Connect MTP device via USB? - Asus Transformer TF700

Is it possible to connect an MTP device via USB (such as an unrooted Galaxy Nexus), either through the dock or USB kit, and access the files on that device? I've done some research, and yet to find a way to do this.

as far as I tested it's not possible to connect an android phone via mtp to the infinity
with camera mode the phone was recognized but it was not possible to import pictures from camera.
i tried with my infinitiy .26 and tried to connect samsung galaxy note cm10 preview
so maybe it's because of the early build on the note

[Q] Still stuck

I still can not get my TF101 to connect to my windows 7 64bit computer. I have downloaded asus sync, naked drivers, I have installed the stock update from asus causing me to lose root. I can transfer files using filezilla but would really like to be able to connect through usb. I think the tablet itself is missing something. Right before I tried the stock asus update when I was in CWM it said it could not mount E: I think and that something was not there but I can not remember. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank You.
Model number TF101
Android version 4.0.3
GPS version V6.9.12
Wi-Fi version 6.1.1.24
Bluetooth version V8.30
Touch panel version MXT-1.1 build-1
Kernel Version 2.6.39.4 [email protected] #1
Build number IML74k.US_epad-9.2.1.27-20120615
Do you still have CWM installed?
Also, is your tablet recognized if you enable USB Debugging?
No I am stock no root

Seeing as how this is the 2nd thread you have on basically the same topic (much better to keep all the replies in one IMO), I still do not see where you confirmed or denied specifically if your tablet can be seen by windows when USB Debugging mode is enabled and the tablet is booted up.
I do apologize for a second posting. I also did not see that question. No my pc does not see it on or off or apx

When it is on, booted up and has USB debugging checked in settings.
This is different from APX mode.

[Q] USB Device Not Recognized [Unrooted]

Hello everyone,
My pc won't recognize my samsung galaxy note 10.1 GT-N8000 *4.1.2 Android version* and also on Kies

-Kies installed
PLEASE HELP!, I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR REPLIES
BTW, here's the screenies ↓
Try a different usb cable... Sometimes it can be that...
Otherwise re-download the usb drivers and try that.. They can be found in dev section, a quick search will find them...
The problem is that u are using a hub port on your pc or a deffective one try another one and if you have another data cable to ensure that the problem from the pc and not the tablet

If changing the cable/port did not work try the following:
1. Bring up dial pad
2. Dial *#7284#
3. Select Qualcomm USB settings
4. Make sure MTP is selected, if it isnt, select it and click ok button
5. Reboot Phone
I have the same problem

Thanks for your reply but the problem with that solution is that my tf300t won't show up in device manager.. I'm starting to think I have a faulty charger port. Or faulty USB cable.
Try to see if you can connect it to a different computer, If you can, you can eliminate the bad port or cable as possibilities.

Hi, i've got the exact same problem.
My computer won't recognize the TF300T. If i plug it with the dock (usb or charger to usb) = nothing. Just the tablet = nothing. I've installed Asus PC Sync but yeah, doesn't work. Nothing show up in the windows device manager. Any clues ?
(i've tried on 2 computers, with the original cable, with a charger to usb adaptater + usb to usb cable, and with a usb to usb connected to the dock)
same here - nothing happens when plugging tablet into pc. tried 4 different laptops - nothing

[Q] Any possibility to use the One as a drive via USB (Not MTP)

Hi,
I want to connect my phone to my Eeepad Transformer TF101 via USB using the original cable.
The One is recognized via PTP as a camera...
But not as a drive/storage via MTP.
Is there any way (root, other Rom, other kernel,...) to get the phone recognized as a drive? ...also in Windows... I think it would work at the TF101 then also.
I'm using stock CM11S XNPH30O, no root, no unlock.
Thanks in advance.
Not possible for a long time. I believe since ICS.
Try https://sites.google.com/site/devwom/usb-sharer#TOC-Description its awesome (didnt really test on 1+1)

NEW TF700T not connecting to computer via USB - OLD one works fine

I just bought a new unopened TF700T 64 GB version on Ebay, but I've had the TF700T 32 GB for several years..
My old 32 GB TF700T is rooted and is running the latest KatKiss, and is able to connect to my computer via the USB port just fine, and my computer recognizes it in the device manager right away.
* * * * * * PROBLEM
However, when I attempt to connect the new one to my PC using the data cable, I get NO error message at all because there is NO connectivity via USB. It charges just fine when it is on the dock and connected to the wall outlet. So I don't really know what the problem is.
I did manage to unlock and root the new device however by downloading some tools directly from the web onto the device itself when I'm connected to Wifi. I was hoping that after rooting and installing the latest KatKiss that it would solve the problem, but it still isn't recognized by any computer I plug it in.
I have tried updating the drivers, I've also tried to switch the old keyboard docks but still no success. My Windows 10 device refuses to recognize it when it's connect to any of the USB ports. There is no connectivity at all.
Please help! There must be some solution to this problem.
Did you reboot your Win10 machine in between connecting the old and the new tablet?
