Hi all,
My brother owns a Nexus S that I've helped him unlock, and consequently installed CWM and CM7, then CM9 and now CM10.
A few months ago, while on CM9 he started experiencing FC's that did not specifically state what app was causing.
This has increased in frequency, and wiping everything and starting from scratch in either ICS or JB has yielded no change.
He has Radio i9020xxki1, and latest CM10 available as of a couple days ago.
I am attaching the bug report generated when FC'd, but I don't really know how to tell what is causing the issue from reading it.
Any help would be appreciated!

Nobody knows or can give me hints on how to decipher the bug report?

my inspire is about 7mths old. I've flashed numerous roms and never had a problem with the auto rotate feature. but not long ago I tried to use Google Sky one night and it wouldn't work correctly. so I checked the sensor using Elixr and it's not getting a reading at all. no pitch/roll etc. any ideas?
right now I'm running Icecoldsandwich 7.3 with kernel lordmod 9.5.1 CFS. any suggestions or ideas let me know.
btw thinking maybe it was the Rom or kernel I did a full wipe and flashed back to a Rom i know worked at one point (MikRunny) and it still didn't work. so I went back to ICS 4.0.4.
I have the same problem. Nothing seems to fix it. I've tried rebooting, resetting, re-flashing, and flashing different ROMs. Could it just be a hardware problem?
I reported the same problem here about a month ago. This seems to be a fairly common problem with Inspire. The Inspire forum on the htc site has five pages full of unresolved complaints. I suspect that it is hardware related.

Did you drop it? Or could be the application itself.
Hi,
I rooted my phone a couple of days back & upgraded to ICS using Hellfire v1.8 rom.
Since I was getting lags, I also got the flak0's lag fix.
I have started facing an issue the phone would freeze post a long call on the phone screen, I can't even get it to reboot by pressing 'lock+vol up' button. The only way is to remove the battery & put it back.
I saw a similar issue seen in this thread from partzman2:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=28342782#post28342782
But unfortunately, I am unable to comment on the thread as I don't have enough posts in my name. I searched the forums for this issue, but couldn't find a solution.
Any help is appreciated.
My sincere thanks to dev folks
Just wanted to take a moment to thank the dev folks who put in a lot of work in creating these roms/mods - experience is so much better, I can't even begin to explain.
I have had g2x for more than 14 months now & I had been running stock froyo 1st & then GB (2.3.3) - the experience was so bad, that I used it only for making phone calls or occasional emails, as i couldn't even browse or do anything w/o hitting some problem or the other. Even phone calls used to crash at times.
After updating to ICS, I haven't stopped using the phone be it browsing, watching you tube videos, trying new apps, emails etc, with occasional phone calls .
Again, thanks a lot for so much hard work, its really appreciated.

Hi, welcome to XDA :fingers-crossed:
I have some sort of sad news for you. In general-- ICS on the G2X isn't really stable right now. A lot of rom's have problems with lag after a few weeks, graphical errors, rebooting, and phone calles (as you mentioned). I'm not sure exactly how to fix your problem, but I had it too. I couldn't find a suitable fix, so i went back to Cyangogenmod 7 (gingerbread)
The latest nightly (newest build uploaded on their server) is available here: http://download.cyanogenmod.com/?type=nightly&device=tenderloin
If you are NOT using the march 2012 baseband, flash "old_baseband.zip". I am looking for the file (not sure what thread it is in).
What baseband are you one?
Also, If you must try ics, i suggest Owain's build 77. It's one of the most stable I've found so far.
I'll update post soon.

Thanks for the info. Actually, I went through quite a bit of dev threads before deciding to go with ICS - I was quite curios about its features & was ready to take the risk.
Only thing is that owain's recent 79 build seemed to have quite a bit of issues from the posts, & hellfire seemed a bit old/stable, so went with that. I didn't consider using old owain's builds (which might be an overlook from my part).
Is there a way I can find what I might lose (& possibly gain), if I switch to owain's 77 build?
I am using Jul15, 2011 baseband & kernel is 2.6.32.59-CM9-faux123-050.
Is there a better baseband/kernel that I should try?
I switched the kernel to harsh kernel & I feel that the speed has improved, but "freezing on a call randomly" issue still exists. Also, it crashes & reboots once in a while but I still feel that its worth all the pain as now I am actually able to make use of the phone.
Blazing Angel, did you find the latest baseband which I can try using?
Another bug I found is that I cannot really configure the lock screen buttons/shortcuts - as in adding a an app to be able to accessed from the lock screen like we do for camera. I see the option of changing this in setting but it doesn't persist when I try to change it.
Anyone seeing this?

The latest baseband is march 2012. To update, you need to install Tmobile's V21Y update.
Follow this guide
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1674901
Note: If you install this, and try to use a rom other than CM7 7.2.0, you need to flash owains New_baseband fix after flashing a rom from here
http://owain.hopto.org/T-Mobile LG...w_baseband.zip
Hi just want to add info with new baseband the bluetooth doesn't work.

some of that i experienced my self , most of the times the camera and hdmi port is sacrificed in the g2x
Thanks for the info guys. Say my gps works/locks already (takes a bit of time though) with the hellfire ICS, is there anything I get by flashing this new baseband?
Does it or would it fix the random freezing on calls by any chance?
Basically, I read the instructions & it seems that I'd have to go back to stock, unroot & then re-root + reflash + restore my apps etc - seems like too much if I am not getting something out of it.
If it doesn't add much value, then I will consider doing it once another stable version of hellfire or owain's rom is released..
BTW, did anyone experience the lock screen config issue I posted in my earlier post - basically I can't add custom short cuts to the lock screen, there is an option to do this in the settings but they dont stick (I am on hellfire v1.8 right now)
I have been on CM10 for the past 4 weeks or so. Love it, but google navigation keeps crashing anywhere from immediately to ~30 seconds after launch. Maps, directions work fine, just when I launch NAV. running 20121101.063920 but this issue has been happening in the last couple of builds. Can anyone help?
I am seeing the exact same problem on recent CM10 builds for the Sprint EVO 4G LTE. I've been unable to find the cause.

Yes, I've been following the issue as well. Still no luck, but it seems to be in the pipeline for a fix. Here's hoping.
Me too
I have the same issue. HTC EVO lte Other than that really annoying bug in GNav, I LOVE cm10. One other issue that I have is that sometimes on third party apps, when I pause music, it will pause, and then play for a second and then repause itself.
Same issue here... It happened to me since first nightly... I've lost hope... Will change to a sense based rom.

will not change, read the posts about the stock jb release sense based, we have the same problem. HTC is obviously sitting on its ass!! As usual.
Stuck with crashing NAV now.
Yep... I've tried several sense based roms since I originally posted this. I'm tempted to go back to stock ROM, but I'm Cincinnati Bell Wireless and haven't been able to find my stock one. I wasn't smart enough to back up the original ICS that came with the phone. Guess I'm stuck with whatever NAV can give me in the 15 seconds before it locks up each time.

Another EVO LTE user with same issue
Another EVO LTE user with the same problem. Almost immediately after opening to the navigation screen after selecting a destination, the app crashes. This seems to happen on 10 and 10.1.
Any fix yet?
Anyone know a fix to this yet?
Seems whether I run a stock-based or CM-based ROM I still get this issue if it's Jelly Bean.
The workaround has been to run Google Navigation in 2D mode... ALL the time...
Took some getting used to, but it's pretty silly to be stuck with this.
Long term... I'm moving to S4.
I have an occasional issue where my phone is dialing a number but I cannot hear the ringing, and once it connects there is no sound either way.
Sometimes if I reboot the phone will work again - but other times I need to reboot several times before it seems to start working again.
Obviously this is a huge problem as I use this phone for business...any suggestions on how I can diagnose this?

Which version of which build are you using? There was a well-documented (and very annoying) bug in CM for a while that affected in-call audio. This has been addressed in more recent builds and seems to have been eliminated. A little more information will make it easier to help you.

I've had this problem with all kinds of roms (stock, custom, aosp, etc). Sometimes it happened more often sometimes less. I've even had this happen to me on three different phones (SE x8, i9100 and i727r). Most often it happens with CM7, CM9 and CM10. But it did and does also happen with official roms. I'm on the Rogers JB now and it still happens, but relatively rare. This has been discussed before and with no result. Apparantly this is a common android issue..
Same issue talked about here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2164921
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2168656
I had such problem too and hadn't found the reason.
Anyway, after I flashed UXUMA7 radio, I haven't experienced it any more.
I just had this issue today. I've been running cm 10.1 m snapshot since Friday using the phone no problems. Last hour of work my wife calls no audio during call. I then wiped the cache partition and devik cache nothing. Came home did a full wipe and now its fine. I don't know don't know what happened. I think I may find a different ROM if this happens again

The last m release that I know of (I haven't been on straight CM for a few weeks) was released before a commit that fixed the no in-call audio bug. I'd read through the thread and look to see which nightly has been the most stable, if I were you. If you do decide to switch to another ROM I can personally vouch for Sons of Android or Slim Bean (onlychevys has an unofficial build out).
I have since switched to Embryo and, so far (hope I didnt just jinx myself) I have not experienced this issue.

Hi, This I my first post at XDA and also my first custom rom, so forgive me if I am less than detailed..
I recently flashed the above Slimbean Rom to my phone, barring some changes, it has been great, except for this one issue. The phone kept rebooting quite often (almost ~1 per day), and over the last week I have come closer to what I think is causing it.
During uninstall/updating apps, if the app in question is running, or in memory, it is quite likely that the phone will crash n reboot.
Is anyone else having this issue? Any way for me to fix it? Not a major issue for me, but still frustrating nonetheless..
