Clever tip for chrome users reading about apps. - Android Apps and Games

So as most of you do, I'm reading about apps in XDA and various other android blogs. I kept running into the whole "highlight-app-name-copy-app-name-open-new-tap-go-to-google-play-click-search-field-paste-app-name-hit-search" game and it thought there has to be a better way.
Enter "Context Search": https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/dbpfafcplnjmakknnonpegphpmpmhjhj?utm_source=gmail
Add Google play, you don't need the "https://" (see screenshot). Now i can just highlight the app name, click down arrow, choose Google Play and BAM it goes to google play store and searches for the app name.
Go ahead and try it. Its prettly slick.

Open http://play.google.com, right click in the search box, add as a search engine. I use play as keyword. Want to search app named QWERTY: Ctrl+t, play TAB QWERTY INTRO.
I'm a keyboard user when on a computer.

Open http://play.google.com, right click in the search box, add as a search engine. I use play as keyword. Want to search app named QWERTY: Ctrl+t, play TAB QWERTY INTRO.

Oh nice! I never used the TAB to search in chrome. This may now change. Thanks!

[Q] Kindle/Nook/Google Books Tie together

I'm trying to find an app that can access and show me all three of my libraries for Google Play books, Kindle and Nook in the same thing.
Additional features that would be nice, but not required, the ability to search a title and have it search all three companies sites at the same time; the ability to click on a book and have it open up in it's corresponding application.
For the search feature, I want it to find the book for sale, not just show me a listing, for example, Google doesn't sell David Drake books, but Kindle does. Though Google will show the book in the Google play when doing a Google search, but you can't buy it from them..
If you know of anything that does all three, the main one or any combination of the three, let me know.

Google Play Search

How long does it take to have an app show up in Google Play Search Results?
I published my app 1 week ago, and I still can't find it in Google Play Search Results when I search for the exact Name of the App, I browse all the apps, until the end of the page, and I can't find it.
The only way to find it, is when I use the Package name of the app. (But obviously nobody will search with that term). I just tried this to make sure the app is actually published.
Is it just a matter of time? Or is there a way to optimize it, and have it spidered by Google Play Search? I also can't find any info about this in Google Developer Help or searching the XDA forums.
Thanks.
What is the name of your app and name under which it is published

Dido. That's just how it is now.

Finding developer name for an app

You might think that after 10-ish years of using Android, I'd know this...
How do I find the developer name of a specific app in Oreo? I don't see it in Settings > Apps > (app name), or in the app's setting under About. The only way I've found in general, is long press in the app icon the tap the Play Store icon. But some apps are not in the Google play store.
Specifically, I have two app call Contacts. One I know is Google. I can confirm this using the Play Store icon as described above. I haven't another way. The other, I'm 97% sure is Samsung. Tapping it's Play Store icon opens the Play Store to a page that says "Item not found."
I can find version very easily. I can also find the license info. Why is the dev name so hard to find?

Location search using Bing & mapping apps

I've an oddly specific question: if you search for a location, say a 7-eleven, using the Bing app or Bing in the browser, and you hit the directions button - what navigation app opens, Here WeGo?
Ive just tested it out, So it gives you a web based version of google maps, However you can always do the search in here we go for the 7 eleven, Or you can use google maps but the functions dont all work, Im actually loving here we go, Its clean and super easy to use!

Thanks for testing that out for me. I figured it'd open a web version of Google Maps because that's what happens on other Androids.
I like HERE WeGo too. I'm looking into using Tasker to open Google Maps links in HERE WeGo. But Tasker is kinda complicated for newbies.

^ this app opens Google Map links in HERE. Not the nicest implementation, but it works.

Yep, it does. But you've got to build the task. And Tasker is hard for newbies.
Send to Navigation pretty much does the same thing.

Google Search app or Action Search app stopped suggesting installed applications

I don't like cluttering my Android phone's screen with a lot of icons
I like to have a single search for web search and apps search
I use Action Launcher
I set a gesture that will open Google Search
Until about January 20, 2021, I was able to just open Google Search either via the gesture I set, the Google search widget, or the Google app itself and start searching for the name of an application I have installed on my phone. For example if I typed "tele", in the suggestions the "telegram" app would show up. This was also working with Actions Search, no issues.
However, at around the date I mentioned above, this feature disappeared both from Google Search and Action Search. I guess Action Launcher's search uses Google to do the search and get the suggestions.
Now, if I do search with Google Search for "telegram app" and click search, the app will be the first result and I can click the card in the results and the app starts. But this introduces more typing and at least one more tap as well.
Interestingly enough, if I fire up the Google Assistant, switch to keyboard and type "telegram" the app will start. Further searches will suggest it, so I can type just "tele", but it still requires an extra click (I have to click the keyboard because assistant starts in voice mode, and starting in text mode is even worse because it start without focusing the text field so I have to click twice, once to focus the input field and once more on the field to fire up the keyboard)
So far I tried clearing Google app's cache and restarting the phone several times. It didn't help.
I also checked in settings -> Personal Results that installed apps are checked. I even unchecked/rechecked it with a Google app cache clean in-between.
Do you guys and girls have any suggestions?
