[REQUEST] HTC Desire Animated Flip Clock

I know that Calkulin has ported it over to his EViO 2 v1.2a ROM, but sadly his flashable doesn't work for other ROMs. Even those of similar build.
Does anyone know of one floating aorund that works for DC v3.5? or Fresh? Or any of the other more popular ROMs being used?

There is on in the fresh post. It worked for me. Hope that helps.

i did on caulkins rom and it works great. I think u have to already have the default clock on screen before you restart.

yeah i saw it and i added it but nothing happen. ok so anybody got this working on the virus rom? it dint work on meee

It's not working for me. I flashed it and now wen I try to put my clock on screen I get a fc.... bs 1.7

Edit... actually it worked wen I left the clock on the screen then flashed it but, it only flips wen the time change and I'm not on the same.screen as the clock. And sometimes it show another time like 4:24 then flips to the current. So its not worth it

Vlug. That's how it works. To show its animation it backs off one hour and two minutes when you unlock or when you're off screen.

Glad you got it to work with Fresh 3.3. I also have 3.3 I followed the steps and nothing changed after flashing. I thought maybe I needed to delete from the home screen the clock and reselect it from the widget menu to get it to animate. Wrong, now I get nothing but force close when picking any clocks from the widget menu. I was told to flash to previous rom which is Fresh 3.2 and all is well except when you go to the widgets menu, the first 3 on the list don't have icons, they are labeled as #ff000000/#ff191919/#ff191919 respectively. If you select #2 or #3, you get a message saying problem loading. If you select #1, you get force close message stating Rosieutility has stopped unexpectedly??
What are these first 3 widgets since the don't have an icon and can they be fixed?

Thats weird its working for me. My clock is flipping away. Like others have mentioned try adding the regular sense clock first, then recovery and add the zip file. It works.

I'm using this on Myn's Warm Two Point Two and have no issues.

I just flashed the zip to my 3301 fresh Rom evo and it works fine. Mine does not seem to back up he time a couple hours then flip like crazy to the current time tho.
Edit: I take that back. It doesn't do it when I just turn the screen on but it does when I close the browser by hitting the home key. Seems like ra supposed to.

Okay Thansk and great work. If U and Sean teamed up on a Rom it would be SICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm on seans latest 4.2E 6, but never messed with themes. Do I install via cwm touch and how can I switch back to my current setup if desired?

I just flashed to his update 6 and the lockscreen clock is still original white. Did I do something wrong or is there a setting or is it not in this theme yet.

yes flash in cwm......if you want it back to seanz stock look....just reflash his "update"
will get rid of my theme without losing anything

i just dont use the stock dialer.....or sms or anything stock really.....
im running 180dpi......so anything stock sucks......i even run an aftermarket calculator

[Q] How do you get Google Now to work???

I'm brand new to the SIII, switched from a Rezound yesterday. I'm rooted, unlocked and running CleanRom. I know others have gotten Google Now to work but I'm at a loss for device specific install instruction! This is what I did and had no luck, kept getting force closes and black screens: downloaded the m7_velvet.apk to extsd....rename as 'GoogleQuickSearchBox.apk.....replace in /system/ app....change the permissions to read,write,execute/read,execute/read,execute....rebooted. Any help would be awesome!!

Download the flashable zip of your choice for the ARMv7. I recommend the online only version. Then flash it in cwm.

Dont know what post I was reading that was telling me to just install the apk, but what I was trying to install earlier was now obviously just the update apk. Works fine now, thanks!!

I just installed it today. I think it's a little silly that the back button doesn't work to exit the app. Others having issues with that?

Yes that's a common problem, but you have to remember is from jb ported back to ics. It's really good for a port!

Very true, not going to complain too much and all I had to do was drop a few files. I renamed all the other folders/files it was supposed to overwrite so all is good, didn't need to take a nandroid or anything. Pretty nifty feature to have and takes stock rooted one step closer to JB.

Just installed. Thanks , but is there a way to use the real Miui home mihome doesn't apply themes fully and could just easily keep using aokp with mihome and call it Miui.
Also how do you get rid of the annoying download with WiFi only message that appears every time downloading anything.

Working on getting MiuiHome to work... This is not just aokp with mihome over it as for the popup still trying to figure it out myself... If I find a way I will post it for you.

Thanks , I tried getting miuihome to work extracted from another jb miui installed in system apps fixed perms reboot then got f.c errors, maybe try it again in alittle. Got the pop up to quit kinda lol thru download settings.

miuihome needs some libs and xbin files to run properly. That's why you get fc's when just installing the apk..

back to the drawing board... fix did not work
If you wait for a while the included launcher will update to the latest version and themes work fine until I can figure out how to get the new launcher to work..

Thanks for this, love Miui. It's the best of all ROMs IMO. So far I get fc's when trying to change settings in the toggle menu....e.g sound to vibration. Also when making changes in the settings in general, e.g. phone ringtone.I did a full wipe and reinstalled the rom and still the same problems. Anyone else experiencing this? Any suggestions?

I am getting the same fc .....it seems to be a nice rom...eally love the graphics and the different features than what i am use to in the other roms...please fix the issues i will flash again...

So hears the deal, my wife sends me an mms message every morning. Their .GIF animation, and as much as I hate to admit it, I like to see them.
I have tried a vast variety of roms and only 2 have worked to allow me to actually view the message as a .GIF animation. Those two roms are....
1.) Beans rom
2.) Executioner rom
I tried.....
1.) Synergy
2.) Hyperdrive
3.) Luna
4.) Goodness
5.) SOA
6.) DeviantOne
I'm on a quest to find a rom that will allow me to see the .Gif animations when my wife texts me. I would stick to executioners rom but the louder volume hack and volume skip track mod aren't on there. Can anyone help me out???

I'm downloading it now, I'm going to try it tomarrow. I'm curious as to what breaks this feature...it works just fine on stock software and I'm curious as to why it works on only jelly beans and executioner rom.....

The developers of the ROM had the same issue and have already fixed it.
