Ok so I rooted my friends coby kyros mid7014 and have spent the last 2 hours scouring the web looking for a Clockwork Recovery and Custom ROM for this tablet. Sorry it's here I can't post in the development section. I haven't had enough posts because I usually search until I find an answer because there's usually a solution somewhere. I would assume this has been asked before and someone has tried to figure this out but I can't find an answer for the life of me...
Thanks in advance!
And your question is...?
For custom ROMs for your tablet go to Google and look for: Kyros Tablet Zone KTZ
That's a website specialized for all Coby Kyros tablets. You won't find custom ROMs for those tablets here.
Looking for nandroid restore files for 7014
I just messed up flashing a custom rom to my gf's mothers 7014. My backups aren't working so i was wondering if anyone had stock backup or restores i could have. I ended up trying to use nandroid img files from a 7012 and got the tablet to boot but I can't get the touch screen to work.

Hi,
I work in a school, and the school have just purchased 75 Lenovo A7600 tablets (Lenovo Tab A10).
Basically, I want to build one up and image the rest so I thought the best way to do this would be with a custome recovery - any thoughts? Any suggestion on how to do this with this model?
I was thinking the best way would be to flash Clockwork Recovery, then use that to backup on the first device and then restore it on the rest. Obviously as the tablet isn't very popular model, there's very little online about doing this on this model so I'm a little hesitant as only done it with Samsung phones in the past, following guides.
At the minute it's taking about 40mins per tablet to setup to how we want it so I think this would be a quicker way, if we had say 10 SD cards and just worked through them.
We can't get drivers for this device so would all need to be done on the device.
Lenovo have said we can do what we want with the software, their warranty still stands unless we start physically tinkering with the hardware.
Any help and/or advice is highly appreciated.
So I've searched the forums, and I'm sorry to bring up a old thread.
But, I'm looking for a way to root the A-7600 aswell, love the tablet (for the money I paied), And all I miss is root.
Thanks!
Better late than never !
Hi guys,
there is a thread on this site about your problem : its name is "[Guide] Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70 Root, Recovery, Xposed and Others" (I'm sorry, since I am new on this site, I can't post any link)
Cheers,
Hello i've been digging around this forum all morning, and nothing so far.
so i have this coby kyros mid8048 tablet.
i went to this page to root the tablet.
w w w.androidtablets.net/threads/coby-8048-recovery-custom-rom.51742
it has vampirefo's recovery, root, and stock rom zips.
i grabbed all of them. wasn't sure what order to proceed, because he said the roms/zips were signed and could be installed from the builtin recovery consoles.
so i took the big one. stock_8048_root_gapps_signed.zip
renamed it update.zip
went to settings>about>update>install
and ran it.
the tablet rebooted and installed his 150MB package, and now my tablet is stuck on the boot screen with only the word COBY sitting there. it doesn't progress or complete the boot process. so it's kinda bricked now.
i then installed his recovery zip and then rebooted, pulled up his recovery console, and tried reinstalling the other zips one after the other to see if one would make my tablet bootable again. NO DICE. his zip bricked my tablet.
i read in the comments that others had gotten it to work, but no word on any that got bricked.
so i need help fixing this tablet. i have some kind of cwm recovery console running on it that works.
CWM-Based Recovery v6.0.1.1 for Coby 8048 by Vampirefo. -and it has all the usual recovery options.
So what do i need to do to fix it, and where can i find the items necessary to fix it?? vis-a-vis: stock rom, recovery rom, updates, etc....
i can't seem to find any other zips for coby 8048. funny thing is there's billions of posts about this thing, and they seem to have sold quite a large number of them, but i can't find a plain old stock rom. if anyone can upload a stock rom i'd be very greatful in getting this tablet running again.
i also noticed that vampirefo's stock zip doesn't have an IMG file in it, i thought that was necessary when flashing tablets?? -but that's not importat as simply finding the original stock rom.
please help. -MTRX

I just want to root my xoom 4.1.2. I am a newbie, and I have read many different guides, but I can not find a recovery for my model.
I was following a guide on the [HOW] Rookie Rooting, Flashing And UnRooting Under One Roof thread over at the xoom forums dot com.
and it says to download a recovery image that no longer exists! D. Download this recovery image(recovery-Tiamat-R4c-100611-1150-cwm.img) and place it in the "SDK_tools folder" at your PC C:drive: here
I can't find that file anywhere!! Is there another recovery image I can use in its place? Or do I have to follow a whole new set of instructions to root my xoom. Please help! I can't go buy another tablet right now, and apps and Google products have stopped working properly on my stock 4.1.2!
Thank you all in advance!

I have the same problem. I can not find this file. It seems as if the earth had swallowed it. If someone has it could you tell us where to find it?
Thank you
Here's a link to a copy of the recovery I happen to still have around. Just stumbled across this thread, since I came here in preparation for rolling my Xoom back to stock due to recent issues it's developed. It's hosted up on MediaFire, hopefully no one minds.
