Stuck at the moment - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

Hey all,
So I've had my SGS3 for 2 weeks now. I was going to try and do the google wallet hack to enable it on our network. I saw a thread on a forum saying that people have used market enabler to do this. So I dowloaded/installed the market enabler app, then switched the phone to think it was t mobile to install google wallet. it didnt work so I just uninstalled the app and figured I would give editing the build.prop a try later.
About 20 minutes pass, and there was a notification that said something along the lines of " the sim card inserted isn't a verizon sim card" SO I figured " Oh okay, go back to market enabler and switch it back to verizon." That didn't work to clear the noticication. So Then I figured maybe I had to reboot it, and I did that, only to be stuck in some sort of bootloop? When I press the power button to turn on It says Samsung with the lock unlocked, (because I have CWM installed) and then it goes to the next page that says Samsung Galaxy S3. After that, the screen goes black, no spash screen or anything. The rom I had was Synergy 1.2 and it had the stock international boot animation. So I figured boot into recovery and wipe data/cache/dalvik cache and then restore one of my nandroids. I tried both nandroids and they both said MD5 sum does not match, and this is where I am left off at. I can't do anything right now because I'm at work, So I have to wait until I'm off to tinker with it. My true question is Can I flash the stock rom back through odin to bring it back to life? Also Is it possible to just flash the stock rooted image right now, instead of flashing stock back, and then flashing stock rooted to save myself a step?
Thanks for reading guys.

Did you change the build.prop prior to reboot? That sounds like what happens if you change it and don't have the permissions correct. With the device off, does holding vol down + home + power take you into download mode? If so then odin should get you back with the stock verizon image. If you have a rom zip on the internal or external sdcard, you may be able to try reflashing it. Maybe someone has an alternative while your waiting though.

Thanks a lot man. I was sitting there thinking of what I could possibly do, and boom it hit me. I reflashed my from and I am good to go! I did not change the build.prop at all. I was going to wait until I got home to do that. But she's back up and running, thanks for the info.

TB not turning on after rooting!

Hello, I moved to TB from Fascinate.
I just rooted my TB and tried to change fonts (systems/fonts, DroidSans DroidSansFallback DroidSans-Bold files)
after I changed everything, I turned off the phone and am trying to turn it back on.
After the sound comes on, it froze showing clouds on the screen.
What should I do? Is there any Odin stock files something like that?
I see the posts on development forum with ADB things but the thing is I can turn my phone back on.
Please help!!!
Give it time to turn on. The clouds freeze. It's part of the boot animation. If that doesn't work hold the sound button down and power on and go into recovery and wipe data or flash a different rom thru cwm

first hold down power and vol down, then once you get into the bootloader, hit vol down till your highlighting recovery, hit power, now your in the recovery. Download a new rom and flash that.
Im havinbg the same problem. i was rooted with S-off and had clockwork installed and i tried to flash a new rom on and after i did that i tried to boot and it stuck on the cloud for 45 mins. afte that i tried again and again to no avail. Finally i went back into clockwork and did a factory wipe, bt it STILL sit on the clouds. Am i screwed?
Try a different rom and do a data & dvlik wipe before you flash...
About to try a different rom now. I also tried to chage my kernel with clockwork. Could that do anything different?
OKay so i got it to load with DAS BAMF. Lightning rom didnt work sadly =( im hoping this reboots good lol

[Q] I Think I KIlled MY G2X HELP!!

I was Removing Tmobiles built in Apps when I acidently deleted the telephony apk. I rebooted to see if the the devide would restore the file then it began to boot loop. i pulled the battery like three times then i tried to power on using both volume buttons and power and the device never turned back on. Is there a way to fix it? Please anyone who knows something can you help?
Try resetting your device. Turn it off then turn it on and keep the volume down button pressed.
The phone wont turn on now
Take out battery, hold both volume buttons down and plug usb cable in

About 47 minutes, until your screen rapidly starts changing colors.
first off wrong section.
not sure if it works with this works with this phone but you can try oden.
you will have to find a oden flashable rom and boot your phone into download mode.
or you could put your phone in a microwave for 10 secs and take it back to the store and tell them it wont work. they will replace it as long as the water meters arent red.
Look at the post for one click installing clockwork mod and do that. Then find the post with the stock nandroid (or eagleblood) download it either put the files on sd via a reader or boot to recovery and use adb push to get the files on the sd card.
Then wipe the data and cache and apply the new rom. That should work. Don't use Odin as that's only for Samsung phones.

Do you have clockwork recovery installed via nvflash? If not, you need to do that, then download the stock rooted backed that is posted in the development thread...Once you do that, download SuperOneClick and unroot your phone, you should not be messing with this stuff if you don't know what your're doing...After that, check out the stickies in the G2x forums and read the rules about what should and should not be posted in the each of the forums.
sorry about the miss posting never posted before and thanks for the help.
still no success i cant get the phone to stay in recovery to flash nvflash im pressing power and down volume but the phone reboots and begins to boot loop again
You don't go into recovery to flash nvflash. You hold down the volume buttons while plugging it into usb with the battery removed. Search for the thread on one click nvflash.

thanks gonna try now
Do this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1056847

[Q] I am stupid and forgot to unlock bootloader before flashing a CM10 nightly. Help?

As the title says, I am really stupid and flashed a ROM before unlocking my bootloader. I had just rooted and that step completely crossed my mind.
When I try to boot, I get a screen that says: "System software not authorized by Verizon Wireless has been found on your phone. Please turn off your phone and go to the nearest Verizon Wireless store for help."
I have flashed CM10 before, but I recently cracked the screen on my phone and had it replaced with a new one. I have tried booting into recovery mode, which I is Volume up, home, and power I believe, I see a screen that says Samsung and has small blue text on the top left of the screen that says: "Recovery Booting..." but then it goes back to the error screen. I am unsure what to do at this point besides go to a Verizon store which I do not want to do. Thank you for your time helping.
section 6 of my guide will bring your device back.
droidstyles guide is awsome and will fix ya right up.

Same Thing
I did the same thing awhile back. It was my first rom ever flashing i had to go into download mode and then re-flash it with odin. Then it booted right up and i was able to unlock boot and reflash and it worked perfectly.

[Q] Stuck in bootloop on LiquidSmooth

A few details before I start
I am on Galaxy S3 i535 from Verizon, was running CleanROM 5.6 for a few hours after coming from Codename Android that I was using for a few days(I've been going crazy with trying roms lately.)
I flashed LiquidSmooth 2.0 with CWM (never have used odin)
On all of these flashes before i did so I wiped system/factory reset, wiped cache and dalvik cache, and formatted system, cache, and data.
I had just finished flashing Liquid Smooth about an hour ago and was installing a few things with titanium back up. everything up until this point was going fine, got all my apps instaIlled and ready to go, and I head into the settings and try to turn on a few things and edit some settings in the Liquidsmooth settings.
Now my phone is stuck in a bootloop and I'm not sure what to do. I have tried power/volume down, power/home/volume up, power/home/volume down, and nothing will get it to reboot. I dont know whether or not it is safe to take out the battery and start from there, so if that is the route I should take, please let me know.
I have no experience with odin, but I can most definitely look that up so I wont need help there. Just some help on whether or not I should take out the battery or do something else. I just don't want to brick it in any way if that is avoidable:fingers-crossed :fingers-crossed:
Thanks to whoever can help me!
Edit:
I used the search a little better this time and saw people say pull battery on similar cases, and I did that, and I'm still stuck in bootloop. (It seems like in most of the threads I found pulling the battery was a given so people didnt mention it, but I needed to know for sure.) So I am still in the bootloop and am just going to boot into download mode and go from there.
Alright I was able to odin to stock, and now im back to square one.
Not sure how to delete threads :S

Yeah, we noticed you only read the first few lines. :what:
If you are gonna try to help at least read the whole OP.
And to manually boot recovery its: Volume up+home+power.
Not

OP you are missing the point here. You have to take the battery out and put it back in before going to recovery. Once you have done that try vol-up/home/ power at the same time. Once samsung logog appears look at the top left if you see words release. it will boot to recovery. You can take it from there.

Can I recover my data? "System software not authorized by Verizon"

So I guess i followed an outdated tutorial! My phone ever since the ota update months ago destroyed my battery life felt sluggish and constant reboots. Today i followed a tutorial to install rom manager to install clockwork mod recovery so I can delete dalvik cache. On reboot i get "System software not authorized by Verizon Wireless has been found on your phone.”
So now after I realized that the bootloader is locked,
1) Is there a way I can get my phone to work again.
2) But MOST importantly, did I completely screw up and lost any of my pictures saved on the phone?
I'm posting here because everything I look up online is either outdated or I am afraid to break things more. So I would like someone to help me.
Thanks.
P.S. Im pretty sure I had the newest OTA which is 4.4 i think. And the phone was Rooted with towelroot. I can also boot into downloading mode.
Update: Ok so I pressed down + home + power to download mode but this time I pressed Down to cancel and the phone booted to my homescreen. I'm kind of scared to never ever restart my phone. Is my data safe? why booting this way work?
Thank you.

On the newest kk OTA you can't run a custom recovery other than safestrap. Unsure if your data is safe at this point since you've created a soft brick
Sent from my Nexus 5
well I don't think this is a soft brick since now I can boot like normal. If I shut off the phone and restart it it boots fine. The only thing now is if i press home +power +up i get that message. So not sure how to delete the recovery and undo what i did.

You will have to Odin back to stock that's basically your only choice. And if it was a hard brick your phone wouldn't work at all

Thanks bro. I'll leave it like this until I have time to do a backup. I need a new phone anyways because of the battery drain. Is there a method or app you recommend to do a back up

If you can get into recovery and make a backup it's worth a shot. And yea I understand what you mean about battery drain. I love my S3 and I will probably never get rid of it. Try to get into recovery if you can and if not we will go from there
