[HELP] HTC G1 Rebboting with anything ROM FroYo 2.2

Hi Friends!
My HTC G1 Rebooting when i flash any rom's of Froyo 2.2.
See more details:
- HTC G1 (Black)
- Radio: G1-radio-2_22_23_02
- SPL: Death SPL
- ROM: Anything (Ex: CM6 RC1, CM6 RC2, Super FroYo 2.4, 2.6 and 2.8...)
- Recovery: AmonRA170cyan.img
My SD Card:
- SDCARD 7.4 GB
- 512MB EXT3
- LinuxSWAP 64MB
- Installation:
1) Wipe ALL
2) Repair EXT Partition
3) Flash ROM FroYo 2.2
4) Reboot
5) Works Great!
6) Reboot
7) ROM 100% Load!
8) In 30 ~ 40 Seconds...the HTC G1 Reboot alone!!!
What can i do?

I am having the same issues with the above ROMS. The only one that is working for me is Chromatic 4.1 - Give it a try!

Download this amazing rom(first link), wipe everything, repair EXT, flash it, then flash the second link and boot and everything should work amazing.

my solution is:
Go to Recovery mode
Run fix_permission
Reboot normal
And everything is Ok.

I also had this issues. What I did was to repartition the SD, not just wipe. Now it's working just fine.

Just let it reboot. Whenever I flash a Fro-Yo update or flash a theme for a Fro-Yo ROM, it reboots a couple of times then it will settle.

Greetings frustrated froyo users. I've been having similar problems with about every version I've tried, as well. However, in my case it only seems to be when I adjust the clock and move it forward. I did try one rom that seemed to cooperate with the clock thing, but I think that's only because for some reason I couldn't get a data connection. Have any of you experienced reboots after a clock adjustment?

i have exactly the same problem... cm 6 r1/rc2 is working fine though. but not so nice to use with that memory issues...

i did that. i also made a complete wipe. tried to wipe system and data although i dont know if it worked.
superatmel works for me if i come from a total wipe with wiping everything wich is possible.
It is said that apps2sd needs a reboot before enabling it. after the reboot im in a reboot cycle...

Yes, same here... after 2-3 reboot it will settle down and run fine.

Cyan said the random reboots are caused by a radio crash. I guess the radio crashes and the kernel cant keep up or something umong those lines. Since just about every froyo rom out there is based on cyan's they all have atleast a tiny problem. Atleast he knows what is causing it so he can fix it in the future.

I had exactly the same problem with my G1 when flashed CM6 RC1 and RC2.
After flashing RC2 system started normally, worked great. After a manual restart my G1 stucked in boot loops (i.e. after startup completion phone restart itself).
What I did to stop the bootloops was I made a call from another phone to my bootlooping G1 just after getting the lock screen, received the call for upto 1 min. After disconnecting the call my G1 did not self restart.
This is the practice I do to stop boot cycles every time when I switch off my phone for any reason to make my phone useable.
Please let my know If my idea works for anyone.

Nope it's a ROM, and it's amazing, been using it for a week now with no problems!
Couple of tweaks you need to make to it for fluidity and battery life:
In Developer options...
Tick "Force GPU rendering"
Change Window & Transition animation scale to 0.5
(To see the difference the Force GPU rendering setting makes just back right out of the settings after ticking/unticking it (Only takes effect after doing this) and go back into developer options then scroll up and down! )
In Advanced Wi-Fi
Change "Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep" to "Only when plugged in" (Battery was being rinsed on mine because of this, It may be different for you)

personally i love darkroom sound ultimate ROM at this moment
check darkroom site P920 roms section for it (i use another kernel for it only)

I'm waiting for a CM based on Kit Kat ROM patiently.

AFAIK there won't be a Kit Kat variant as there are no drivers for the TI hardware?

Testing it a for a few hours now and it's by far the fastest one..:victory:

i love the work acura have out in to this device he is the front in development to this phone but why is this extended partioning only as i that is on the P920 V30A EU open can't use it makes me a bit sad

You need to put the fix for the partitions! If you have europan partitions you need to put the fix for euro partitions in the other case for korean partitions!

What is the error's message? However i don't know in every case because i use the CWM recovery and i installed the rom and it worked fine on large partition! (for large partition you need to put the euro fix).

has good speed and works fine in General
but now i found out i have Low Volume in a call
i set Ear piece to max but still low volume
any one know a fix for this
i tested it with stock Rom and i have grate sound in Ear piece

Well is a little bug probably related on the baseband! On htcspain i think that there is a fix also for that problem! Or you can install the baseband from Acura that you can found on HTCSpain

i know that after flashing rom i need to flash euro fix but... i can't install rom... when formatting system during flash, i have partition error and everithing go down... then i can't boot system, i have to reflash bin file from lg flash tool

A full working transplantation of the Sony android Ui with all his features included!!
PREREQUISITES:
Due to the fact that Sony system partition is bigger than stock one of Umi Zero,the first thing we need to do is to expand it...don't worry,if you follow all the steps with care there is not risk ..
Ok,..let's start:
1) First of all you need a full charged battery and an external sd card (the process require time,and internal memory will be formatted during the process)
2) Download&Install my TwrpRecovery
INSTALLATION:
Download to EXTERNAL SD the 3 needed files:
1: "1500mbSystemPartitionExpanderPart1.zip"
2: "1500mbSystemPartitionExpanderPart2.zip"
(many tnx to @eryen for both)
3: "XperiaZero_020715.zip"
4) Using my TWRP RECOVERY MAKE A FULL BACKUP OF YOUR ACTUAL ROM AND INTERNAL MEMORY TO THE SD CARD...OR BETTER MAKE A COPY OF THEM ON YOUR PC TOO..(it will backup all your "vital" partitions that will permit you to restore your Imei,Mac address etc..)
5) Once YOU HAVE DONE THE BACKUP,enter in TwrpRecovery-"Settings" and Un-tick "Use rm -rf instead of formatting" (if ticked)
6) Now,in TwrpRecovery,click "install" and select "1500mbSystemPartitionExpanderPart1.zip"...wait 15/20 minutes until it finished,then reboot in recovery again,click "install" and select "1500mbSystemPartitionExpanderPart2.zip"......when it finish reboot in recovery again....
7) In TwrpRecovery-"Settings" tick "Use rm -rf instead of formatting",then "Wipe"-"Advanced Wipe" select: Dalvik Cache,System,Cache and Data.
8) FINALLY,without exit from Recovery click "Install" and select "XperiaZero.zip"...
fiuuuuu....
..Ok Now You Are On XperiaZero!!!!

Stock Sony camera and some his extension won't work well,but i've included a full working camera similar to stock one (i hope to fix it in the next days)

Don't worry,you can restore every backup you made before and install without problem any rom..but if for some reason you want go back to original partitions layout,simply flash a stock rom with Sptool, it will restore it.

And could you tell me how much bigger the system partition will be with this? (just for curiosity)

Yes it is,i got this new layout(1500mb instead of 800mb) from two weeks and i've used different rom/backup without problem(using my TwrpRecovery)

I follow all the steps but the result is not good. The device is locked on Zero logo.
Suggestion?

At witch step you are?..howewer to install the two partition tweaker zip you need to have it unmounted,to install the rom zip you need the system to be mounted...

..probably you have skipped some "tick/untick" try again,i personally tested the installation procedure before publish it and i'm sure it works...

It's rooted: su binary is installed,but if you need to menage apps permission you can install supersu from market..

Don't worry,it have excellent performance and battery backup....but as usual in the next days i will release a Superleggera version too (for barebone rom lovers as me)
Regarding the camera fix i suppose will be sufficient a simple fix zip

Pre-requisites:

3) /System minimum 1gb partition (Repartition your phone, before you flash this ROM).
4) SP Flash Tools & Stock rom (In case, If you are in trouble).
Procedure:
1) Put the downloaded MiuiV6_5.8.6.zip in sd card.
2) Delete any files from previously installed rom from sd card & phone storage (especially /android/data folder).
3) Reboot to Recovery using root apps or by pressing (PowerOn + VolumeUp) key combination.
4) Wipe /system, /data, /cache, Dalvik Cache, Android Secure using Advanced Wipe.
5) Install MiuiV6_5.8.6.zip
6) Don't reboot system, Wipe Cache & Dalvik Cache & Press Home button.
7) Immediately, Install the MIUI6_5.8.6_Patch.zip
8) Again, Wipe Cache & Dalvik Cache.
9) Reboot System.
10) 1st boot may take 3-5 minutes (Screen will be a boot animation not a Boot Logo. If you stuck at Boot Logo, then go to recovery & flash the rom again).

Fix is ready to upload, check the video app & let me know, because it's fc for me.
I checked for storage fix but, both stock & port ROM have same figures for fstab. So, sorry for that, as soon as it's fixed, I will upload the patch.

i am using this stock rom & i don't find any low sound or sd card as phone stogare problem... plz try this

Fix is ready to upload, check the video app & let me know, because it's fc for me.
I checked for storage fix but, both stock & port ROM have same figures for fstab. So, sorry for that, as soon as it's fixed, I will upload the patch.

i want to clarify one thing i am talking about the @sachin.r.fulzele g 5.7.9 miui rom,,,...till now i don't try the sachin.r.fulzele miui 5.8.6 rom
that i don't have any problem with miui 5.7.9......i will try the miui 5.8.6 rom tomorrow

audio fixed but default video app is missing, mxplayer solves but cant able to play video from gallery, not a big issue.
about mem swap, i extracted vold & sdcard bin files from MIUI5.3.31 ported by avi and replaced it. works well fr me. i hv attached a flashable fix.:angel:

I just want to know:
Does following problem from previous version (Ported by Avi) are resolved in this version:
1. Auto theme Changing
2. Fonts from themes were not working
3. Ram showing 1 Gb instead of 2Gb. ( I know its just showing 1gb but have power of 2gb)

I think it took out my final boot .. I also flashed couple of roms after this.. Still stuck on final boot setup..
Thought of changing the recovery.. Still no good.. Sp flash tool helps a lot..
Another thing i noticed was the Turkish language with many fcs .. I am a big miui fan .. Still wait for avi sir n our team to make it a more stable

the googleplay working perfectly in my phone
the rom dont buggy
I think
1) wipe all in TWRP (wipe/advanced wipe and check Dalvik, system, Cache, Data )
2) Reinstall Rom
3) Int he first boot up. In xaccount settings , select the other country.
Reply if it works.

Sure.
1. method: Make TWRP backup of the stock rom. (all data and app restorable)
2.method: Use SP Flashtool and flash stock rom from pc

Unfortunately no. Becouse u007 pro have diffrent chipset.
(u007=MT6580 ; u007 pro=MT6735 )

Welcome, rom works very well, I had to just turn off the screen soft keys, now it's time for more tests. I do not know it is possible to the middle button works as on the original rom, after holding the last show running programs - now opens google.

If you want the original keymap ,
1) replace keylayout folder (stock to port) in system/usr/
I not tested the method, but should work.
(If i will have some time i test it)

Unfortunately, after the copying of the original rom all of the buttons stopped working : o after the restoration folder rom chameleon also nothing worked. I had to restore the rom because no buttons work even power and vol up and down. Unless I did something wrong (I was copying the program es explorer)

I wonder whether that has changed an entry in the file build.prop with "qemu.hw.mainkeys = 0" to "qemu.hw.mainkeys = 1" has not caused a problem ?
