Bricked - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

I tried to re lock the boot-loader on my used ATT One X. I used a different Unlock_code than what was used to unlock it and now its bricked. Is there anyway around this? It boots straight to Fastboot no-matter what and I tried to flash a Stock RUU and after 5 minutes it said it was unsuccessful. Please help! Thanks!

What software version were you on previous to this?

I got it unlocked again and booted. Do you want me to screenshot the software info, because I still want to go back to stock if that is possible.

If you can get to the bootloader you are NOT bricked. Just relax, run the 1.85 or 2.20 RUU again and you will be fine.

Will Motorola know?

I am having issues with my Xoom connecting to the VZ Network and they want me to send it to Moto for repair. I am able to flash the stock .img files and relock the device, but will they be able to tell that I rooted or will I be ok if I fastboot oem lock?
If you run the SBF it will relock in and return it to stock. They should not be able to tell.

Thanks. Was actually just thinking SBF and am doing that atm. i jsut noticed when you relock it says something about a token and wasnt sure if this was something that told them I was unlocked at one time or another.

Likely just a install token or a unique device token to help with identification ect...
Ok heres an issue im having now. I have the stock 3.0 android on the device and it is unlocked but not rooted. Whenever I go to flash the SBF I flash the everest one first then after it has me reboot and passes I disconnect and reconnect the Xoom then run the VZW firmware one. It gets to the BP Passthrough and fails to switch the device to it. Someone had this issue that was in the sbf post but they uninstalled/reinstalled the drivers and it works fine. I am also, like them running Win 7 X64, and cant get it to work.

[Q] Unlock a Relocked Bootloader?

So my cousin got a one x,
we followed the 36 page guide, unlocked the rogers bootloader, then flashed the AT&T firmware 1.85, and then tried unlocking the bootloader again, but not matter what happens when he confirms the unlock token, it just turns off. then he turns it back on and it sets it up, reboots to the bootloader and it still says locked...
i've tried to help him but i have no clue as far as i know...
we've gotten a new token 3 times now as well and it hasn't worked either.
does anyone else have this problem?
can he flash back to the Rogers RUU? just for stock sakes or is he stuck on AT&T 1.85 now?
thanks guys.
EDIT:
Mod's please close, figured it out, just tried using an OLD unlock code and for some reason it worked. =\
thanks anyway, sorry for the spam.

the issue is how you boot in to fastboot. If you use adb to get there sometimes the unlock wont take. i tried 10+ times with one phone. If you power off, then hold down vol- to get to fastboot, then run the unlock command it normally will work the first time. The unlock tokens are the exact same. re downloading them and using the old one probably had nothing to do with it. Glad you are unlocked now

[Q] Updation of Unlocked AT&T HOX...is it possible to update. If so, How??

I have a unlocked At&T HOX ...i think it is network unlocked...I did it by entering a code and the phone is working fine here in India with other networks..
My Android version is 4.0.3 and software is 1.85
I came to know that there is a update for HOX with 4.0.4 and i think 2.22...
My question is..as i unlocked it...If I update my mobile to this new version..does it get blocked\bricked....what are the safety measures to be taken..please explain...
I am scared to do as I don't have good enough knowledge...
Also, if the update is succesful am i supposed to unlock it again...if so, will the existing unlock code work??
Please someone guide me...
many thanks in advance...
You should unlock your bootloader first. It sounds like you are just sim unlocked. You also won't get an OTA if you are using a different carrier so you would need to run the RUU. I have never sim unlocked a phone before, but I would guess you might have to reenter your sim unlock code again.
I mainly took the 2.20 RUU for running on AT&T network, which I think was an improvement over 1.85. Since you are not on AT&T I would recommend unlocking your bootloader, and flashing a radio that's best suited for your carrier. If you take the 2.20 RUU you won't be able to flash radios anymore.

Are you currently rooted? I would unlock your bootloader and do SuperCID before doing any updates. That way you can always root your phone.

I wouldn't recommend 2.20. Once you run the 2.20 you have to flash the boot.img for any ROM manually (so you can't use restore a backup on the go without a computer) and you can't flash radios at all. Being that he is using this phone internationally, being able to flash radios may be pretty important.

what i said.
not being able to flash boot.img in recovery is the most annoying aspect of flashing the 2.20 ruu when you are already bootloader unlocked.

No I didn't root it...I got the phone and unlock code (Seller sent both to me)...once i got it just inserted other carrier sim and unlocked the phone...apart from this I didn't do anything...it is as it is...As another friend mentioned, I think I did SIM\Network Unlock...
What is the way to root the phone....and how to unlock bootloader...???

I don't really know what to tell you. You should do some more research first. We told you already what you "should" do.
root, unlock bootloader, flash recovery, flash custom rom, if you have trouble with network try different radios. do not take an ota or ruu, i am sure you will regret it.

we said many times not to try to run the RUU, specially not that one.

Is it possible to unlock the bootloader of an XT925 that can only boot into fastmode?

My phone is boogered up so bad that it just boots into fastboot mode. I have been unsuccessful in flashing the stock ROMs. It's the Canadian version with unlocked GSM. I'm hoping that unlocking the bootloader will help me to flash it and get it working again. I have tried using the Motorola site but it says my phone cannot be unlocked.
Anyone?? Please? I have search these forums for days and cannot find the answer to my question. If it's there I'm finding it. Any help would be appreciated.
I know Rogers allows unlocking the bootloader. As I recall, you're a Fido user (which Rogers owns) right? Are you still looking for the Fido 4.1.2 SBF? I think I can track it down for you. I'm surprised Moto won't unlock the bootloader via the website. Have you tried Motoclypse (I think it's called) to try and unlock it? I guess you'll need a running ROM first.
Lemme know what you need exactly and I'll see if I can hunt it down for you.

CWG... Thank you! I've scoured a few sites that are still up and running (best one so far is motofirmware.com.) I found and downloaded this.. 9.8.2Q-8-XT925_VQL-12.2_CANADA_VANQJBLTEFRCI_P004_CFC_fb.xml but cannot flash gpt and boot partitions. I have tried editing the xml file as suggested in other posts to prevail. Is there a way I can positively identify which region my phone is? I purchased it brand new from a Canadian seller on eBay. The listing said that it was a Rogers phone but when I unlocked the GSM the key came back as being from Fido. There was no carrier specific apps on it. I'm at the most current level of firmware on it by the carrier as of a few weeks ago.
I got the bootloader unlocked!!!! I was originally entering the code into Motorola's website through Chrome and something told me to try it through Firefox.... success!!

Awesome, so you're good to go or still need a SBF for Fido?

Put the phone in fastboot mode, then run `fastboot flashing unlock` from a PC. If it says unlocking not allowed, you're out of luck, it's a brick now. Never lock your phone without being 100% stock on both slots

No idea. I've never relocked unless I am completely stock and take at least one ota first to make sure, along with full factory resets before and after updating.
There are others here that claim they where able to unlock again and save their phones though so maybe it's possible.
