Application Security/Java questions (2nd thread) - Android Software/Hacking General [Developers Only]

While I'm not new to the Android scene, I've just recently begun learning coding and development. I have a small background in Java development but obviously never Android. In any case, my first project was developing some code for a friend that would prevent the .apk from being pulled through ADB and then decompiled and uploaded to warez file hosting sites. I believe I have most of my code correct as the compiled .apk will check against the market, but won't notify the user if it's an illegal install. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Please reply to this thread, or contact me via GTalk at [email protected]. Thanks!

Need Programmer for Custom Biz App

First let me say Moderators, I could not find where requests for programming work to be done was prohibited, if it is, please delete this thread.
2nd - If you need to move this thread, please feel free to do so.
I have written a custom web application for a specific business, that allows schedule tracking of jobs, allow comments to flow between staff members and clients, and pictures to be uploaded.
This application is just starting to take off, but I am getting a huge request for dedicated applications for the mobile devices. (WM, Blackberry, Palm).
I am a web developer and know nothing about programming for the devices, so I am needing to find someone with great knowledge of this type of work, and can knock out the project in a timely manner, and be able to provide support and upgrades as I under the web application.
I will be looking to roll out one application at a time, and go from there. If you would interested in this project please PM me with some form of contact info.
I will be requiring all source code be provided and you must speak perfect english, as this can effect the output of the application

App Devs: Mangler Needs help with their Open Source Ventrilo App for Android

Mangler (the ventrilo client for linux) its self is open source, and their work so far on the android version is also open source.
They've gotten their libraries and major dependencies compiled in the NDK, but they don't have any java programmers to write the app. If you or anyone you know could help out please feel free to do so.
I don't know much java myself. However I would love to have Ventrilo on my Android phone.
SVN for android version here: http://svn.mangler.org/mangler/branches/android/
IRC is irc.freenode.net in #mangler you can usually catch the mangler devs there.
Glad to see someone bring this forward to our awesome devs! I was looking all over for a ventrilo client for Android as I play WoW on my laptop and it all chokes when I try to use ventrilo as well.
I volunteer myself for any and all testing purposes as I can't contribute codewise
Will be watching this thread closely...
I'd be interested in this too. It has 'cool factor' written all over it. In a geeky kinda way of course.
Useless post...helps to read everything..sorry
Thread moved to Android General since you are simply requesting something and it isn't something that is device specific.

Ah, I actually posted another thread in that forum here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=679717&highlight=ventrilo
So you might want to remove it

[Q] LUA to Java

Hi, all
I have to post it here since new users are not allowed to post in DEV section.
If moderators could move the thread where it belongs, that'd be great!
I payed a developer from India to make me a game. After delaying the project for several months, blackmail I finally got my sources and they were in freaking LUA.
My question: is there an easy way to transform LUA code into Android native Java?
Which is probably no.
Second question: how can I compile the source? I tried to install LUA plugin for Eclipse and it doesn't want to open files.. says 'ERROR' maybe I installed the wrong version. I'm still working on that.
Corona, MoSync both want me to pay for the license.
Thanks
1) No
2) LUA isn't compiled.
Thanks.
Um. 'Compile' is a wrong word, more like: how to build a signed .apk for the market without paying more money?
You write a LUA script runner app.

Maybe some could make the app for me, I would pay 45 euros/dollars over paypal. If someone is interest please send an email to:
