU version as your phone came with (e.g. Tmous or EU or Asian etc). As long as you install a stock rom similiar to what you had you should be ok. FAILURE TO DO THIS MAY BRICK YOUR PHONE.
4. Switch your phone on now and let it boot for the first time and just skip through the welcome screen.
5. Go back to Step 4 - SUPERCID and go through 1 to 7 to get to the fastboot bootloader. (so just do what you did before, put adb files in local disk, adb reboot bootloader etc)
6. enter the command "fastboot oem writesecureflag 3" (Thanks Dazweeja)
7. Reboot into bootloader using "fastboot reboot-bootloader" or remove & reinsert the battery and press power on while keeping hold of volume down.
8. Bootloader should now read Pyramid PVT Ship S-ON RL.
9. Remove and reinsert the battery. Press power on as normal
You should now have S-on back and you can return your device or do whatever it is covered again under warranty.
10. IF IT DOESN'T REBOOT and bootloader says ***Security Warning**
Remove and re-insert the battery and go back into bootloader and holding Volume Down +power button select fastboot
11. Run RUU_Pyramid_***.exe to reflash stock rom. (the one u just downloaded in step 1) and then reboot. It should work now
The above method works successfully. So do not under any circumstances try this without going back to stock first using Ruu.exe. and Follow the instructions correctly if you want S-on WITHOUT problems Any doubts or questions PM me and i will get back to you and help you.

Here is what I want to know about warranty exchange
1. When sent in, if the device is bricked do they replace it with another device New/refurbished?
2. If the device is experiencing a software malfunction, do they fix the issue then return the same device back?
Cause if #2 is the case why not brick it and get a new/refurbished unit back, over one that has failed on you already.
Just want to properly understand so I can know what to expect if my device fails me at some point.

Because even if the device is hard bricked, HTC can still teardown the device and connect to the hardware with UART and JTAG. The can then find out hat state the device was in before being bricked and deny any warranty work.
Now if you experience complete hardware failed like I did with my first Sensation they can not deny your claim.

It could be just out of battery, but however unless we know what you did exactly, no one can provide you with solution. What method did you use for S Off? And how did you flash 1.27 Hboot?

For S_OFF I used revolutionary method..
My CID was 11111111
I downloaded the firmware from ARHD thread..
First time when I updated the firmware from bootloader, everything went fine..
I was getting Recovery bootloop,
So again I went to update the same firmware from bootloader,
Everything went ok expect bootloadershowed fail-puo something.
Phone became black without power, never turned on again..
Tried many ways.. no bootloader, recovery, normal boot..
Completely dead

Leave your phone for charging overnight. Then try accessing the bootloader.
Unless the phone can be booted, there is really nothing that can be done.
Try searching for the HTC Unbricking Project if you aren't able to boot.

Can this be solved by JTAG USB?
It's a DOA claim & not a warranty claim.
But if they are able to get the phone to boot and it says S Off, I think they might ask for payment for repairs although this would be against your rights.
I'm not sure about that.
But know this for sure, unless the phone boots, or they get fastboot USB working some how, there is almost no way for them to know and they are obligated to repair/replace the phone. If this is within a month of purchase, I think they have a replacement policy.
Please check the HTC india support page & contact them.

If that doesn't fix it then it could be time to replace your battery. Do you have another you can test with or are you still running on the stock one? I'm a heavy user and usually need a new battery every 9 months or so.
It's about time for me to replace my ankhor battery now as well...

I think you havea USB Brick, more common on older devices. You will have to download an RUU, Extract the ROM.zip from it...Rename to PG58IMG.zip and flash through bootloader. Someone else had a similar issue and doing the details above fixed it for him.
Run the RUU and open windows task manager, When ARUWIZARD.exe appears right click and open file location. Copy ROM.zip and paste to desktop, rename to PG58IMG.zip and flash through bootloader. At least trying this will also revert to stock for a warranty repair / replace

[Q] is my device recoverable

hi all,
i HAD a sensation running Android Revolution HD 6.8.0. and without checking properly, i installed AOKP-42-20130118.zip and gapps-jb-20121212-signed.zip. the phone won't boot or charge. i then realised this is not a sensation rom, it's a HTC ONE rom, i think!! . i've followed the HTC Unbricking Project and get "device not found...check connections" in ubuntu. phone shows up on windows as other device labeled QHSUSB_DLOAD. is my phone toast? sorry if all this sounds amateurish as im completely new to all this. thanks all.
thats some dangerous thing happened there ..if HTC UNBRICKING not doing any help ..then service center only

yes tried all of the above, several times. tried newest drivers, and 3.0.0.007, messed around with several usb cables, changed computers. device not found error every time. i think the phone is stuffed. will send it to mobiletechvideos in Texas. it's a 50 dollar repair. will be a bit more careful next time.

hi, my phone has been recovered and back working. service centre returned the phone with locked bootloader, s-off and hboot 1.29.
i'd like to get back to Android Revolution HD 6.8.0, can i just root and flash a recovery, or have i to unlock the bootloader again on htv dev? can i use the backups i made earlier on hboot 1.27?
thanks again.

you received the phone with LOCKED bootloader and SOFF ?
then before doing anything ..i would suggest you to ..check whether the phone is soff or not (I've seen 3 cases at-least where the phone showed soff (after the phone got back from service center) but its not actually soff and people bricked their phone again trying to flash stuff) ... to check soff status go to my soff guide (link in my signature)..try the controlbear soff NO HTC_DEV unlock one ..if the phone is properly soff then the controlbear says soff and exits ..otherwise your phone is not soff ..
also you cant do HTC-DEV unlock (motherboard got replaced so IMEI changed) as IMEI changed and the unlock procedure fails ..the only way is JB SOFF

hi again, thanks for the heads up. i've run controlbear and confirmed the phone is s-off. during the process it asked to install modified juopunutbear hboot, which i said no. should i have? also phone imei is same as before (no motherboard replacement) so whats my next move, i'm a little cautious as I've bricked phone already once!! thanks ganeshp.

yes install juopunutbear hboot via controlbear and if that didnt went successfully ..install patched revoultionary hboot (at the end of first post i think) from kohr-ah firmware thread present in sensation development section.
then you cna continue with custom recovery flashing and then custom rom (if you want you can backup your current stock rom too from the custom recovery before trying the new rom )

remove the battery and insert it again. plug it to the pc and run the s-off program again or do a reset in bootloader.
