Database Info

X10 Bootscreen problem

I tried to port this to my X10 after stumbling upon here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=693064) ...
I wanted to share it but for some reason it doesnt work
I just get a white screen (at least it didnt gave me a boot loop )
I really dont know why ... can some1 please have a look into it? The resolution should be okay and i even renamed all files to be exactly like my last working boot animation ...

I can fix it later but I'm busy right now, if its not fixed for you by the end of tonight I will fix it when I get back home.

Anyone willing to change the text on this and modify it to fit the x10?

...just need to know how to get it on the phone now.

dude its just a flat image not an animation ... copy it to your phone, and move it with root explorer to /etc/semc/startupshow/default/ (i think, didnt check)
but like i said in the first post .... mine should work but doesnt ... why?

Of course it is, it's one of 30 png images that I've edited.

Because the pngs are the wrong size. 29 of them should be 240x247, and the last one should be 480x854.

Just used rootexplorer to copy and paste the files and can confirm they work, so will attach them now...

[Q] Return to stock: how complete can it be?

I have an LG Thrill running P920 rom, last week I was trying some different roms for better T-Mobile compatibility. One of the rom (I think it's official for some Chinese carrier) has changed the startup screen (see below the picture), afterwards no matter what rom that I flash, I simply can't change back the startup screen, which I think should be the ATT "Rethink Possible" logo. Any ideas that I can revert it back?

try flashing a kdz using darks method and it should fix it

Thanks, I think I have used that method many times, but will give it another try.

It seems like a no-go Used three different ways of flashing, including restore via LG Official Tool, the image simply won't go...
I have also inspected all files under /system/media, no trace of the posted image file.
Any more ideas to try?

I'm thinking your boot loader what updated.

I would check /data/local or /data/media, i'm quite sure Android checks these locations before /system/app and thats probably why it's sticking even after you flash other roms.

i can still access my bootloader , but if i try to turn on the white screen htc logo and it keeps on looping what should i do?
and another question if i can still access my bootloader does it means its not yet totally brick?

are u stock or using custom rom? bootloader version?

I have had the same issue.
Try in boot loader you are able to connect to USB Fastboot , if yes then you can flsh a new rom with RUU . you can find in developement forum.
I suggest you to use RUU with 2.3.5.

can u go to recovery/fastboot,, if yes, then flash latest 4ext recovery ,, and flash a new rom,, if this dont work,, flash a RUU,,

This could be in "developer" options, if developer option is enabled check to see if there is an option to show this and uncheck it.

Yes maybe you are right to flash again with the another firmware now I'll try to download another firmware for my device and re-flashing the firmware.

Nothing chance after reflashing with other stock rom,that would still be a notification about phone on home screen.and now my device lock screen all is not work from swipe,pattren,pin,face unlock,password all not work...[emoji57] [emoji57] [emoji57] [emoji57] [emoji57]

Ok, so i flashed this one while waiting anyways, no dice. Phone reports "Cant update software - There was an unexpected error and the file system may be corrupted. Please contact HTC support for further assistance"

Hey, thanks for reaching out. No, I dont. I found a proper full RUU for my model, so its all back to stock, its been handed over to mum already, and I've migrated to the U11 forum!
