Hello Xda!
I've recently gotten the ParanoidAndroid ROM (forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1672198) and it's great! I have one minor problem and that is the absence of the CRT animation. Is it not in the ROM and if not, will it be added later on?

Hi, it's best to ask this question on the Rom developers site, as they know the information about their particular Rom. Go to android development, find your Rom , then that community will be able to answer questions regarding that particular Rom. I hope this helps. I've never used that Rom , so I cannot answer your question, however on the developers site that whole community uses that Rom so they know all about it. Best wishes .

CRT is not possible ..as some one said earlier ..HTC has messed up something which prevents the CRT .there is a dirty CRT animation in sensation dev section ..search there ..it has some issues so ..do read the OP

Is this just for the ParanoidAndroid ROM? I have a few other ROMs that have the CRT animation. They might the dirty CRT animation but, I don't know.

Ohh..I don't know about yesterday's thread , i was googling around and found the link and searched on xda couldn't find it here so posted . Android Revolution HD never heard of it . i just know one custom rom thats Virtuous Unity . Actually i a noob at all this . And you are welcome .

If you are noob, where you get this rom?
Even frm the thread that mike released with RUU and later removed it, the thread is pretty much there from Google search. And the links are still there so its no difficult to get the links. I have original links that Mike gave out in that thread but don't think I should share them here, for respect of Mike.

I already mentioned i got it from Google.
Now i just had a look at Mike's thread (Recognised Developer) i guess
and there wasn't any link there . I asked my friend who is much into ROMs he told he uploaded links of Multiupload . But i got links of filesonic and filefat .So there is a possibility that these aren't same as that of mike's or maybe same. But who has the time to download the file and reupload it to other servers.

So your custom 3.06.405.1 ROM is allowed, but the stock 3.06.405.1 ROM isn't allowed ?

yeah, doesn't make sense at all...
If it's to prevent HTC blocks all the leaks and stuff like that, the custom rom from mike doesn't help anything...
The Rom is leaked, no way people can stop it.

mike my man, take it easy, your are my new fav DHD developers and i will be sticking with your roms for now, why? because your work is always organised and properly categorized just like you keep every feature in a separate patch, just look at your OP layout for pete sake, its a work of art not to mention the surprises
but comeon aren't you letting this issue out of hand a little? i mean there has always been leaks like this from HTC in fact most of their updates are leaked before hand
didn't you promise to provide the source once your done hard working on your rom?

It's not about credits, it's about test-release which is not about to be published apart of custom ROMs. You do guys what you want to do, I just warned you.
And definetly don't put my name in the first post, I don't want troubles.

I am looking for HTC SENSTION ROM with very limited features.
1) To be able to mak/receive calls
2) Check email and surf internet.
nothing else.
No sense what so ever.
Kill everything apart from the above list.
Can someone pelase help me find a such a ROM - Sensation.

IT doesn't actually belong in this forum but Cyanogen mod may be what you're looking for. Give it a shot and you'll see
Edit: You can do more stuff than what you listed above but I can assure you that it's one of the most stable and lightest ROMs out there

I must say that I love that video. I've watched it over and over.
just download CyanogenMod 9 and strip it down yourself using Titanium Backup...probably your best bet

Recently I use one of the roms and decided to redo it slightly by adding or subtracting the appropriate applications, improving a few mistakes, etc.
Can I publish this ROM for all forum members, and if so, whether the new subject, or as a post? Of course, adding the original authors ROM.
Rather than asking everyone, try asking the one who originally developed the ROM. We don't care what happens, as long as he/she is OK with it

Hey Guys ! So I just bought my Blaze 4G with Cyanogen 9 installed, and the battery life is extremely short and sometimes the touch just becomes unresponsive. So Ive got two questions:
Im pretty much a noob here, and apparently there are soo many ROMs available. Can someone tell me about the most stable ROM available. something with a long battery life ? (regardless of the android version)
I know there are two ways to flash your phone, either through ODIN or through CWM. will both work for me knowing that I have Cyanogen already installed ?
Hint: Im using it over GSM here.

I just installed/updated to Paranoid Android 254v4 through Goomanager and it works Great. Check out the thread. Thomas is a really good Dev. My only warning is that it is Jelly Bean 4.1 so if you dont like that set up dont use it. Otherwise have fun!!! P.s. use Nofrills CPU and change settings to conservetive and i/o to noop. Limit your background apps to 3.
Cyanogen Mod 10 is very stable and has great performance which can even be better with the LightningZap Kernel it has a full jelly bean experience. Please post in general section.

you can't port roms like this..the hardware configurations must be similar of the phones...
and then there are more things like resolution...search for a tut on xda!
So I must take a CM10 from a device that has this rom and also has same resolution and hardware configuration, no?

Resolution is not a must.. But it is preferable to port from phone of same resolution!

Sorry for asking so many questions but I want to start deving and porting.. for example, my phone has only GingerBread 2.3.6 , if I find a CM10 rom of another phone that has the same hardware and resution, can I port that rom ? This is what I didn't understand from many tutorials I have seen..
