Not sure if I'm posting in the correct place I'm attempting to Flash the Synergy Rom and with CWM it doesnt see my Ext SD Card when i'm in recovery. So I went ahead and installed the zip to the main and I'm able to install it from there. Is there something that I'm missing?

CWM will only see fat32 formatted ext sd cards.
If you got a large card it is most likely formatted with ExFat which is not compatible with any custom recovery.

After booting into CWM recovery, I tried to flash a rom but it was deleted off of my externel SD drive (Because I didn't know format /system includes it). Anyway, what's weird is that I was still able to boot to recovery because my CWM files were on the Externel SD card along with my backups. I confirmed this by trying to boot into CWM Recovery after taking out the Ext. SD card; did not work. Then I put my SD card into my computer via an SD card adapter and it said my Externel SD card had 7,789MB/7,789 MB free. Can someone explain this phenomenon? Thank you!~
P.S. The Rom is good to go now, I'm just curious as to where the hell my CWM files went.

How did you flash it? What were the steps you made?

I used the NVflash volume down and power. I formated and wiped everything possible. When I took the Ext. SD card out and put the EB froyo rom on it via my computer. Tried to boot into recovery to no avail; phone was bricked. put the ext sd card back in, was able to boot into recovery with cwm and the EB rom was there and so I installed it.
Which recovery image did you originally flash and what method did you use to flash it?
the one everyone's been telling me to. oneclickrecovery or something nvflash cwm i dunno. the image was after I rooted and after I removed Nova. The next time I flashed an image was after flashing EBFroyo.

I think their point is that you probably flashed CWM to your external card, which is an option in the flasher.
In the process of upgrading ICS ROM's I think I messed up my CWM recovery (3.2.0.1)
I mistakenly formatted staging and pretty much everything else that can be formatted within the mounts and storage part of CWM.
Now recovery cannot see my Micro SDCard, it can't mount it either. Nor can I mount USB storage.
I tried installing the nvflash version of the rogue recovery, then reflashed the older 3.2.0.1 recovery from Roach to see if that would reset things, but I'm still having the same issues with not being able to access my MicroSD card.
I want to stick with this recovery as I don't like having all the various ROM files on the internal card (which is why I bought a 32GB external that I can keep all of the stuff I download from XDA).
So my current attempt is to go back to HC by using the revolver NVFlash, which I am hoping fixes my recovery also.
EDIT: this didn't resolve things for me either!! Argh! Still can't mount the MicroSD card.
If it doesn't, can anyone offer suggestions?

Thanks...but for some reason my TF can't mount the MicroSD (external) anymore, whether it's Roach 3.2.0.1 or Team Rogue.
I've nvflashed back to revolver 3.11 HC, and the SD card shows up fine in the ROM, but not in recovery.
Something has gone wrong and I am not sure how to resolve.
I wonder if putting the device completely back to stock (unrooted also) would help?
I would try and format your sd card again on a PC, try sd formatter

Just copy the content of the micro sd card to a pc, format and copy it back.
My CWM is pointed to my external SD card, so I can't install new ROMs, etc. How do I get CMW to point to the internal SD card when I boot into recovery? Thanks.
So my g2x wasnt mounting my INTERNAL sd memory in CWM so then I reflashed it to the internal nandroid CWM with oneclick tool NOW I can acually mount it on USB and I formatted the internal to FAT32 on my computer there are NO files on it and no ROM is loaded on the phone. I still cannot mount the SD in CWM. Im using CWM 4.0.1 Internal SD nandroid support. PLEASE ive been looking all over.

Use oneclickflasher to flash clockwordmod touch. Install a rom, and format the internal sd. Try seeing if it recognized under cwm touch (remember, when you hit install zip in cwm touch click the option use internal memory)
I advise using clockwork 5.0.2.0. That's the most stable and actually for our phones and not a port.
There have been issues with certain kernels with other recoveries and it's better to be safe than sorry.
I am unable to mount the external SDcard with CWM 6.0.2.7 or any earlier versions. As a result I cannot backup to or restore from the external SDcard. If I boot into CM10.1 the card mounts OK & I can read & write files to it. The same happens if I try a different SDcard. Any ideas what's going on?

Hi,
I have a P3110 with CWM6.0.2.7. I had the same problem. I simply formated my micro-SD card with the tablet, and now I can backup to and restore from my micro-SD card. (I found this somewhere in the forum by searching.)

Thanks for the reply, I had also searched the forum & google but did not find a solution. I cannot mount the SD card in CWM to format it and there doesn't seem to be a way to format it from CM10.1.

Try erasing everything on the m-sd card. Put it in you tablet. Then go to settings>storage>micro sd. and select the option to format it.

CM 10.1 doesn't appear to have this option under Storage settings
Could the reason for CWM not mounting the SD card be that CM10 has different mount points from the stock ROM for the SD card?
Mystery solved! I tried CWM formatting the SD card in my P5100 which has no problems doing CWM backups to external SD cards - and it would not mount. I then dug out a Samsung branded microSD card, stuck it in the P3110 and it worked first time! It's now happily backing up to the external SD. The 2 cards that didn't work were generic and Sandisk. Thanks for the suggestions.
