Not that I enjoyed having it around, I'm just a little concerned as to why it's not there. I did both the SQL/AnyCut tricks, flashed the Wifi Toggle mod, than gave Synergy than shot. I restored my stock recovery but it was acting nutty so I flashed this stock ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1755386) with Odin and everything seems normal aside from the Wifi Notification in the task bar. I'm a little confused as to why everything didn't go directly back to stock.

So I'm using the ultimate honey comb theme which is amazing, only trouble I seen to have is that when I power off I'm getting the alien exit animation, which was the last theme I tried out. I have reflashed a dozen times, wiped everything, even turned lagfix off rebooted the turned it back on and rebooted. Any ideas?

Did you reflash the rom? If so, and that didn't work, you'll likely have to odin back to stock to get it to go away. Unless the rom or theme replaces the file it will not change. I'm sure you could find the stock animation somewhere and replace the file also.

That did it, thank you

Flashed my new G2X this morning, backed up my Stock build, and started playing with ROMs. Each time I installed a ROM, I could not get data. Everytime I restored my stock build, data resumed. This must be an easy fix.
Tried CM7.2 Stable, Hellfire Phoenix, and Eaglesblood.
What did I miss? TIA.
Check your APN. Hit restore default and it'll load them.

Brilliant. Thanks much. Figured it was something easy.
So, I've noticed that after a given reboot, the APN's will disappear. Restore to default does nothing, but if I reboot again they will come back. Is this common?
Reboot it happened to me

Never had a problem with APNs going missing myself. I'm on Wind in Canada though so there's the off chance that makes a slight difference. Doubtful though.
So today when I got home from work I went to turn on my Wi-Fi and its not working. I hit the toggle and it turns white but nothing. When I go to settings it shows Wi-Fi off and if I try and slide the switch to on it won't stay. I am on jelly beans build 6 on the stock kernel. Wi-Fi was working yesterday just not today. Any idea what might be wrong?

Did you try to reboot? If that don't work I'd try to wipe cache, wipe dalvik, and fix permissions.

I had that problem and did a battery pull and reset my router.
I did the reboot wipe cache, dalvic and fix permissions with no luck. And my router is good, the Wi-Fi it won't even turn on, on my phone the switch automatically switches back to the off position. I'll try the battery pull. Also I flashed the Rom originally with lean kearnal then later on flashed the stock kernal on Beans post, don't know if that has anything to do with it. Thanks for your help though.

That's definitely the problem! I don't think it flashes necessary Wi-Fi files when you install it separately. Someone else had this problem in Beans thread recently. Flash Leankernel again and you'll have Wi-Fi OR if you disliked Leankernel, reflash the rom and choose the stock kernel.

Hi all,
I recently upgraded my Note 2 to Android 4.3 using the SN10 ROM, and everything went smoothly with the exception that I haven't been able get root back (flashing the SuperSU 1.8 update does nothing) and Wi-Fi (the modem zip did nothing when I flashed it from TWRP, and the instructions say to load a file with Odin, except Odin cannot load .img files!)
Any help would be appreciated. I'm a computer engineer and I've been using custom ROMs since my HTC iPAQ PDA so I'm not a noob when it comes to this things.
TIA,
Erik

Forgot to add that I already tried clearing caches, etc... with no success. Wi-Fi toggle goes to on and then flips itself back off instantly.

Ok so reinstalled SuperSU from the Play store, turns out that one was a PEBKAC error. Any leads on how I can fix my WiFi though? Thanks!!!

Bump? Anyone? I would rather ask directly in the ROM's thread but I have to get past the 10 post limit first.

Also, every time I reboot the screen shows "Android is upgrading". Makes me wonder if I need to do something to make it finish before my WiFi will work again?
