I was trying to S-ON on my and on the last step the screen went black and my phone won't power on again!!!
Help!!
Is it bricked!?!?!
plug it in your pc,if it says something like QHSUSB_DLOAD then it's bricked,but guys here on xda are working on a tutorial to fix this kind of brick so just be patient

The PC does not detect my phone
Is it a complete hardware failure? Maybe if the warranty people cannot turn it out they won't find out that its been modified (aka S-OFF)??
Plug battery out, back in and power on?

first download mode is accessed by <down volume + home button + Power button>.
if you don't mind, can you elaborate how you ended up having bricked your phone so as to give as an idea and other options for the solution of your problem? also, there is another thread which can help you, just refer to the solutions posted by other members here. here you go:

So, let me guess.. You flashed a firmware from i9000, right?
If so, try the USB Jig, if it doesn't work, search for anybody offering JTAG services in your area, or take it to the samsung service center, no other options really.. you messed the bootloader up.
A usb JIG shouldn't help, maybe a JTAG will.

Alright buddy looks like you got yourself a soft brick there, no need to panic. As long as you can go in download mode you can go back to stock. Which device do you have?

It works in windows, mac, linux. Seriously if you need the phone so bad read the link. It will ask for your hand and hold it the entire time.
I unlocked bootloader and now my xperia L doesn't boot up. It's stuck in the color flying boot animation forever.
I used sony website to get the key and fastboot.
What can I do?
That's normal and nothing to fear
Flash latest ftf and it will be fine

Yes, right. As for now theres no fully working cm,aospa, pa and etc and just for sure the latest FM is 15.3.A.1.12.

Restrain yourself from giving BAD ADVICE to people at least until you learn little bit about how the procedure works. OP issue has been solved a long time ago. Now do yourself a favor, learn proper English and then go out on the net and read a lot about flashing, and modding.

Tried that and it stopped at :deamon started successfully and did nothing after that. what do I need to do to get to root?.

it takes a minute or two at that part, did you ensure that you had usb debugging on while you had it?

Yes usb debugging is on.

You can download androot and run it, or you could use unrevoked.

I did it and i do not know how but i got past the locked bootloader and rooted with busybox. and now have superuser permissions. I am very happy
after trying for days and nights and reading and trying again. so now it is working like i want it. so to all who helped me a big thank you. and to Google and Verizon a big FU. I rooted my VS840PP3 AND I AM BLOCKING THOSE ANNOYING ADS!!!!!!!!!!!. and will continue to erase and dismantle all the bull**** put on the phone. I will set it up to my liking not yours.

That's true, its been pretty hazy lately

Of course it didnt work, he said it was for the Moto X, Your phone is Hard Bricked and there is no way to recover it unless you send it in for Jtag Repairs.

If every mobile phone MPRG8960.hex 8960_msimage.mbn are not the same, I can not find VS870 use, this can be derived from well inside the right hand？
