Hi all,
First post.
I've been using Revolver ROM since it first came out.
Now finally ran into my very first problem.
I install CWM recovery toch and ran into the bootloop problem. Tried everthing i could find but to no avail.
Then tried reinstalling Revolver ROM 4 RC2, this work and was able to boot it. Revolver parts howevers keeps telling me that its not a Revolver ROM.
This dit not occur before install CWM recovery toch.
At this point it's running Cyanogenmod 9 but i would really like to install Revolver 4 again because battery life and GPS was al lot better.
Maybe someone can help.
Regards

Revolver ROM always has revolver parts but revolver ICS 4.1.1 RC2 is a release candidate version 2, since its not a stable release, it won't run revolver parts... download the latest stable release then you should be able to install revolver parts....

Im in love with this on feature from the revolver rom that gives you a button on the task swither screen to take them off. Is there anyway i could get that on any other rom than Revolver?
I'd rather not go and flash Revolver, if thats what your thinking about saying.
why not

ok, so I picked up the Cappy tonight, did alot of reading,
PLEASE NOTE, I have a Rogers Galaxy S Captivate SGH-I896, On Froyo 2.2
I successfully rooted the device with superoneclick,
downloaded Rom Manager, Flashed Clockwork recovery for Galaxy S Captivate
Reboot to recovery, select re-install packages, FAILED Signature...and aborts,
What am I doing wrong here?
Is there a better method? Every guide I read said to do it with rom manager...do I need to flash the stock rogers GB with bootloaders? then retry clockwork again?
/Lost
soooooo.....
you didnt actually SEARCH for the ACTUAL ERROR MESSAGE that you got?

Thanks thats exactly what i needed, i now have cm7 loaded up.
one question tho, while cm7 would install fine i initially tried to flash the ICS port by teamhacksung and it resulted in a bootloop, is there some step im missing? are someupdates only installable from internal sdcard?
You must be on a mtd based rom, which cm7 is, (touch wiz roms are bml based) before flashing to ics. U should be able to flash ics with no problem now.

ok will give it another shot!
Enjoy, it's quite different
Well, ics successfully flashed this time.
Only difference from my last attempt was I flashed a cm7 nightly instead of stable, also once on cm7 I flashed a newer radio as well as the glitch kernel. Dunno what had affected it before but its now running nicely on ics build 9.
Thanks for the help guys, I guess where I got hung up is where cwm resides in the kernel on this device? Where on all my htc's we simply flash cwm over the stock recovery. Anyways thanks again!

The glitch kernel is not compatible with ics, as of yet. It was over written when u flashed ics I'm pretty sure.
Well being completly new to this device was a lot of learning, I still have no idea what I did wrong initially to get stuck in bootloops, but I somehow managed to get cm7 working and then up onto ics so all is well as far as I can see now. Its a backup device for us so I'm pretty sure I will only be flashing ics as it matures. Must say the ics on the cappy is pretty far ahead in terms of usability compared to the desire z, great work here from your devs! And thanks for the pointers guys!

Ok so i have scoured this forum today and I have failed to find the answer I seek.
I just want my stable TF101 back. This means the last firmware of HoneyComb. I have tried Revolver and I just keep getting the boot loops and some of my apps just don't work at all. I want to try CM9 but I will wait for that to become just a bit more stable.
So where do I find the original ASUS firmwares? I have found multiple threads that say to download from ASUS but I only see .21 on the site now.
Has someone captured these and if so where?
Or is there a good HoneyComb based ROM that I should try?
I am just sick of the reboots, hangs, and all the other crap.
Thanks guys for your help and time in this matter.
CM9 Megatron is perfectly stable for me, and ARHD is super stable stock, You just need to flash the guevor or tastymehics kernel with it and works amazingly, on ICS. If you're still hell bent on HC two very good HC roms are Prime by roach2010 and Revolver HC by gnufabio.
I'm using the the Frozn rom and ICS test 17c guever kernel and have no issues with rebooting or anything else.. give that a go.
PS: the frozn rom comes with icstest9 guevor kernel which did give me some reboot issues but 17c has been great so far.

Kernel

Will try
Thanks guys I will begin to play around then with the different roms. I have never flashed a new kernel just roms on my phone and pad so I will look into that.
If all else fails and I really want to go back to stock HC is there a place I can find those?
I used my TF for work often and since the upgrade I can not get the citrix receiver to work in ICS and TF.
Im curious to know if anyone using past or present Revolver rom experienced a long boot time? When I had Revolution HD it didnt take as long as Revolver.

I'm using the Revolver RC2 and it doesn't seem long at all.
I'm using the kernel included atm.
You are using the newest Revolver which doesnt do me any good but thanks. I am using the rom that came before Revolver ICS (4.0 RC2). It takes a couple minutes to boot thats not normal

Well you said past or present, and the newest one is present technically...
lol ha i did. What I meant was past or present users of Revolver 3.11. Currently using or have in the past. Is that suitable for your proper reply?
Hi. So my problem is, that I've tried almost every custom rom that exists and I thought that Rayman's CM10 will be the last one cause everyone told me that it works totally fine and it's stable. I have to do like 8 restarts per day, cause after a few sleeps the sound goes off, I have slow scrolling, bad reactions of the display. I'm just sick of it and I'm done with all the experiments.
So can anyone link me to some post where I can find how do I get to the Asus stock ICS rom from Rayman's CM10? I'd probably just ROOT it and get drivers for the 3G USB modem and don't do anything else.. I downloaded all the apps I wanted, it took me many hours and I just want something where I don't have to do wipe again.. Something working and stable..
Thanks in advance.
You can get TF101 stock firmwares from the ASUS official website.
and isn't there any problem with the CWM recovery or anything else? can I just install it here?
Last time I reset I flashed latest stock from Asus' then flashed CWM using easyflasher ( showthread.php?t=1688012 ). It also allows for RogueXM that's based on CWM and it provides 1-click root as well.

AOKP with guevors aokp ics kernel or raymanfx haromny ics is very stable i used it for months after the rr rob
Sent from my EPAD using xda app-developers app
I'm on EOS 3 with K.A.T kernel for the last two or so weeks and haven't had even the slightest problem. Compared with the stock firmware its at least twice as smooth and afaik the best 3D performance of any rom so far, id give it a try before going back to stock.
that sounds great, I want it to be STABLE, that's the most important thing, I can't stand all the freezing. I'll give it a shot, never tried any different kernel
AOKP with Guevors kernel for aokp if you want the dl i have the kernel and Raymanfx harmony ics are very stable ics on AOKP
