My personal favourite video player is Dice Player. Install it from the Play Store.
(or you can try MX Player, which was my previous favourite video player)
Both of the played almost every kind of video format that I had.
Hope this helps.

no problem, glad to help.
I also see the bar at the very bottom of the screen. I don't think it can be removed.(at least I haven't found out how to do it yet)

From my experiences with the SGT2, i would prefer MX Player. Had some troubles with viedo quality using Dice Player.

The mVideoplayer is my favorite one, but the MoboPlayer would be the one that plays the most files.
Video Formats
What format and settings are you using for the videos? I've used a couple of players so far, and both mobo and mvideoplayer have done well for me so far, but specific video formatting can be sketchy. I've found that its best to remaster any vids I grab to a universal format that does a reasonable job of compression vs quality. I don't recall the settings I've been using off the top, but I can check once I get home from work and let you know what works best for me.
Moboplayer!
stock is best
i think the stock player is best ... but it would be nice if someone would compile VLC to work on android... just a thought.
I use Vplayer and it plays everything i need to, trial is free and says it only will work for 30 days or something like that but i have used it past that with no problems
is there anything that will play ISO though?
I personally use vplayer has best quality and haven't found a video yet it hasn't been able to play...

The film and the subs are with the same name? Like Avatar.rmvb / Avatar.srt and in the same folder?
mVideoPlayer

[Q] Which Video Player are you using?

I'm looking for a videop player that can play avi, mkv, m4v, and mp4. I'm currently using mVideo Player Pro, but it seem not to like avi, mkv, and m4v. Any help would be appretiated.
QQplayer
QQplayer android market
Try LittlePlayer, there's a free version that plays 5 mins of video to see if it will play what you want. It's the only video player besides stock (that I've come across) that fades out the status bar at the bottom of the screen, a MUCH appreciated feature. More video players need to do this or we need more people to support this player.

I use Vplayer (from the market). Seems to work ok so far, I haven't tested all the file types yet though.
I try and use the default player if possible (as it using hardware decoding) but otherwise I use Moboplayer.
Rock player! it plays every format!

yes from Havana and I live in Louisvile, KY
mVideoplayer is running fine. It plays all my 720p High Profile mkv's (re-encoded according to the guide @xda).
Moboplayer and Rockplayer were also playing the files, but together with subtitles (srt's) they didn't get the job done (smoothly without subtitles, but with much lag when subtitles where shown) where mVideoplayer does it right.
I will give Littleplayer a try, because of hiding the status bar. Hopefully it's capable of playing subtitles.
Unfortunately Littleplayer does not support subtitles, but I like the hidden dockbar very much. If I could mix Littleplayer with mVideoplayer I would have the perfect videoplayer.

I've heard ppl having the same issue, but never experienced it myself
Also, try to set the langages in the preferences before playing it

I don't know, it just plays all my movies from the start. I was experimenting with almost all players, but none of them were good for my demands (working subtitles). mVideoplayer plays every movie which I've encoded. I don't know in what way you open the movies, but I start them from an explorer, not from within the program itself. Maybe that works. I also had these problems with Rockplayer and Moboplayer. All my mkv's are re-encoded from the guide found here @ xda.
All movies should be re-encoded to change the ac3 sound to aac, otherwise you don't have any audio! I think this solves the no-sound issue with the mkv's.
Can you share this link for the guide?
My 720p or 1080p LOST Blu-Ray rips are playing in amazing quality on MOBO player but no sound unfortunately. I installed all the codecs from MOBO but still no luck. The picture quality is impressive though.

Doing a quick search i came up with this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1092965
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1102243
I meant this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1060825
When you're on HC 3.1 you don't have to encode the video anymore, only the ac3/DTS sound to aac to have sound on the TF. Then, the guides above will also be good enough and these will take less time to encode. When you're on HC 3.01 you have to encode video too.
I just used the attached presets from my link and I got perfect videoquality and sound, with seperate srt's I also have subtitles.
I had been using RockPlayer on my Android 2.2 GTab and it was my best choice for video playback. When I got my Android 3.1 TF, RockPlayer Lite would work but you couldn't activate it because of the HC OS. They have a new HC 3.1 release now and it works perfect for me and activates perfect. (I did have to buy another license but a great program and worth the $9.99 for me...)

Best video player?

I've been trying to find THE video player for my TS300T... I used to use MX Player, but sometimes it doesn't reproduce audio, or the audio is "disconected" from the video, and then I have to tweak the settings: in the end is a real pain to see a video.
So I wanted to ask you guys which video player you use, and why, so I could try them here

Video Player

Anyone know of a good video player?? I have been looking for one but can't find one I like. I just need it to play videos in my library that's it. I have MX Player and I like it but only problem is when I click a video I want to watch when it's done playing that video it will skip to the next one. If I could find a way to disable that I would be happy. Any ideas will help! Thank you
You haven't looked thru the settings of MX player have you... Open MX player and go to settings>Player>Playback complete action

[Q] How do I set a resolution of an Android device?

What I have here is this unbranded 7" WM8850-MID tablet, and it's obvious that the aspect ratio is wrong!
It has a 15:9 stretched on a 16:9 screen and it's really annoying because all the videos playing on it look stretched out.
How can I set a custom resolution to match the aspect ratio of the tablet? Thanks.

Well reality is that you can not change the resolution of screen. Try MX Video Player. You can fit the video on your screen just the way you want!
Hit thanks if I helped you.....

Seems like that's the only way.
Is there a way to make videos play with MX Video Player? For example, if I'm on YouTube, can I make it play in MX Video Player?

Seems a Bit Tedious Now... But here is the solution.... Maybe it will help you.... Open MX Player. Go to Settings > General > Check Play Http Link Videos...
Now, As you might know, Watching any video on YouTube=Downloading the Video. So just copy the video URL you want to watch & go to the browser and paste it.
Now here is the trick: You have to edit the URL as www.youtube.com/abcdefghqwerty To www.ssyoutube.com/abcdefghqwerty. i.e, you have to add the letters 'ss' before word 'youtube' then hit go. It'll go to savefrom page. Select the quality and format of video you want. It will open the video with MX Player!! Watch it with desired resolution. B)
Try it!! This trick will also save your data traffic!
