Wifi & Bluetooth error - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

I tried rooting the phone with a couple of one click methods available on the xda. it failed and also my wifi was not working. I did all the tricks i.e. factory reset, wlan test, flight mode but the wifi did not work. Then i updated my phone thru kies and now it is running android 4.0.4 but still wifi shows turning on error, bluetooth too is not working. Pls Help.

The wifi issue I have noticed on every device that had any version of ics below 4.0.5. Bluetooth seemed to have issues at first when coming from an upgrade, so I had to delete my devices and re-pair. It corrected any issues I had with Bluetooth.

[Q] WiFi problem in flight mode after ICS upgrade

Dear all,
I've a problem regarding WiFi and flight/airplane mode after upgrade to ICS with my HTC Sensation (S-Off & Root).
The problem is that WiFi turns automatically on at night when the phone is switched into airplane mode with active WiFi.
I tried the original HTC Stock ROM (3.32.401.5) and ARHD 6.5.2 / .3 including a lot of factory resets and several WiFi sleep policies, but nothing works.
Another user (BerntBalchen) at androidforums.com has the same problem (cannot post ext. link here).
Any ideas? Is there a logging tool to see which process is switching on WiFi?
Thanks,
Chris
Yes you can run what is called a logcat with ADB. The only problem with that is you would have to have your device connected via USB all night with a the logcat running to see what is turning on your WiFi.
To learn about ADB and how to set it up just Google ADB or do a a couple of searches here on XDA there is plenty of how to guides out there. Most importantly though you will have to download the Android SDK from the Android Open Source Project. I think there is even a guide on the AOSP website.

Have you tried connecting to different routers? Does the connection to that router work on other devices?

Click to collapse
of course as i said i have tried everything it is not router problem other devices can connect normally to many routers i have tried..
i am also having a similar problem, even with the stock rom, Wifi would see connections, try to connect, then show "Disconnected"
this is to many different wifi points at my workplace.
same at home, where i have an open connection.
i remember this happened after i installed busybox - when i uninstalled it, this problem vanished - but only for a few days.
when it started happening again, i installed Wifi manager app and used that to connect.
now it started working again.
yesterday i flashed cm11 Android 4.4.4 based rom and again not able to connect to wifi - either through the main wifi settings or through the wifi manager app.
still looking for a solution
i uninstalled busybox, but still no luck.
now i am afraid my rom might malfunction, as it might need busybox somewhere in the background.
earlier on stock rom i was able to boot into safe mode, and then my wifi could connect.
here when i boot into safe mode, system ui crashes, so no way to check if wifi might work.
moved to Mokee 4.4 , still no wifi.
moved to 4.2.2 aokp redefined v3, still no wifi, even in safe mode.
at least the rom is very smooth.
I couldnt get my wifi working,
but this reverse tethering windows tool helped me.

those who can live with updating while connected to USB, can try this.

Wifi Disabled Android 7.0

I recently flashed AOSP Extended ROM onto my phone and after a few days I was not able to connect o any wifi networks and when I tried to connect my home wifi it just said Saved or Disabled.
better ask in aospext thread.
try reflashing the rom
You can also try restarting your router. It's worked for me a few times even though other devices were working.

[Help] WiFi connected - but no internet access

Iam having Osprey device running AOKP nougat. Iam facing WiFi problems for few days. I tried different ROMs, and I found the problem is not with any custom ROMs. My WiFi gets connected to router but I cannot access the Internet.
I tried restarting my phone several times, tried restarting the router, tried changing static IP. Still no hope. After a few clean flash with "Wiped internal storage" it gets connected but still the problem occurs time to time.
Its my only phone so please help with any solution ASAP. Thank you

Wifi Radio Unknown IP / Wifi Stopped Working

Good day team!
I've had this phone since March 7. A global Mi Note 10 Pro 8/256 variant.
The wifi suddenly stopped scanning SSID's.
Bluetooth radio is working, hotspot is working but could not be detected or scanned by other phone. I went to update to the latest 11.0.8 version for the security patch and just about a week after the update it stopped working. I can toggle wifi but it just does not scan for any result. I'm looking for someone who can help or can identify what could possibly wrong.
I have tried this step:
- reset network settings
- reset to factory settings via settings menu
- reset/wipe via stock recovery (volume + and power button)
My mi account could not detect the phone as well. When I try to Find Device - it does detect the phone as "Unknown Device". Also under my Mi Account - devices - it does not show my device registered.
Lastly, I tried the last resort to flash Eu. But mi unlock could not detect my phone even with the latest drivers.
I was wondering if this could s be just a wifi radio sotware issue since wifi can still be toggled on the status bar. If this would be a hardware problem, basically bluetooth radio wont work, right?
Please help me as I am so much incurring data usage for the past 3 weeks due to using this for work.
Please advice. I am lost of tricks.
