Pls help : CWM cannot wipe data partition - Samsung Galaxy Fit GT 5670

Hello everyone,
I installed custom ROM for the first time on my Galaxy fit , flashed with CM9 ICS for FIT with CWM 5.0.2.
Installed CWM by Odin.
It worked fine. Then I tried Creed v4 ROM and wiped cache and data from CWM.
The ROM was giving problems so I wanted to revert back to CM9 so flashed again with CM9 but this time
when I tried to wipe data , it freezed on formatting data.
I tried to revert to stock Rom with Odin and this is now happening with the Stock 2.3.4 ROM too.
CWM cannot wipe data , Is my partition corrupted?
I cannot wipe data partition and All Roms freeze on Boot animation.
Pls help , I am tired of flashing again and again...
Is there any other way to do this.
I am using Stock XWKQ2 for 5670 on samsdroid.com

not every stock from writes the data partition try a Odin flashable rom which writes /data partition may resolve the problem

Thanks for the reply ,
I have used two stock roms for the phone and flash them from Odin.
S5670XWKQ2.tar
I'll use DDKT2 and come back.
Is there any way to repair the data partition?

single tar will not work use the four package file but still its not 100% sure to help

I have flashed custom roms many times but now I my phone stucks on bootloader and cwm recovery says something about

re-flash a new rom and then do wipe data and dalvik cache
Already tried it. As i said no rom is working like kryllios 9, vivek's rom, I even tried original jpu and jp6 and I have wiped everything and even flashed roms without microsd card.
flash ddjg6 and dn flash any rom...and wipe data factory reset
if this works ....dont forget to say thanks
Same problem here, can anyone help
flash stock eclair rom of your country via odin....and then update your rom via kies.....this will replace all old files ...... now you may flash custom rom
TO solve this problem i flashed a stock rom that was not compiled as one package via odin. Thanks everyone.

[q] [help]phone can not opening

I was using parandroid 2.53 then ı wanted to update to 2.54 but I could not do.So ı wanted to go back stock rom as DDLF2..I flashed this rom with odin therefore phone didnt open just play animayion of samsung..I knew I shuld wipe dat and wipe cache..I wiped the phone but still cant open..when formating there is a fail as 'E:format_volume: rfs format failed on dev/block/stl10' I think my problem abaout this but I dont know what ı should do..please help me what should I do??(I tried XXLE4 but nothing chanced)
Better flash from kpe+pit and then DDLF2.
That problem probably because of your current phone partition is ext4, and you are trying to flash rfs partition inside.
PS. flash with pit file, your data will be gone.

[Q] Restoring to Stock ROM on GT- P3100

Hi All,
I own a Samsung Galaxy Tab2 P3100,recently I rooted it and flashed Ubuntu,it was successful but I was unhappy with what Ubuntu offers me right now.
Now,I want to switch back to the backup which I created when I was on stock.
Will this work
Factory reset --> Wipe Dalvik Cache --> Wipe Everything --> Restore to Stock ROM (Backup)
Everywhere I see here, they mention downloading the stock rom and then installing it with odin. Is it needed? Can't we just restore to a backup with wiping everything?
Please advise!!
Thanks in advance!!

Cool,Thanks for the reply.Today I couldn't wait for too long and I installed it through Odin.Next time When I install a custom ROM I would restore with a previous backup rather than downloading a ROM and installing it with Odin.

[Q] No ROMS are working

I have CWM 5.0.2.7. I want to upgrade from 2.3.6 Gingerbread to Android 4(PACMAN ROM preferred). I tried at least 50 - 75 times flashing >5 different ROMS, almost once bricked my phone... I found stable Gingerbread 2.3.6 and I am using it right now. I really want to upgrade to version 4, because I develop apps in Buzztouch and they will now support Android devices with Honeycomb or later. My question now is: how can I really upgrade to Android 4, because every ROM I flash is stuck at the first boot. Any help?
There is absolutely zero possibility of bricking your phone in flashing custom ROMs unless you do it in a wrong way (flashing other phone's ROM ). Same thing goes for bootloop. Wipe data, cache, dalvik cache and even format /system before flashing and also do wipes after flash. This way u can view a new dimension to the android world

I already knew everything you said, even more, but thanks for idea of formatting /system. Maybe that is the main problem. Thank you so much!
UPDATE! Nothing is working. I think I will give up on ROMing.
Lol which baseband are u on? Try to flash latest stock rom ie DXKT7 and then flash a custom rom.

I cannot find any with DXKT7 baseband. I am on XWKTI.
I got the same problem. Flashing from stock 2.3.6 XWKTI to any other cm 10.1 rom is not working. Clearing caches etc. does not help.
Any solution to this?
The latest rom I tried is cm-10.1-20130907-NIGHTLY-beni.zip. No luck so far.
What is wrong here?
Solved. I used the wrong CWM. beni_cwm-5_ext4_v2.tar does the trick.

The CWM you use might be a one which is not working. At least I used a CWM 5.0.2.7. But it was rfs which is not compatible with the S5670.
So install CWM beni_cwm-5_ext4_v2.tar and you will be able to install any custom rom without problem.

I am using this apk:
CF-Root-ext4-v1.3-Addon.apk from Chainfire, but it is not made for my phone.
It has options for converting ext4 to rfs and rfs to ext4, but I am scared to do that. How can I manually convert from rfs to ext4? And, will my system even boot after doing that?
Possible solution...
Hi,
I have successfully flashed cm-10.1-20130914-NIGHTLY-beni.zip using ClockWorkMod 6.0.2.7. I initially had problems getting cm 10.1 to boot, it would just stop at the cyanogenmod logo. I got this ROM to work by first flashing ╰☆╮ [ROM][CM7.2] JellyBread v5.0 | SURPRISE! UPLOAD COMPLETE! ╰☆╮. then flashing the nightly.
Good luck:fingers-crossed:.
Regards,
jemail
I wouldn't recommend installing ICS on a Galaxy Fit. The phone doesn't really stand that much of the ROM itself.. I use a rom that'll look exactly alike it, that's basically it. But I tried Lenio vQuattro. it seemed pretty nice If you really need to then try this rom. And it wouldn't be such a bad idea tp update CWM, or try another Recovery.

Good question.
I really got no answere to that question. But as far as I know there are CMW for rfs and for ext4/ext3 filesystems.
If you use the wrong CMW than the phone will hang in a boot loop after flashing. That's what I had.
So I suggest you should try different CMW. For rfs and ext4. Better to flash them with Odin. I used Odin_Multi_Downloader_v4.42.exe.
As CWM try: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=24719114&postcount=1387 or this CWM http://androidlegend.com/dl/beni_cwm-5_ext4_v2.tar
One of these should work for you.

[Q] can't reboot into recovery mode

hey guys
my first post on xda actually yesterday i updated my xgamerz v2.2 rom to xgamerz v3 using clockworkmod recovery v6.0.28 everything else worked fine except it vant reboot into recovery ... i CAN reboot in download mode but not recovery.
when i reboot into recovery the samsung galaxy sl page slowly fades away and again reboots the phone into normal mode without going to recovery ( i.e. directly loading to os )
plz help asap
for now do a clean flash from ddlf2 then upgrade v3.. your problem will get solved.. and always wipe dalvik cache and format the system when upgrading the same custom rom. if you are going to any other custom rom just do full clean flash form ddlf2.. so that the rom won't cause any problem in your day to day life..
hope this helps you.

you mean go back to gingerbread 2.3.6 then flash cm10 and then xgamerz with all user data gone
instead of doing all this , i was wondering if i could flash a recovery using nandroid manager app( it has an option to flash recovery) but iam not getting a proper download link for my firmware. . . plz guide
try this : https://googledrive.com/host/0B4xN9...3.0/kernel-cm-10-20130906-galaxysl-signed.zip . and if this didn't work then you'll need to do a clean flash. just do titanium backup of all apps and also backup all you contacts and messages. restore them when you flash v3. you'll get all your userdata and apps as it is. and no need to flash cm10 after ddlf2, just directly flash v3 after flashing ddlf2 ( v3 is based on cm10, so no need to flash that)

try this application : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cgollner.flashify if this didn't work then you'll not have any other way except clean flash. till my knowledge I think it's not possible to flash any recovery on jb ROM's due to different partitioning. i'll still suggest you to do a full app backup with titanium backup and restore it when you flash v3. happy flashing

go to xgamers v3 page ( forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2192613) and read the 3rd post which says " IMPORTANT! READ BEFORE FLASHING
THIS RELEASE!" you'll come to know what I'm trying to tell you since beginning.. most important : 1st and 5th point.
