Using whirleyes work yet again but I may try and setup some decent easy to use scripting to go with it.
I'll make a package of essential things like extra modules, init.d and scripts soon.

Hey lukensteinz,
When you get that all put together, I'll included it in my OC'ing [GUIDE] for ICS. Sooner, rather than later, the guide thread will be obsolete in the fact that the thread was based the on GB's kernel. I'll keep an eye on this thread, if your planning on posting it here, or wherever it might pop up!

UPDATE 4.10.11 - Moving my learning curve towards a more user-biased concept - see x99percent or scaryghoul for GREAT kernels!
OP Here - http://romrepo.info/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=20
WARNING! Will not have wifi working and will not work properly on cm nightlies 31+, newest MIUI, Evervolvs new release may still not have the new video drivers. See original link for details.
Git: https://github.com/smoothtaste/speedy-gb
Proof of concept, with my sd reader fried I need a bigger test base to see if its going in the right direction and actually being used by end-users. If anyone is up to helping me with merges and such while I'm stuck in the middle of nowhere it'd be pretty sweet
Original goal: bring an OC/UV kernel to the table for 2.3 aosp roms with proper smartass governor implementation *as per x99percents interpretation. Then as kernel matures implement into aosp build (A few of my fellow users have agreed to or already are working on this.)
Git cloned toastcfh, not used to having to list things publicly so my git is sloppy. ENTIRE kernel base is toastcfh. I just cloned him a few moments too early, cause the video drivers are already outdated.
Inserted freq/voltage tables found in x99's sense kernels. Also implemented x99s interpretation of the governors, great work.
Very special thanks to scaryghoul for repeatedly telling me how far too far really is, for giving me a couple great scripts (which I then misused, hence broken wifi.) And for just being a cool mofo who knows some shiz.
UPDATE 4.10.11 - Moving my learning curve towards a more user-biased concept - see x99percent or scaryghoul for GREAT kernels!
You have been warned, I am teaching myself at my own pace and there might not be ANY reason YOU should use this. Unless you wanna help me get better, of course.
REMEMBER! Not cm7 31+ or newest miui. Will have a VERY hard time scrolling.

Changelog!
V.0.0.fail
Merged with toastcfh 3.27 - integrated x99percents freq tables and governor patches. Made into flashable zip thanks to scaryghouls script - and in turn destroyed wifi functionality. My mistake :X
If anyone does this on the correct roms I'm looking for battery life and performance infos. If we get a lil attention, we'll go ahead and bring the public release up to date.

Yeah I did the other day. Like I said my Shift for personal use has crapped out, no sd card mounting anymore. XD - Dunno why I left my spare at home.
If people like the implementation and performance on older builds I'll update it. Like I said before, ANY guidance and/or advice is GREATLY appreciated.

Guys,
If you haven't seen the thread yet, they've figured out how to get Google Now, normally just for Jelly Bean, working in ICS.
Initially they had it working without the voice features, then someone hacked in a half-attempt which sort of worked.
As of this morning, they've figured out how to get the entire shooting match working, though from what I can tell, there doesn't seem to be a way to get it to work on the Atrix 2 due to space limitations on our /system partition. I was hopeful one of the more knowledgeable devs could take a poke in the thread and see if they could wrangle a way.
Here is the thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1747224&page=246
Someone in the thread talks about symlinks to sd-ext, but frankly that makes me a little nervous. Anyway, I'd be curious to see what you all could do with it. As it stands I have been using the original .apk in the OP of that thread without voice for a week or more now and its pretty slick.
I believe they only got this to work with ROM's based off of AOSP, which ours isn't. I saw this as well, but I chose to forego until I hear more bases working.

again, as i said, the initial apk works fine.... albeit without the voice piece... they now have the voice piece working assuming you paste in a bunch of libs and such... again, read the end of the thread where they have posted new info...
I got it to work!!!! HELLL YEA! Works perfectly! Just follow the directions from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=29635284&postcount=2439 and then replace the velvet apk from here!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=29635290&postcount=2440
I had to push with adb though to get it all working!
I am making a backup of my system that you can probably use...
I've been using it for a couple days. I find the voice search fails more than works. I get retry or that weird bell mostly. I am on scv7 though. I have not tried it with stock. Conceptually it's awesome. I just think I would use it more if it worked in notifications. Jelly bean notification + Google now would be sweet. Of course why not just the Google audio and visual
Implant. It fits nicely under the skin behind your right ear.

I might not have used the files in your second link unless the op was updated. Maybe I'll go fresh stock and try again tomorrow. Post your experience with it and let me know if you get the same retry and bells.

Yes. I'm gonna just try a fresh install tomorrow anyway because of unnecessary tinkering on my part.
That thread blew up. Sooo much to read now its dumb.
Found the leak a week ago and we're already trying to get jelly bean apps working on it. Are we sure the CIA didn't release android to keep us occupied and docile.

I appreciate you giving it a shot. You had plenty of space in /system to get it installed? It seemed awfully close to filling that partition up for me.
Are you on stock 4.0.4?
Again, i'm nervous to risk filling up that partition, especially without a solid backup or anything. Color me cautious.
If you haven't tried this yet, give it a whirl.
It is still in ALPHA/BETA stage, so please be cautious.
I have found it to be VERY helpful in most cases. I have tried a lot of the different functions and have had NO problems.
The init.d verification tool is REALLY cool.
I have nothing to do with this tool, please refer to the OP for questions.
It is a FREE apk that is on Google Play as well.

Remember, this is still in the ALPHA/BETA process, so don't mess around with it unless you know what your doing.

Hello!
I've been using Pimp my Rom (Beta) for a few days and its doing great. Just today i enabled the Force launcher in memory and reboot. But an hour already passed but my phone is still rebooting.. Please help!!
It's a good app but it's been in alpha/beta stage for almost two years now I believe.
But I haven't used it in a while.
Still as I said it is a good app and my favorite for a very long time when I was crack flashing.

So everyone knows that situation we are in with our kernel.... At the moment, its DECENT, but it is extremely outdated. Although it is enough to keep things working at the moment, who knows what may happen with future OS releases... We have had no official support since the days of gingerbread. Myself and a handful of other developers have been making changes/additions when needed and to the best of our abilities, but with such an outdated kernel, it is getting harder and harder to make necessary changes to work with the existing source.
As of right now, this will be a two man project... Myself and rwaterspf1. Those of you who are not familiar with rwaterspf1, that is the member that recently donated his infuse to me. I got to talking with him and it turns out that he is not a stranger around kernel development in other areas. I am currently talking with a couple other people and may get some assistance from them as well.
We will be attempting to add support for the infuse4g into the Aries kernel. - Which is a updated and supported kernel
This is DAY ONE, and nothing has been done yet. This is the very beginning and for those of you that are not familiar with kernel development, there is alot that goes into it, so do NOT expect this to be completed with a day or two. This will be an ONGOING development thread.
As a disclaimer, I want to make sure that everyone is aware that this may NOT work at all and may just be a huge fail. We will try our best and from the looks of it, I think its definitely something we can figure out.
This is a WORK IN PROGRESS, and we ask that you all support us even in the event of failure.
Progress can be found -> HERE
Efforts as of 4/28/2013
* MTD partition table and file system files added into kernel
* Touchscreen drivers copied over
* Added video driver files and edited existing files
* Edited modem files for infuse compatibilities
* Infuse edits added to sec_jack file for compatibility
You can find rwaterspf1's profile from HERE
There will be numerous benefits if we are able to do this... And hell... who knows.... it may even fix up the 720p recording issue in doing this... No promises though.
I'm willing to try. And I'm last to throw rocks as long as great effort is given. And seeing your roms, don't think you have any other mindset.

Unfortunately probably not, both HTC and touchwiz apps require there specific frameworks. They are tied to the framework so they won't run without it.

Thanks for that. Ill add that Google wallet to the op. I figured that I would kind of merge this off of that S3 thread since these will pretty much work on every phone anyway.
Ya know, i started development on a custom s3 rom for several weeks and then real life started to get in the way with my wifes medical issues and had to kind of loose interest on it for a bit. Just about everthing in this thread 'should' work on any single rom except for the touchwiz based apps since they require there specific framework to run. The HTC apps are the same although I havent added any yet that specifically require the HTC framework. Check the op of those threads though and anybody can post if they come across any with other dependencies that I missed. These have all only been tested and installed by me on the T999, the T-mobile galaxy S3.
