Error status 6 - Nexus S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm trying to port the stock, rooted, deodexed ICS from Samsung Galaxy Note i717 to my Nexus S using the stock, rooted, deodexed ICS as my base. I've been working on this for the past three or four days, the first day or two I had no progress, then yesterday I got it to install but would loop back to recovery because missing sh in the bin folder. Now, I'm getting status 6. I know it has to do with the updater script, but I can't figure it out. If someone could help me, that would be great. Thanks in advance. http://pastebin.com/qrRVzR6t

[Q] How do I get unstuck from AT&T screen running ICS

Hey all, I recently rooted my atrix 2 about 3 days ago then decided I wanted to run ICS so I went back to 2.3.5 then OTA'd to 2.3.6 and got my phone on ICS following Jim's guide. Everything went fine and I was running ICS fine until I downloaded ROMtoolbox and tried to change my font to the DROID font. the screen flashed and everything went to chinese and then my phone reboot itself but now it keepts getting stuck on the white AT&T screen, I've tried running through recovery and rebooting but everytime it just freezes on that screen.
Nevermind guys I got it all back up and working by just reinstalling ICS from recovery menu.

Can you get into bootmenu? If yes, do you have an ICS based backup?
If you don't have a backup or bootmenu the only thing you can really do is fkz back to GB 2.3.5 and re-update...
And for future reference... don't use rom toolbox.. it usually doesn't end well... as you might have figured out.
PEOPLE! Stop goofing around with things using ROM Toolbox, it does nothing for your phone other than cause headaches. I've soft bricked using it, others are having similar problems. It's not worth the hassle. Seriously...

Yupp, even i bootlooped trying to change the font.
Sent from my MB865 on rooted ICS leak
so it would be better to have the individual apps themselves instead of toolbox or stay away from those apps in general? also is it still possible to do the wifi tethering with the ICS leak?

[Q] In between ROM's N7000

Hi so I was running Ultimate N7000 XXLSC JellyBean 4.1.2 v5.1 (this is a link to the specific ROM) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1970626
So today i decided i wanted to run 4.2.1 and found StuNNeR had a new one for 4.2.1 (Link to ROM) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2071669and it looked pretty good so went through the usual process.
There is a warning on the page saying "Make sure to run CM9/10 or an AOSP-based ROM : FLASHING/WIPING FROM STOCK ICS OR ROMS BASED ON STOCK ICS WILL RESULT IN A BRICK!"
Now Ultimate is TW based so could posibly be considered based on a stock ROM but is not ICS its JB so I thought I was safe but now what happens when i go to actually flash the ROM (click on the .zip file) it very quickly runs a process for approx 2 seconds then shows a android man with his guts open and a red exclamation mark (I attached a image below I found off the net of the man for reference) and that's as far as i get obviously it hasn't correctly installed the new ROM and I have tried redoing the process 3 times i have attempted to let it boot but it doesn't it just sits on the initial Galaxy Note splash screen and goes no further. Unfortunately I had recently removed my Recovery so I cant use that.
Any assistance would be much appreciated on how to get my phone working again. The only option i can think off is using ODIN? But I would only like to do that as last resort.

[Q] Problems with ROM installation after 4.1.2 Newb help

Today, I checked for an OTA update in anticipation of the Premium Suite release with 4.2. Alas, Verizon was kind enough to give us a teaser. Frustrated, I took matters into my own hands and quickly rooted and unlocked my GS III with Odin carefully following the instructions and my device booted fine and all was well.
I explored my options of ROMs and chose Synergy as it had some very appealing options. I flashed it with CWM Touch recovery. It bootlooped, so I tried it again. It worked, but half of the features listed in the OP we're not on the phone. I had used the default installation of Synergy, so I went through it again doing a custom install. After a few tries it finally booted but still didn't have any advertised goodies. I played around with it anyway, and it was laggy and buggy, often rebooting.
After a few more variations of custom flashing the ROM, I resolved to restore my phone to a stable and working condition.
I expect that the issue is that I rooted and unlocked the 4.1.2, not from 4.1.1. But wouldn't that cause more serious issues? Or not work at all?
I haven't messed around with development since the Droid X and I wasn't an expert either. Any insight or direction would be awesome; I can still barely wait to get the multi-window feature!

Fiddled around with USCC Galaxy S6: Boot Loops, process com.google.process.gapps...

1. TWRP is up
2. baseband G920R4TYU2BOF7/HW version G9020R4.02
3. No Mods
4. Rooted
So I tried flashing the Vader ROM, I was getting boot loops at the language selection screen. I go back and restore from backups my original stuff. Boot back up and now I'm getting the lovely "process.com.google.gapps has stopped" error. I'm assuming that I may need to find gapps for 5.1.1? I also tried flashing XtreStoLite ROM with the Aroma add on. Everything seemed to be working great with the exception of the data and no signal, which I am to assume is because I'm not using the correct carrier-specific stuff.
Go to download the stock ROM for my phone, and I keep getting an error as well. Odin won't flash it. One thing that I noticed is that the stock rom was 5.0.2 where when I got the phone 3 days ago it came with 5.1.1.
At this point, I'd like to be able to get it back to stock if possible. I jumped the gun and started flashing all sorts of things without checking to see if it would even for with a USCC galaxy s6. Any help would be much appreciated.
UPDATE: Problem seems to have resolved itself with the last restore. no more problems with gapps. However I am curious as to if any of these custom roms will work with a USCC variant

Questions Regarding ST:S5

I've searched the forums beforehand, so if someone finds something I missed, I apologize.
I have a Straight-Talk Samsung Galaxy S5.
Model Number from within Android says SM-S902L
Model Number on the battery cover says SM-G900P (B)
Currently running 4.4.2
I was wondering if someone would be able to show me how to root this, install a custom recovery, and tell me which roms I can install. The two different model numbers are confusing me.
EDIT: I rooted via CF Auto root using the sprint ktle .tar. Does this mean that most SM-G900P roms will work? I'm still confused on how to get from 4.4.2 to Android 5 or 6, if it's even possible.
Thank you very much.
i put a version of MOAR built for the vzw G900v on a 902L a few mos ago and its working fine. Just get TWRP on it and you can flash pretty much any snapdragon based ROM on it barring incompatible kernels and so forth
I got TWRP installed and it works fine, made sure the first thing I did was back everything up. It's just that, every post I've seen, the OP's Straight Talk S5 was just a rebranded Verizon S5, while mine is a rebranded Sprint S5. I just want to be certain flashing a Verizon ROM won't bork my "Sprint" phone. I can't find APN settings or anything. So I can't even copy them to change them later. So should I only try Sprint ROMs?
Tats the weird thing about the 902L, it says g900p on it, but i had to flash the vzw version of MOAR instead of the G900Ps version for it to work. But its seriously hard to bork your phone in such a manner that Odin cant fix it. I cant tell you how many times ive tried to install a ROM that was made for the g900p on my g900p and it failed, so, i just flashed MOAR in TWRP again and viola. Also, the backup thing isnt as vital as some make it seem if you have the tarball for the phone you own. Sure, it makes it easy to restore from an eff-up if you dont have your computer handy, but its just so unnecessary to make a backup of your original setup, just have a backup of a known to be fully working setup. Anyways, give vzw's MOAR a try. Its a great ROM and if anything goews wrong, just odin your phones original tarball back on it and all will be back to stock. You have to flash TWRP after the phones OG tarball tho
I don't have my phones OG tar. And is there a step I have to take before installing M.O.A.R or can I just jump from 4.x.x to 6.x.x?
im not aware of any 6.x.x ROMs that are compatible. MOAR is 5.0. Are you trying to get an app working that isnt compatible with 4.x.x? Like the car synch app? And to flash MOAR, just download it, wipe cache, dalvik and system in TWRP and install MOAR. Firstly tho, get the tarball from sammobile.com/firmwares. Its a super slow d/l, but youre gonna want to have it in case of a nuclear bomb restore necessity (not a likely scenario, but youre gonna want it. I have it and can host it for you on android file host later once i get home)
did you get the tarball for the 902L?
i ended up redownloading it from sammobile.com/firmwares. Took about 90 min because of their horrendous download speeds for non premium members, but i have 7 TB of storage, so im not wasting any space just having it since i have a G900P LoL (well, 2 of em along with the bovy of other phones i have for whatever reason i still keep them)
Thank you so much!, and Happy Thanksgiving if you celebrate. I've installed MOAR and the only thing I did was change the colors of the status bar icons and now all the phone does is boot to lockscreen then cycle back to boot animation. Something I did?

wipe all the appropriate caches before installing? and where did you get the version of MOAR youre using? Also happy thanksgiving to you too!
Ironically, I want to go back to 4.X.X for compatibility issues. Do I just wipe Dalvik and Cache and load OG tar through odin? I cant locate OG tar for 902L :/
