The credit card sized Raspberry Pi computer that sells for $25 now has a working version of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich thanks to a port.
The development community has been working towards getting Android on the Raspberry Pi with CyanogenMod 7.2 and CyanogenMod 9, but this is by far the most usable.
This port even supports hardware-accelerated graphics, but unfortunately sound isn’t yet available.
This device is quite limited so this is pretty impressive. The Raspberry Pi sports a 700MHz single-core processor and only 256MB of RAM. Hit the break for a video showcasing it in action ..

Impressive they managed it but surely not practical as say a basic pc or tv stick.
But considering some thought it could never happen, nice work

HTC cranks out Android handsets like candy corn – and we love that. The only downside to this, however, is that each new leak has us drooling before the last leak even has time to become a real product.
Our salivary glands were just warming up for the HTC Incredible and the HTC Legend, but now we’ve got the HTC Scorpion (possibly codenamed “Olympian”) to dream about. According to the very-latest of leaks, this thing might pack a scorchingly fast 1.5 Ghz processor and the as-of-yet unreleased Android v2.2.
The emphasis in that last sentence, though, should be placed on “might”. We’re by no means 100% convinced this thing exists. Someone hooked the guys over at AndroidSpin up with what is reportedly a build file from this “Scorpion” device. The catch here, is that this leak is purely text – no images, no video, and thus, nothing tough to fake.

Get Android 2.2 Froyo on the iPhone 3G
Yes, you heard right!
Don’t know what to do with your soon to be retired iPhone 3G? Just install Android 2.2 aka Froyo on it. Sure it’s currently totally useless and sluggish (and according to those who tried it; causes the device to run extremely hot after a few minutes, but here are the installation instructions
Take a look at the Tegra roadmap.

Unless nvidia starts demonstrating end-user driver support, I'll not be able to invest in their future offerings. The Tegra line shows amazing numbers in their advertising spin, but their drivers, proprietary ones, suck.
ARM and its ilk is great for arm-style things, but I'm *really* looking forward to the new AMD SOC processors and to a lesser extent the next generation of intel ULV ones. [rant]We're looking to use these tablets as general purpose computing platforms, but keep running face-first into poorly supported hardware with the primary processing systems buried under wretched drivers by a company that will only really speak with another huge company. Good grief, nvidia won't even acknowledge that 2.3 exists yet. With the x86-based processors you can run anything you want...Want android, run x86. Want linux, run any distro. Want Windows, okey doke.[/rant]
Their stock option really went up since the arrival of the tegra line... don't you think that they Will adapt if they want to keep it going this way. I mean, if it is such a poor fit they'll drop back behind like in the previous years. Maybe they are betting on honeycomb... and what of the xoom? Isn't it 2.3 on a tegra 2?

The Taiwanese manufacturer today released an official teaser for the device-within-a-device, boasting its display, processor, economical benefits, and impressive battery life.
For those who may have missed the specs sprinkled throughout the promo, here's what we know so far:
Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor at 1.5GHz
4.3" Super AMOLED qHD display (the tablet features a 10.1" display, no word on resolution)
8MP rear shooter (featuring a 5-element f/2.2 lens)
Stylus/Headset accessory
Over 14,000mAh battery power between the pad, phone, and dock
Overall, the PadFone is still looking like a pretty intriguing device. Despite the fact that the video seems to have hit a speed-bump in editing (the entire sequence repeats itself sans audio), it still provides viewers with an official piece of media to confirm that the device is still coming. The release of an official promo could also mean that we're due for more information any time now. Source : AndroidPolice
At any rate, it will be interesting to see whether ASUS' unquestionably novel device can pull off the concept of a phone-powered tablet without coming off as merely a gimmick.
I just want to know a price on this. And what service providers the phone part is compatible with.

I have a eye for alienware new m18 laptop(still wondering on dual amd r9 or dual gtx 880m) but have recently seen brands like sager and clevo. Now I im really in a candy shop with a sweet tooth. I wont be looking to upgrade in the next 5 years after purchase but I love customization and upgrades. I gladly like to hear recommendations and why.

Go ASUS or MSI for your gaming laptop (Not Alienware, they just charge more for less). The MSI GE60 2PE is a good one as it has the GTX 860M and a Core i7 with 8GB RAM
Laptop question threat on XDA ...are you can alright.... You should ask On other websites.

I decided to purchase the 2gb ram version of the zenpad S8,the 4gb ram isn't available in UK .....yet....
The 2k display is gorgeous especially when watching a 5gb MKV files like The Avenger's on it,smooth and not stuttering. 32 gig on board and a slot for a micro SD card is a great bonus .
Hardware wise is quite solid ...thin..light ,compared to my aging N7 feels premium.
Unfortunately the software is super bloated and I was forced to disable and unistall as much as I could to make the tablet a bit more lively.
For the £200 price I think is a great buy ,the hardware as a lot of potential, I like the new type c charging port a lot,no NFC isn't a big deal in my opinion.
If the xda ROMs developers jumps on it with creating custom ROMs this tablet should fly .
And let not forget the front facing speakers.... They sound great.
Any questions please be free to ask.

So,I have a Tab S 8.4 and I wanted to know if I should get it or not. I'll get the 4GB one though, how is the battery life and gaming performance of your tablet? I use my Tablet way more than phone. Thank you

Games run good ,battery last me all day between the usual browsing... Social network apps....and video playing ..,
Like I said a lot of bloatware that need to be disabled, only running 5.0 so battery could be better if on a custom stock lollipop rom or marshmallows.
Let's hope Source Code gets released.
