i cant exactly even get to download mode or even turn on the phone, and i didnt know i hadnt looked to see before installing the pit

Thank you! Ill try it but is it confirmed it works on hard brick?

Judging by what you did and said I would say take a couple steps back, do a few searches, read a few threads, then try to fix things. Reading that whole thread that theROMinator linked you and following the steps to a T would have saved you bricking your phone. And learning to read things like that in the future will likely save you a lot of future headaches and expenses.

Phone won't turn on after S-On!!!!!

Oh God!!!
I was trying to S-ON on my and on the last step the screen went black and my phone won't power on again!!!
Help!!
Is it bricked!?!?!

plug it in your pc,if it says something like QHSUSB_DLOAD then it's bricked,but guys here on xda are working on a tutorial to fix this kind of brick so just be patient

The PC does not detect my phone
Is it a complete hardware failure? Maybe if the warranty people cannot turn it out they won't find out that its been modified (aka S-OFF)??

Plug battery out, back in and power on?

I found my answer. If you can be helpful as I experiment to point to threads so I don't brick my phone. Appreciate it.

Thanks Super Commando. I have BMM, SU, Root Explorer & DL'd NUMA. However I can't get it to boot. Working on it. Any suggestions from anyone. Education is priceless especially on this forum.

Thanks Super Commando for pointing out the obvious link to me. I am now running IC S 4.04 & NUMA as System3. This is cool. No brick here.

Tried that and it stopped at :deamon started successfully and did nothing after that. what do I need to do to get to root?.

it takes a minute or two at that part, did you ensure that you had usb debugging on while you had it?

Yes usb debugging is on.

rooter
You can download androot and run it, or you could use unrevoked.

I did it and i do not know how but i got past the locked bootloader and rooted with busybox. and now have superuser permissions. I am very happy
after trying for days and nights and reading and trying again. so now it is working like i want it. so to all who helped me a big thank you. and to Google and Verizon a big FU. I rooted my VS840PP3 AND I AM BLOCKING THOSE ANNOYING ADS!!!!!!!!!!!. and will continue to erase and dismantle all the bull**** put on the phone. I will set it up to my liking not yours.

That's true, its been pretty hazy lately

Of course it didnt work, he said it was for the Moto X, Your phone is Hard Bricked and there is no way to recover it unless you send it in for Jtag Repairs.

If every mobile phone MPRG8960.hex 8960_msimage.mbn are not the same, I can not find VS870 use, this can be derived from well inside the right hand？
