Stuck in black screen - HTC Inspire 4G

I flashed roms constantly so im aware of the process. So i was going to flash blissdroid since i was bored of aospx ics. Did the routine of wiping everything of partition and dalvik cache and installed it. Reboot it and waited for more than 15 mins (phone was extremely hot) and still stuck on the htc screen so i decided to remove battery and try to get to 4ext. Press the power button and down(hoping it would go to 4extrecovery) and it booted the ace kit. Try to scroll down with the volume to go to recovery but it wouldt let me scroll. After some seconds its started automatically looking for the pd98img and realized some process until it finish. Tried to power it up again and the htc screen appears, then the screen goes black. I dont really know what went wrong when flashing. How can i go to 4xt? Any suggestions?
EDIT: Deleted the pd98img and it let me select recovery. Closed it.

[Q] G2x stuck in "S/W Upgrade" screen after NVflasher One Click

My phone is currently sitting with a "S/W upgrade" screen after a series of stupid events. I flashed recovery using ROM Manager before I had read that it fake flashed. I rebooted into recovery and installed CM7 nightly. Rebooted and it's stuck in a boot loop. So I finally see all the warnings against that so I figure I need to get a real recovery so I use the awesome guide from TGA_Gunnman. I follow all the instructions and it appears from the log on my PC that the CM recovery flashed successfully. I pull the cord, reinsert my battery and my phone just sits in the S/W upgrade screen. It's been like that for 30 minutes now.
What do I do?
I thought I'd done something wrong with my G2x because that happened to me too. Remove your battery and USB. Then insert your battery again. When you turn it on, make sure to hold both the power button and the volume down button until you see text that says android. If you, like me, thought you just had to hold the volume down and tap the power button (like my Nexus One), that might be your issue.

just disconnect usb, and go to recovery Power+vol down...
.....and congrats !
yep, I thought I bricked it too.. When you were done at the green screen where it said press any button, thats where you press whatever you want and then unplug the cord. Then, put the battery back in and hold down vol then power, don't let go until "android" pops up.. You did it man, just missing your last step..
Moved to proper forum
I can get to the Recovery screen, but I cant select any of the options....volume lets me scroll, but cant find anything to select any of the options....kinda new at this
power button to 'action' your selection... at least it works for me.

The "S/W upgrade" stays on, that's normal. See if your terminal window has completed whatever stuff it is doing. If you get a completed message, you are good to go and can safely pull out the USB chord even if your phone still says "S/W upgrade". Put back your battery and hold Power+Vol DOWN button and see if you get into cmw recovery.
so im trying to fix my friends phone and this is weird..
im able to go to cwm, wipe it all and flash a new rom.. it flashess successfully but when i reboot it goes back to the s/w update screen..it happens with any rom i flash.. its been sitting there for a while.. how long should i wait?
Once you flash the ROM you shouldn't be getting that screen...Does your friend has the G2x or 2x and which ROM did you flash?
Sounds like you screwed up the boot image. Go into APX mode again and reflash the recovery package making sure it completes, you hit a key to close the terminal window, and you hold the volume buttons the entire time. Then go into recovery and factory reset and clear the Dalvik cache. Then if you still get the S/W update screen you are going to need to go to the thread about fixing bricked phones and use the KDZ method to reflash the entire GB OTA package. There is also a new method to reinstall the entire OTA package using NVFlash but you have to hold the volume buttons down for about ten to fifteen minutes while everything flashes.

[Q] How long should first boot take on an HTC G2?

OK, I just installed the G0ku_HeroDeck ROM on my G2 but when I try to boot it up it just seems to hang forever. How long is too long? When do I know something is wrong?
Also, I was surprised at how quickly the install of the new ROM was. It only seemed to take a few seconds, does that mean something went wrong?
After a fresh install it takes up to 1 minute (maybe a little longer) if you've done a complete wipe and/or cleared cache. After first boot it will boot up faster.
If it doesn't boot up at all, turn off the device (rip the battery out if you can't turn it off with the power button), then press and hold the volume down button and power it on. Enter Recovery and flash the ROM again. If it still doesn't work then restore the previous ROM (if you did a backup before starting). If you didn't back it up then go to "mount/storage" (or something like that), mount SD card, transfer a new ROM and flash it.

Phone wont boot

I seem to be having an issue with my phone. I'm still a noob, so bare with me. I used the HTC Dev tool to unlock my phone. Then I used the flashboot boot boot.img command to try to install a rom. The phone reset on its own and booted to the splash screen and then a black screen. I let it sit for 5 mins and then pulled the battery and put it back in and booted into bootloader and then into recovery. Tried to run cwm but it wouldn't find the rom to flash. Took the card out it put it into another phone and it said it was bad. Got a new card and tried from beginning but not getting any farther. In CMW I can select any of the options and it just goes to to the circle screen. Wont wipe the phone, wont reboot the phone, nothing. If I try to let it boot without going into the bootloader I get the splash screen and then the black screen. Thanks in advance for your help!
Not sure what version of CWM you are using. But normally if you see the circle with the hat, you are pushing the wrong button on the phone to select the items. If I remember it's either the power button or camera button.
Thanks!

Wow, don't I feel dumb! Yeah, I was hitting the power button to select and it is the trackpad that I should have been pressing. Thanks for the help!

Stuck boot looping/blank Clockwork screen

Here's the deal. I recently used the ace hack kit to root my HTC Inspire 4g. I downloaded CyanogenMod 7 for HTC Inspire 4G, put the zip on my phone and installed the zip from the sdcard via "apply update from sdcard".
At this point, it boot loops. When I volume up + power, it vibrates three times and does nothing (screen goes blank and the orange LED in the upper left corner turns on). If I plug my phone in to the computer and take out the battery, it allows me to cycle through ClockworkMod Recovery. However, the screen goes blank if I stop scrolling with the volume up and down, and if I use the power button to select something, it resets and starts boot looping again.

The main thing throwing me off is the inability to use Clockwork. Every time I press the power button to select a menu option, it selects the option, goes to the sub menu for about half a second then reboots to the splash screen (thus starting the boot looping process all over again).
I was say reflash cwm using fastboot, if such ann option exists. But I serioulsy wouldn't follow my advice right now, I haven't had my coffee yet. The other is flasing a rooted ruu, same as above, if it exists.

HELP. Bootloop and I can't get into Recovery

Ok, so here's the thing. I flashed this theme, but it's not working and my phone won't boot. So I try to boot recovery, only I can't seem to get it. I hold down vol up + power till it reboots, then hold down vol down to get into recovery. Except it just keeps trying to boot, and doesn't load recovery. Anything I can do?
This is scaring me a lot. Need help. Thanks.
Ok, figured it out. The bootloop would go to a black screen when it froze. To get to recovery, I needed to switch to vol down 1 second before the HTC logo popped up. I used a timer to time myself properly and pulled it off.
In recovery, wiped data, restoring nandroid. Should be back up and running shortly.
I had a bootloop while on CleanRom 1.2 but since no one else reported it I just assumed that it was something I did. Probably was too.
