Is it possible to get normal android on the MiBox S rather than the Android TV OS?
failing that is it possible to get the normal play store?
I had a Minix X7 Mini which had normal android on it and I could do so much more with it. I got the MiBox S because there were no more updates for the X7 mini and I couldn't run a few favourite apps.
MiBox S android TV play store sucks.
after nvidia decided that every update they release should destroy another perfectly working feature, I am in the looks for a new streamer (currently lagging with NVIDIA SHIELD 2017)

HDR / HDR10 Dolby Vision compaitable
full support of audio bitstreaming passthrough (atmos/DTS-HD 3d aurora etc)
sleek design (wife demands)
original Netflix support
price is not an issue, HDMI 2.1 support could be a nice bonus but not mandatory.
the best option I saw was GT-King Pro but it's not native android tv UI, I was just wondering if theres a better alternative.

I am looking for a cheap Android stick which runs Android 11 or 12 (not Android TV but the normal Android meant for phones/tablets). All the Android sticks on Alibaba seem to run only Android TV OS.
There were such products way back in 2014, have a look at this link https://www.laptopmag.com/android-sticks. However I am unable to find any products now, looked on Alibaba, Amazon etc. I found 1 product on Alibaba but it runs Android 4 Kitkat. I am looking for Android 11/12.
Or is there a way to flash normal Android on Android TV boxes?
