Power off animation - Samsung Mesmerize

So I'm using the ultimate honey comb theme which is amazing, only trouble I seen to have is that when I power off I'm getting the alien exit animation, which was the last theme I tried out. I have reflashed a dozen times, wiped everything, even turned lagfix off rebooted the turned it back on and rebooted. Any ideas?

Did you reflash the rom? If so, and that didn't work, you'll likely have to odin back to stock to get it to go away. Unless the rom or theme replaces the file it will not change. I'm sure you could find the stock animation somewhere and replace the file also.

That did it, thank you

Screen close animation gone?

I rooted my phone last week and installed the bionix rom and trinity kernel and then flashed cm7 a couple days later and then yesterday I went back to the stock rom backup I had made before installing any roms. Now my screen close animation is gone. Any ideas on how I can get it back?

Go into recovery and disable voodoo, then go to the market and download busybox and install v1.17.1

Fast reboots, tmobile jingle, then phone starts to lockscreen

The title of this thread is what keeps happening to me at least once after I flash an update or a theme on my phone. Its been happening since I've used the icbinb ki series. It usually will happen once or twice after a titanium backup restore. Or turning on the phone after calibrating the battery. Someone please give me some feedback. No i'm not a noob as you can see been here for a long while, I read and follow directions to the t. So I'm very confused with this! It happens when I'm on uv stock kernel default settings or oc.
Your framework is crashing. That's what's causing the soft reboot. Usually due to a theme not meant for the build you are using.

I only use themes labeled for the rom i'm on. it happens after fresh ROM fashes as well... I read somewhere about soft bootloaders for 2.3.5. Are they different than the 2.3.4 bootloaders from kg4? I'm thinking this must have something to do with it. It started happening after first flashing 2.3.5. I haven't odined of the releases.

I used to get issues similar to that when my ext 4 partition was incorrect. Maybe look there.

I never considered that, thanks. I'll give the ext4 converter a flash and see.

Well flashing the ext4 converter then a fresh flash of my rom did the trick

Something is wrong

Ok, about a week or two ago I flashed the last miui ROM for the captivate, and today all it does is stay on the miui screen when you first turn on the phone, it's like it's stuck there. I tried to reinstall and it still stays in that first screen.
What could be wrong?
Should I do a complete wipe and start over?

Try wiping dalvik cache. If no go, then you may have to do a factory reset.
Tried that and no go...looks as if I will have to do a reset

Miui is dead. Download slimICS, get into recovery and flash it After changing it around a little (launcher, theme), you'll be glad you did

Actually it's alive and well, for the vibrant thanks to jrong1 and 360 productions, there is a decoder for this to bring it over to the captivate it's in the thread.

Phone reboots/hangs on splash screen

I really would appreciate some input on this.. I was on NexusMod ICS for about two days before I woke up one morning to find that my phone had rebooted and was stuck at the splash screen. I tried pulling the battery and powering it on but got the same result, so I tried to get into CWM and couldn't. It would boot to recovery but not long enough to actually do anything, so I ODIN'd stock rom and CWM then flashed AOKP build 38 instead of NexusMod. Everything was fine for a few days but this morning I woke up to my phone stuck on the splash screen again, only this time when I pulled the battery and powered it on, it booted up fine, but my wallpaper had changed (weird).. So I really don't have a clue why this would happen, but I'd appreciate some help, and TIA!

Yes, that's a good idea, but wouldn't you think it would be an app that's causing it since it happened on two very different roms? Or am I way off in my thinking?

Had this issue with some roms when I was using cwm. Once I updated to cwm touch didn't have an issue.
