This is the stock JellyBean boot animation sized for the Samsung Infuse - Works with MTD
(Yes there is already a JellyBean boot animation on xda but the x is only about a 1/2inch this is sized to be about 2inchs on the Samsung Infuse)

Just a heads up
Thanks a lot, I didn't like the CM9 boot ani too much lol this was such a nice change!
But beware for anyone who gets really paranoid like me: It will take a while to boot up the 1st time. I was absolutely convinced I was in bootloop before 4 minutes was up lol. So what I'm saying is, it works and you should let it run for 3> minutes before you come running here to say you're bricked. Saving some people some embarrassment
Thanks again, I love the glowing x lol

1: The system copies bootanimtion.zips from the /data/local folder into /system/media
2: And some people don't like to touch system folders so this is a safe alternative for them
3: This is also the standard way to instruct someone to replace there boot animation
Also how is replacing then having to change permissions simpler then just pasting and letting the system handle replacing and changing permissions?

If it is displaying the word Android while booting then for some reason it is not reading the boot animation

So I recently got hold of the S-Voice app that someone extracted from the Galaxy SIII (its somewhere on the forum but I forgot the link) , and guess what? It's not framework dependent and works perfectly on ICS on the Desire S!!
NOTE : DOES NOT WORK ON GB ROMS. ONLY WORKS ON ICS.
I tried it on CM9 and it's working just like on the SGS3 !!
Give it a spin if you want
1. DOWNLOAD S-VOICE APK

Pretty nice app. It's just a rebranded version of Vlingo, like the one on S2. The thing is, somehow, this app recognizes all of my contacts. Samsung definitely added some stuff, no app on the market can recognize Indian names Of course, it won't be as integrated into the system with other devices as the SGS3, but still, better than any other voice assistant. I like the fact that Samsung didn't integrate this into the touchwiz framework and it works with all devices, unlike HTC Sense apps. I have used Siri on my iPod touch, and i can say that this is better (then again, the mic. on the iPod sucks, so maybe it was a hardware limitation )
@enigmaamit - Thanks for the mirror, the links on the original thread are slow as hell.
PS - I installed as regular app, not system app.

Yeah I totally understand what you mean! I didn't expect this to work at all, I thought I would need special Samsung drivers. Maybe it uses Google's Voice to speech technology incorporated into it? That's why any device can use it?
It's featured on the tech websites now!
How did you get Siri on the iPod touch? I thought its just exclusive to the iPhone 4S and iPad 3?

But now, whenever I hold my power button in order to bring up the power menu, it soft reboots immediately with no prompts. So I reflashed the ROM and my power menu is now working properly. Thank you. But before I flashed the ROM and now, still, I'm having a problem with my xda app uninstalling itself multiple times.
Also, I have a file that I downloaded from my ROMs forum called jb-framework.zip. There was no explanation given as to what the file does. Could someone explain it to me please?
And finally, if someone would be kind enough to create me a mod for an extended power menu I would be grateful. Or give me information on how to do so myself. Thanks.

it would be much easier if you used a PC, but if you don't have access to one then try this:
*Edited instructions so that you won't have to use ROM Manager and have them all in one single post*
1) Root your device with this app: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1044765
2) Install 3e modded recovery as shown here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y09p-J_g_Rg
-just copy recovery file to /bin using Solid Explorer or ES File Explorer (both free).. skip the ROM Manager part.
3) Install cwm by using method 1 here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1107881
from this point, you should be ready to flash custom roms through recovery. I would recommend jumping from versions one at a time (froyo -> GB -> ICS) just to avoid any errors.
Be aware that flashing ICS will leave you with a rainbow recovery since you won't have gingerbread bootloaders, which can only be flashed from download mode.
Hope I was able to help you! PM if you have any doubts
I advise to look at the Super ISET page by our own bigjoe as opposed to using ROM Manager. This is due to the fact that ROM manager bricks infuses a lot.

Did you already do step 1? There's where you root your phone. Without root you don't have write access to /bin which explains the error when you try to paste.

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using xda app-developers app
That's bad news :/ well that means you are gonna need to find a Pc to root it and then you can move on with the rest.
If you do get access to a Pc, consider using Odin which would allow you to jump to a GB + rooted + cwm + gb bootloaders all in one flash.. that would save you some time and get rid of rainbows if you move on to ICS

Give CM 7.2 a Jellybean facelift. Big thanks to xda's bhupatib http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=34925010#post34925010for hooking up the [APP] JBMakeOver Patcher for CM7 and the Ice10 theme. I'm running this on the 010113 CM 7.2 nightly, but YRMV and if you break it, I'm not liable. Wipe, Flash PROFIT. The Ice10.apk is a theme...select it with theme chooser. BIG WORD UP to devs past and present for keeping this awesome device alive. My screen shots are with 200 dpi, so, it won't look exactly the same.

No, not at all. Try it out and enjoy. I notice the 'p' in profiles is cut off in the power options menu...idk why though. So it's not perfect..but it's a start.
Wow this looks incredible! The only reason I kept going back to JB was cuz of the cosmetics, but this has JB beat. Thanks again! Can't wait to release my next build with this!! I will be sure to give thanks and link back

thanks man. but really, it was all bhupatib and his [APP] JBMakeOver Patcher for CM7 and the Ice10 theme. I just pulled some .apk's from a CM build and let the app do it's thing. It does look dope though.

Right, I pulled the .apks from system/app and system/framework and put them in their respective folder within the app and ran it as if it were the "official" build (selection 1 I think) it ran it through and output the .zips I included for download. The Ice10.apk is a theme that you can install and then select in the theme chooser.

Did you sign the apk as mentioned here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=36570945&postcount=59
I am getting in a boot loop when integrating in to a ROM. If I flash after I set up it works, but I want to bake these in. If not then I can do it when I wake up.

I didn't, but it seems that you may have to to bake it in, I am running my own Kang'ed Rom that I just flash to at will...I back up, I flash and if it works I keep it...sorry I can't be of more help. On a related note, the MOD looks great at 200 dpi and you may want to consider changing that too. I have a fully functioning playstore and the 200 dpi. MONEY! ~Bill
This is exactly what I was looking for. I flashed this and ran into a boot loop issue. I'm using Kendall's JellyBread rom. I tried to do a fresh install of the rom and flashed the patcher right after and still got the boot loop. I'm no dev so I think I will relax until one of these talented individuals bake this mod into their roms. Big thanks for bringing this over to OG Evo!
Looks good bro! :good:

The apk's are not signed I think so it causes a bootloop on a fresh install. You will need to flash the rom, set it up, reboot to recovery, wipe caches then flash this mod. I am currently working on getting this working from a fresh boot. But I have to go to work right now and my laptop crapped out a while back so I cannot work on this while at work.

Signing an apk or zip is essential prior to releasing anything. there is a plethora of options you have.

Well it is actually the patcher that is used for this. It decompiles the apk's and then compiles them again with the modified xml files but it does not appear to sign it. So as far as using the patcher as it should be used, Bill did that. Now we need to take that output file attached in the OP and zip each apk in there. Then bam. If you can do that for me since I am at work, that would be great! That way I can test it to kill time here.

jlmancusoTemporary Issues.....We have a couple of things that haven't been resolved as of yet with this port on our DoubleShot but I DO have the answers....the methods.....and the knowledge on how to fix these. Right now I am just working on the time and attaining the ability...so bear with me. This is just TOO fine a ROM to sit on any longer since these things do NOT keep this one from having DD Status. (IMO) That being said, those things are:
*Software KB doesn't pop up unless the Hardware KB is disabled first in "Language & Inputs"
FIXED!
*Front button & Keyboards backlights don't work YET but they will very soon with a fix to be posted.
FIXED!
*Data (phone connection) doesn't come on automatically so you will have to do that manually by going into Settings/Data Usage/More... tap on Mobile Networks & then tap on Network Operators. That will take you to the next screen where you will just select "Choose Automatically" and BANG. You're hooked up now. Easy Peezy!
IN PROCESS!
*Lastly....the port's customized KB was giving me fits & in the process of figuring out what it was I got in a hurry & hastily uploaded the ROM to my cloud without replacing it with a working one. DUUUH!!! I can't reupload large files from home so just go to the Market & pick out one yourself for JB 4.1.2. (make sure it's for 4.1.2 in your search!)
FIXED!
Please Note that the items listed above that are marked "Fixed" have ALL been rolled into the new download below. All that's required to get those fixes is to format ONLY "system" in recovery & flash the new download over the top of your installed 4Kornerz. The front buttons wouldn't take the hack I had so I added a few very useful apps. One of them being to bring the front buttons to life. Any of the added software included may be deleted if you don't want it thru the included "Root Cleaner".
Please take the time to visit Diablo67's ORIGINAL THREAD HERE and read up on the history & progress of this ROM as it started out as GingerBread & I personally found it to be very interesting.

Without doubt, one of the most unique ROMs I've run. I love it myself. And Thank You.
I don't see why not as far as a request goes. Especially from someone that's already experienced some of the EVO ROMs. Just make sure it isn't a sense ROM. I've got alot of learning to do before I'm anywhere near ready for those. LOL
P.S. You're going to find this more stable & quicker on the DoubleShot.

for sure recommend getting true s-off, but there are still other ways you can flash this. many say using a TWRP RECOVERY w/ dumblock works. never tried myself as all my htc devices are s-off, but hey its worth a shot!
best practice is to flash a recovery from fastboot, but you cant now, so use a TERMINAL EMULATOR
download image, rename recovery.img, put on root of sd card, open terminal
su
flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery.img
reboot recovery

Xda says post denied when I tried to thanks so thanks. I thought about getting s-off as all my devices had s-off but I'm not comfortable with the wire trick Hmmmmm flash via terminal emulater. This method do I flash the img first via terminal then flash rom? I guess I would since flashing rom first probably wouldn't work. Never thought of that ill give it a try

Actually its just the twrp recovery that is flashed through terminal. If you flash the twrp with dumblock it can pull the kernel from the ROM and flash it for you making fastboot flashing the kernel obsolete for s-on folks

Ok I've been reading the dumblock instructions and I'm confused how to flash right to recovery? It backs up the kernel of the rom your on? Or the rom you're going to flash I'm recovery mode?

I would assume the rom you are flashing or it would be pointless, can't say for sure as I've never had the need to use it. Just try it out, can't hurt anything... so long as you make a nandroid first of course

Yeah, it's odd but I've always had trouble downloading directly to my phone too.
It let me download directly via chrome, but I was having problems too every other way. This thing is snappy! Unique and quick. Thanks! And the touch screen keyboard is the best I've used on this phone by far. One issue seems to be data, for me. Even when I go in and select it, it don't always come on. It did after a reboot. Here's what I've gotta do to make it work: go into mobile networks, network operators, and let it tell me no networks are available, then push search networks, which wil give me a negative response, then auto networks, same no. Then mobile pops up. Had to uninstall then reinstall winamp because it wasn't working neither. I did full clean wipe soff let it boot for a while before touching. Just giving a heads up on any issues. Thanks

Yeah, I really like this ROM myself because it IS so different....and really smooth too. And I just happened to try out that keyboard in the process of selecting one & liked it so well I just HAD to include it.
I'm very pleased that you like it so well!
Flashed it before the update, and somehow there i had no software keyboard at all, so i flashed the CM9 again...BUT i kept the launcher xD
This launcher is just different from the others, still fast and i kinda loved it from the beginning
Will flash the updated version somewhen next week (also got the download issue...only worked with firefox on the PC, ob my phone i downloaded a 2mb file...a bit small for a whole ROM^^)
