Hi,
I rooted my phone a couple of days back & upgraded to ICS using Hellfire v1.8 rom.
Since I was getting lags, I also got the flak0's lag fix.
I have started facing an issue the phone would freeze post a long call on the phone screen, I can't even get it to reboot by pressing 'lock+vol up' button. The only way is to remove the battery & put it back.
I saw a similar issue seen in this thread from partzman2:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=28342782#post28342782
But unfortunately, I am unable to comment on the thread as I don't have enough posts in my name. I searched the forums for this issue, but couldn't find a solution.
Any help is appreciated.
My sincere thanks to dev folks
Just wanted to take a moment to thank the dev folks who put in a lot of work in creating these roms/mods - experience is so much better, I can't even begin to explain.
I have had g2x for more than 14 months now & I had been running stock froyo 1st & then GB (2.3.3) - the experience was so bad, that I used it only for making phone calls or occasional emails, as i couldn't even browse or do anything w/o hitting some problem or the other. Even phone calls used to crash at times.
After updating to ICS, I haven't stopped using the phone be it browsing, watching you tube videos, trying new apps, emails etc, with occasional phone calls .
Again, thanks a lot for so much hard work, its really appreciated.

Hi, welcome to XDA :fingers-crossed:
I have some sort of sad news for you. In general-- ICS on the G2X isn't really stable right now. A lot of rom's have problems with lag after a few weeks, graphical errors, rebooting, and phone calles (as you mentioned). I'm not sure exactly how to fix your problem, but I had it too. I couldn't find a suitable fix, so i went back to Cyangogenmod 7 (gingerbread)
The latest nightly (newest build uploaded on their server) is available here: http://download.cyanogenmod.com/?type=nightly&device=tenderloin
If you are NOT using the march 2012 baseband, flash "old_baseband.zip". I am looking for the file (not sure what thread it is in).
What baseband are you one?
Also, If you must try ics, i suggest Owain's build 77. It's one of the most stable I've found so far.
I'll update post soon.

Thanks for the info. Actually, I went through quite a bit of dev threads before deciding to go with ICS - I was quite curios about its features & was ready to take the risk.
Only thing is that owain's recent 79 build seemed to have quite a bit of issues from the posts, & hellfire seemed a bit old/stable, so went with that. I didn't consider using old owain's builds (which might be an overlook from my part).
Is there a way I can find what I might lose (& possibly gain), if I switch to owain's 77 build?
I am using Jul15, 2011 baseband & kernel is 2.6.32.59-CM9-faux123-050.
Is there a better baseband/kernel that I should try?
I switched the kernel to harsh kernel & I feel that the speed has improved, but "freezing on a call randomly" issue still exists. Also, it crashes & reboots once in a while but I still feel that its worth all the pain as now I am actually able to make use of the phone.
Blazing Angel, did you find the latest baseband which I can try using?
Another bug I found is that I cannot really configure the lock screen buttons/shortcuts - as in adding a an app to be able to accessed from the lock screen like we do for camera. I see the option of changing this in setting but it doesn't persist when I try to change it.
Anyone seeing this?

The latest baseband is march 2012. To update, you need to install Tmobile's V21Y update.
Follow this guide
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1674901
Note: If you install this, and try to use a rom other than CM7 7.2.0, you need to flash owains New_baseband fix after flashing a rom from here

Hi just want to add info with new baseband the bluetooth doesn't work.

some of that i experienced my self , most of the times the camera and hdmi port is sacrificed in the g2x
Thanks for the info guys. Say my gps works/locks already (takes a bit of time though) with the hellfire ICS, is there anything I get by flashing this new baseband?
Does it or would it fix the random freezing on calls by any chance?
Basically, I read the instructions & it seems that I'd have to go back to stock, unroot & then re-root + reflash + restore my apps etc - seems like too much if I am not getting something out of it.
If it doesn't add much value, then I will consider doing it once another stable version of hellfire or owain's rom is released..
BTW, did anyone experience the lock screen config issue I posted in my earlier post - basically I can't add custom short cuts to the lock screen, there is an option to do this in the settings but they dont stick (I am on hellfire v1.8 right now)

Is there a particular ROM that is a fully functional, cut above the rest, must-have custom ROM? Looking to root my G2X, but I was wondering if it was even worth it at this point (aside from getting rid of bloatware).
At this point, probably Bionix 2.
I say Bionix 2 eventually. For right now I don't think there is a very "feature-rich" ROM that is stable enough for true everyday use. Right now we're limited to stable ROMs that remove bloatware and optimize the software.
I am currently using EaglesBlood 1.0.4 Froyo and am very happy with it.
Is there a ROM that fixes the problem with frequent data disconnections? I can't do anything that involves streaming, including Slacker, without the phone constantly losing its connection.

Maybe thats a problem with the 4G network? I live in between Milwaukee and Chicago, so its shaky at best. I average around 800 kb/s (pathetic) but the closer I get to either city and it starts to take off (6 mb/s is my all time high IIRC) A friend (who is also a tmobile rep, so take this with a grain of salt) mentioned that t-mobile is revamping their 4G network and coverage should be much much better in our area around the end of summer.

I'm glad thats not just happening to me. Are you losing mobile connection or WiFi connection of data? Honestly it happens to me all day everyday... All connections just get locked out, anywhere from 2mins to 10mins.
None of the kernels/ROMs are working like you expect. Some say they do but if you're like me and use data, sms, mms, phone, email and gps then you're SOL. because one if not more of those things are going to just not work or cut in and out on you. So play around if you have self control to not destroy your phone into a thousand pieces.
I'm trying EagleBlood now...after I charge this thing I mean. lol
Eaglesblood 1.04 GB is absolutely perfect so far.
I would say Bionix 2 is on its way, CM 7 still needs a lot of work to be a stable daily driver. Haven't tried any others, but too many issues it seems, on any of thse roms for it to be classified as "far above the rest".
Im using the leaked 2.3.3 ROM and so far have had no issues, works like a charm.

You got a source you can point to?
...and say you're on a leaked 2.3 would your device auto-recognize that a 'newer version is available' if they push the update? Probably not huh...
I would say any of the custom roms are more stable than stock INCLUDING CM7. Honestly, I have no idea why some people are still saying CM7 is not a daily driver. I'm pretty picky and I find it to be damn near perfect now. It had plenty of issues on the first nightly, but by #11 or so, it had everything major worked out, and by #18, even the minor stuff has basically disappeared.
For me is EB Froyo 1.04

Well think about it.. say it DID detect that auto update... you wouldn't want to auto update your rooted G2X with an official from from T-Mob that would UNROOT your phone anyway. When that release comes we're all going to wait for the devs to do their thing on it and then update... if other custom roms are ready yet that is.

>Well thats exactly why I mentioned it. This is my first droid and first time getting my hands dirty in Linux. I have a background in windows scripting so there's a little learning curve but Im picking it up quick. I dont know if they typically "push" these updates or if it's user initiated.
Anyway I just flashed the leaked version of GB 2.3 and it's totally solid... feels like butter, so smooth and much more feel (you'll see what I mean). The the leaked version had signed release keys which is *usually* indicative of a publishable version... meaning this very well may be the actual release.... just leaked The baseband hasn't been updated so no super goodies yet and the kernel is the same as stock but here's a start. I think THIS is a good page to link to since it gives the detailed root/download/install instructions for you folks that get unsure of yourself at every step
*EDIT*= Just noticed something... In the link follow all the relevant instructions. One thing I disagree with and advise otherwise is the "ROM Manager > Install ROM from SD Card"... this has a few potentials for failure and just isn't reliable enough to recommend. I've had ROMs not load or not update and you just open an unneeded potential for problems. When you get to that step do this instead: Open ROM Manager and select "Backup Current ROM"... your device will reboot and backup etc.. Once its done and restarts go back to ROM Mgr and select "Reboot In Recovery" and from there you should choose "Install from zip"... the UP and DOWN Volume keys move the cursor and the Power button pressed once is 'select'... just move slow so you dont accidentally hit the power button on the wrong option. If you do it this way your potential for success is superior.
**Again read all disclaimers and notations associated with modifying your device and do so at your own will. Damaging consequences could always occur.**

CM7 nightly #99 seemed to be the most stable for my g2x so far. But I've had a bunch of problems with #101. I'm going to try Bionix (really hope rc2 comes soon) but I will likely revert back to CM7 as soon as its stable.
Hey people,
This is for us Wind phone users.
SFB is to bring the phone back to a pre-OR rooted state correct?
So we have one for our phones?
If someone has an 2.1 nandroid of just after they rooted and OR installed.. I would really like it.. I think I lost my original.
James
Here's the Stock Wind ROM.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=20930893&postcount=59
thank you! I did not find that post in my searches.
I tried to load some of these fake ICS like rom builds last night and crashed the phone.
So I had to go back to stock.. used the Brightpoint SBF .. worked fine, and you know.. after all the playing I have done with the phone.. it was simple and FAST.. but then quickly 2.1 eclair became too simple and I remember why I am playing with ROMS
James
Which ROMs are you playing with? I agree, 2.1 is just not developed enough but 2.2 seems to be perfect for this device. I've played with the CM6 Rom (which would give me random freezes) and the Bravo one (which I'm currently using and is my personal favourite).
you need to keep an eye on the apps you have running in the background
that's why you experience those random slow downs, it doesn't actually freeze
unless you really mean freeze as in you need to wait for more than 5 minutes and still not back to normal and need to take out the battery to reboot
because if it's so, then i don't have that problem
Thanks for the rom I need this.
CM6 was the first I installed and I can't rule out the possibility that it slowed down on me but bravo seems more stable and more polished, like if the phone came stock with it I probably wouldn't try anything else. Not a lot of eye candy, but our device simply doesn't have the hardware to be so pretty. Plus im not eager to use roms that don't use our hardware (buttons, leds, etc.)
Bravo is a really good ROM, no need to apologize.
Hmm I didn't mean to sound like I didn't appreciate CM6. I can understand why so many like it, and I am glad there are people who are willing to give some time to make our phones even better than the day we bought them.
I want to give the miui rom a try too. Can anyone comment on its functionality(especially other Wind users)?
Sent from my modded Herotab C8. (genesis) using XDA App
I find that the MIUI rom is a tad slow and unresponsive. The good news is that just about everything works. Lack of memory causes frequent slowdowns and crashes though.
Personally, I've had trouble getting WIND 3g working on everything but CM6, miui and bravo... I don't know why.
hey guys... my question is twofold:
1) i find all the nandroid, sbf, everything a bit confusing... and im just wondering how to use this wind stock rom to bring back my phone to the original wind rom, is it as simple as putting the file into the Openrecovery/Updates folder and booting into Open Recovery and Applying the update? or will just doing that mess things up?
2) a few months back i installed the cm6 rom for xt720, since then ive had huge problems with the radio - such as not being able to make calls or send texts. calls and texts will usually eventually work - depending on where i am, but i have to try them several to several dozen times before they do. i checked out my radio baseband and it is not the same as it should be for wind. will reflashing to this stock wind rom reset my baseband as well? i tried using the baseband update from this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1241685) to reset the baseband, but it didnt actually change it.
thanks for anyone who can answer these (noobish) questions
Not sure if you got a reply or not..
With the original ROM you need to use an SBF - I have it, it has been posted here.
Search and you will find the tools you need to re-flash - you need a windows computer, and some software you can download - a clean original ROM cannot be flashed by OR because OR is not in the phone originally.
2. YES putting the phone back to original will be truly original.
James
Well everyone, since my KANG thread in the development section has become a discussion thread since official CM nightlies started again, I've decided to redirect the discussion to here. I'm going to ask the thread in the development section to be closed, so it can stop taking up space there...instead we'll take up space here! Lol. But anyways I want this to basically be a continuation of the old thread...you can talk about your G2X questions, comments, problems, etc. here. This will be especially geared toward CM-related problems, but all G2X-related topics are welcome here I hope that everyone will continue to help each other out, and of course I'll monitor the thread to help as much as I can and research things if necessary. Enjoy!
This isn't necessarily CM-related but I guess it is in a way. I have been trying out EB's build 1 of ICS and honestly for the most part it works great already. The only big glaring issue (that actually made me revert back to Gingerbread today) was the incoming call problem I've seen reported elsewhere that when you try to answer a call, your ringtone restarts and it doesn't appear to actually pick up.
As for the G2X in general, I'm a firm believer that most common issues have been strictly software-based, which makes the resources we have here on XDA something like miracle workers if you think about it.

Quick question, if I am already running Arcee's ICS ROM would I need to do a full wipe and loose the way I have my phone configured or can I just wipe cache/dalvik cache and flash on top of Arcee's??

As it is always said, it is best to do a full wipe. You never know what issues may stick behind or get caused by not doing a full wipe, but give it a shot and report back and hopefully you don't have issues.

CM Nightly 226/Unnamed & Kernels
Recently transitioned back to CM from MIUI. Anyone try out the newest 226 (unnamed) Nightly yet? I'm still rocking the CM7.1.0.1 Stable, but for kernel flashing purposes, I'm trying to decide on a nightly.
I've used Faux123's UV/OC kernels, but seem to have lost my copy of his v0.4.3 (long term CM7.1.0.1 support). So, the newest v0.4.8 and T15 or ELF Trinity's won't work with mine. I know chip's vary, but mine seems to not like even the ELF Trinity kernel (which has worked for a few peeps running CM7.1.0.1).
Anyway, the breakdown of my ramblings are:
1. Anyone try CM Nightly 226/Unnamed?
2. Anyone happen to have a copy of Faux123's v0.4.3 kernel (CM Battery Version, not the DS driver) lying around? Or a compatible Trinity (preferred, actually)?
Eh, I know #2 is more wishful thinking. I'm mostly interested in anyone's experience with Nightly 226/Unnamed.
Ah, good to be back on XDA and CM, at that. I rolled on MIUI for way too long. Nice GUI & the customization was awesome, but man is that sucker a memory hog! Not to mention the random reboots and screen freezes... I should have never left my good ol' CM. Hindsight and all...
The only issue that I ran into with cm7/cm9 is the low microphone. I know this has been brought up in the past, but has been ignored as well. Some users claimed that it only happen to certain phone, but I'm almost certain that the issue lies within the rom. I do hope someone can shed some lights on this, cause i do miss using CM7.
long story short, i have a wiped g2x. power button is a ***** to turn on to the point that my finger tips are sore from trying to get it to boot into recovery since last night. i can only seem to get 2 different screens trying to do this:
a) the lg boot animation which promtly freezes as the phone has been wiped & i probably haven't held the volume down button
b) the s/w screen used for flashing a recovery, etc
the phone is not mine but trying to help someone out. is there a timing to releasing the buttons? seems that when it goes to the s/w screen, lg appears for only about a second and then straight to that one. any help would be appreciated.
edit: posted it here only because i'd been following the old thread which led me to this one. i was trying to update to the latest while this happened. i started a similar thread in q&a so if it doesn't belong i''ll remove it, thanks
I've been in a loop like this before. Make sure you have done a battery pull. I think the key is not to hold the volume down button so long, and then be patient for recovery to load, it takes longer than expected in this situation.
Good luck.

I agree, this is by far the most annoying bug and the only "show stopper" I can think of on CM7. I do not think it's a 'phone-by-phone' thing, because if I flash to stock or Weapon G2X, my mic volume is fine. It's only on CM/CM-based ROMs, such as MIUI. I can't count the number of times where people have told me to "speak up" until I'm practically yelling into my phone. I think there's a bug with noise cancellation that causes it to be quieter than it should be.

GetRIL went the other way for my phone (Wind Canada P999), recommending v11h. Any notes re: the different builds?
Hi guys. I just picked up a used G2x off of craigslist, assuming it was going to much better than my Optimus T...not so much. The phone is great, but it's got two major issues I can't stand:
1. it randomly reboots all the time. Drives me insane.
2. The phone apparently makes a lot of odd noises (according to my girlfriend), i'm going to just label this bad "call quality".
My phone is on 2.3.4 official rom, v21y software, and has the March 2012 baseband.
I've been digging through piles of threads, and most of them are from last year. I can't find anything that suggests how to fix the random reboots. I can't handle it. Any help here would be greatly appreciated.
As for the bad call quality, I found this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1776843
and there's three possible basebands. I think I'm on the latest one (March 2012), but is there one that's better for call quality or newer?
Any help with these two things would be great. I'd just like to make this thing useable for a couple months til I get the S3.
Thanks,
Gunnar
PS: I already did a ton of searching, so please don't give me the whole noob speech about using the search button. Thanks.

There is no fix for it. It just happens. Some it happens less with, some it happens more with. However, I've been able to minimize mine and actually haven't had it at since I've went to CM 7.2 Official with Faux123 Version 52 Kernel. This works VERY well for me and I really like the phone now once all of the problems are eliminated. This entire setup works on the new baseband too so no worries there. Not sure if you are rooted and into flashing ROMS but that is the setup has worked best for me. I tried stock and then Weapon G2x but none of them remedied the problem until I flashed CM 7.2. I still had it occasionally with other Faux123 Kernels but since the release of Versions 51 and 52 I have not has one single random reboot or shutdown.

Thanks,
Gunnar

Well... If you did a search.... *ducks* Sorry.. J/K
Like others have said, you'll find sanctuary in using one of the CM 7.2 ROMS that are currently available. They are GingerBread 2.3.7 ROMs, that are upgrades from stock 2.3.3 / 2.3.4. Since you are on the current baseband (March 2012) I would decide if Bluetooth Calling is valuable to you. If it is, then DO NOT UPGRADE to a CM7 / CM9 ROM. Bluetooth Calling breaks when you use any of the CM ROMS with the new baseband (unless this has very recently changed).
Alright, I guess I'll give CM 7.2 a shot once I get up to college and get moved in tomorrow (along with that kernel you mentioned). The thing is, eventually this phone is gonna get unlocked and sold on eBay, so I just wasn't sure if I could fix any of these problems or if I should just get rid of it now...
I don't bluetooth calling, so that isn't an issue.
Does CM 7.2 alleviate any of the pops/bad call quality? And as for that Faux123 kernel, I found the thread but I can't find version 52, only 51, is that good enough?
Thanks,
Gunnar
If you go with hellfire phoenix it's cm7.2 based with extra goodies baked in.. and it also already has faux kernel baked in.. Im running it right now and it's awesome... Although I did flash faux 048 kernel today, had some weird issue with wifi on and my phone overheated in my pocket and shut down on faux 052 kernel. Never happened till I had wifi on. Now running 048 and it's smooth as butter..

Alright, I may give that a shot. Do you have any random reboots or any other problems with it besides the overheating?

no, no reboots or anything like that. just overheated that one time.. the 048 kernel is on this page, post #4044.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1420972&page=405
just remember to go to settings-applications-developement and check stay awake while charging.. this prevents the overheat issue while charging that faux kernels have.. enjoy!! oh and you will also need the new BB fix if your on v21y..
Here are the Faux Kernels.
LG-P999 is our model. Also if you go with CM make sure you get the CM versions of the Kernel.

What does BB fix stand for (I'm guessing baseband)? I feel like such a noob when it comes to android...I can flash an xbox 360 and do anything I want on iOS...but seriously Android is the land of the unknown.
It's flashable .ZIP that you to flash with any G2X rom to make it usable with your baseband version. For instance, I have the march 2012 baseband and if I don't flash the fix I get pops and feedback during a call.
This thread has combined them all into one post:

Hey guys, been a fan of XDA for years, infinite amounts of knowledge here it seems, and I know nothing. While I could spend years reading all the posts and searching, I figured some of the more knowledgable members may be able to answer a couple quick questions without giving me TOO big of a hard time.
I have had my G2x for about a year which is running 2.3.4, March 2011 baseband. I used to own a G1 and a Motorola Cliq and had experimented with rooting it. I am looking for something new and different, as I'm kind of sick of regular old GB. There is so much knowledge here, and on some ROMs 100's of pages of stuff to read, which unfortuantely most of which I find confusing. I know nothing about baseband versions, radios, etc. I plan on researching a lot of these things, as thats obviously the only way to learn.
My Fiance and I both have the G2x, and are both needing to be hard reset and they're running slowly and the battery seems to be draining faster and faster. I planned to do a hard reset this weekend, but figured I may experiment with rooting and custom roms. If you guys can answer some questions for me, I'd greatly appreiciate it! I know that all this information is likely out there, although I feel completely lost and overwhelmed, unsure where to begin. I had the following questions.
If I decide to root the phone, and try different roms am I always able to "unroot" the phone and bring it back to factory just as it is now? Is this general rooting guide good for 2.3.4? Can I root without loading a custom Rom? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1594650
I had been noticing that with Hellfire Sandwhich, and EaglesBlood there are some known issues, like bluetooth I believe, but I'm having a hard time seeing what isn't working currently. I would like to try ICS, but want something stable where I'm not going to experience a lot of programs not working. I don't do a lot on my phone but would like all the little things to work. How would I find "current bugs" or something similar, as there are hundreds of posts I can't seem to find the information.
Is there a certain rom that most people recommend for ICS that is more stable, possible CM?
How common is it to completely brick your phone, if you're not an idiot and follow instructions?
I was told when I bought the phone that it would receive ICS OTA, but this seems debateable. Am I better off waiting to see if this happens, or what do you guys recommend?
I'm sorry this seems like a stupid post, and that I haven't done any reading, because I have, I'm just confused as hell. I REALLY appreciate everyone's help! I've always enjoying messing with phones, although there is just too much to it with Radios, baseband, kernels, all of which I know nothing about, and mean nothing to me at this point. THANKS guys!
That guide will work for you. The good news is that the G2x is close to impossible to brick (it can be done, but definitely takes some talent). NVflash can be used 98% of the time to fix your phone.
As far as ROMs go, you have to experiment. Every G2x is different, and handle different setups differently. With that being said, Kwes's rooted stock ROM fixed a lot of the problems I had with my G2x. If you're bored with stock, most CM7 based ROMs are very stable. As far as ICS goes, Genesis was always my favorite, and the most reliable for me. I recently started playing with Paranoid Android CM9, and so far it works great, and provides a really unique experience.
Just read the first few posts of every ROM and it should provide you with most of the information you need to make a good decision. Hope this helps, and happy flashing!

I've tried pretty much every ROM available (save for quite a few GB ROMs and two JB ROMs), and I feel that the CM10 Paranoid Android is the smoothest ROM available. Every ICS ROM is smooth when you first install it (and I especially love all the features in Domination and Genesis), but after a week or so of use, your phone will start lagging again. With PA, lag is at a minimum. I was on CM9 PA last before getting sick of lag before switching to a GB ROM for a month or so, then decided to finally try out CM10 PA because I just missed flashing new ROMs and I was very impressed. CM10 version runs WAY better than CM9.
I just rooted my phone about 1 week ago and used the guide that the OP posted..everything worked great...I'm currently running hellfire 2.3 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1420972&highlight=hellfire+2+3) and freaking loving it...sooo much better than stock...basically follow the directions from the thread you posted and you'll be fine...
It depends on how important it is to you to have good picture quality with your phone. Even though this phone doesn't have the greatest camera, the stock camera is the best. If you flash to a CM ROM the quality is horrible. I love the performance of CM, but the camera quality was a deal breaker for me.
I ended up trying some stock 2.3.3 roms, but I have ended up back on my rooted stock running 2.3.4 with some tweaks from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1806868&highlight=tweaks and I am running faux's 14b2 kernel. With these two things my phone runs really good.

Do you have a link to the CM10 Paranoid Android you're referring to? I was able to find http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1891480 which says it's CM10, although says alpha and hackfest stating it's buggy. The other version that I found was CM9. Is this the version you're saying is the smoothest?

That's the one. It's no less buggy than any ICS ROM if that's the flavor your going for. CM10 is smoother than CM9. At least in my experience. Does anyone else want to chime in?
The only thing that took me back to CM9 was the battery drain issue on CM10.
On a different note: my phone only likes stock ROMs, but I recent found out about Weapon a New Clip, and it is pretty sweet, and just as reliable as anything else I've ever used

CM10 Paranoid looks soo beautiful and I'm really tempted to try it out, but I have a really good thing going on right now with the hellfire...it's super stable and smooth plus I have a ics theme on it so that keeps things fresh for me. I do have one question for those on CM10 Paranoid. Is it stable enough that you can run the 4.2 gapps or any themes/launchers on it??

I know I tried it. Not a whole lot of difference. I had my wife's stock g2x to do a side by side comparison. I was hoping it would be better.
Unrooting and bringing back to stock.
Hey guys, I rooted my phone and installed Hellfire sandwhich about a month ago. The rom seemed to run good at first, and progressively get slower. I just picked up a Nexus 7 and have no desire to run custom roms on my phone anymore as the tablet has all the bells and whistles, therefore at this point i want to bring my phone back to original condition.
I used this guide to root my phone - http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1594650 and installed HFS from there. I am looking at threads to unroot and some of them are using ADB. The first thing that I did is to load my Nandroid backup from when I oringinally rooted my phone, and I am receiving the message saying "Checking MD5 sums...MD5 mismatch!". I have gone to this thread- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=714114, but I am unable to access my phone via ADB, as it's saying "Error: Device not found". I have tried to boot into CWM and plug the phone in there, but appears that all my drivers are not loading - http://puu.sh/1JH8J and it's still saying device not found. I have tried enabling USB debugging, as well as turning it off. When I plug the phone in, I only have the option of "Media Device (MTP)" or "Camera (PTP), no "charge only" option under "USB Computer Connection".
I am unsure what to do at this point. I have installed the "LGUnitedMobileDriver S4981MAN38AP22 ML WHQL Ver 3.8.1" drivers and still receiving the same error. Sorry if this has been addressed, as I'm sure it has, but can someone point me in the right direction. Thank you!

OP have you tried an MIUI based ROM? That's always been a bit of a different experience for me.

I think Marie Antoinette said, If they don't like Gingerbread then let them eat cake, or something similar.
