I am having the same issues with the above ROMS. The only one that is working for me is Chromatic 4.1 - Give it a try!

Download this amazing rom(first link), wipe everything, repair EXT, flash it, then flash the second link and boot and everything should work amazing.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=679135
http://chromatic.r00t.la/Releases/chromatic_fixarm9crashtest-signed.zip

my solution is:
Go to Recovery mode
Run fix_permission
Reboot normal
And everything is Ok.
Have fun !

I also had this issues. What I did was to repartition the SD, not just wipe. Now it's working just fine.
Hope it helps.

Just let it reboot. Whenever I flash a Fro-Yo update or flash a theme for a Fro-Yo ROM, it reboots a couple of times then it will settle.

Greetings frustrated froyo users. I've been having similar problems with about every version I've tried, as well. However, in my case it only seems to be when I adjust the clock and move it forward. I did try one rom that seemed to cooperate with the clock thing, but I think that's only because for some reason I couldn't get a data connection. Have any of you experienced reboots after a clock adjustment?

superatmel works for me if i come from a total wipe with wiping everything wich is possible.
It is said that apps2sd needs a reboot before enabling it. after the reboot im in a reboot cycle...

Hi Friend!!!
YEP!!! xD
Now...one question:
- You can include this FIX in your ROM's?
PS: I´m LOVE your ROM!
BIG HUG FRIEND!!!

Cyan said the random reboots are caused by a radio crash. I guess the radio crashes and the kernel cant keep up or something umong those lines. Since just about every froyo rom out there is based on cyan's they all have atleast a tiny problem. Atleast he knows what is causing it so he can fix it in the future.

Hello Friends
I had exactly the same problem with my G1 when flashed CM6 RC1 and RC2.
After flashing RC2 system started normally, worked great. After a manual restart my G1 stucked in boot loops (i.e. after startup completion phone restart itself).
What I did to stop the bootloops was I made a call from another phone to my bootlooping G1 just after getting the lock screen, received the call for upto 1 min. After disconnecting the call my G1 did not self restart.
This is the practice I do to stop boot cycles every time when I switch off my phone for any reason to make my phone useable.
Please let my know If my idea works for anyone.
Sorry for my bad English if I could not explain properly.

Here is another rom from nprussel you can test, it is still in beta stage,
there still are few graphic glitches like this(There is a fix for that now, see post 2),
the rom is very quick and stable tho, so i think it does not matter so much
Thank you nprussell for this great rom and Sanpei for your super kernel
You should look att the original thread for some of bugs and fixes.

Villain 4.0 beta2 v02 - Apps + dalvik 2 SD
MD5: b47d69e99f156512c66e77e888cd81f8
Changed from original:
Removed MmsZap, it probably eated battery and mms are working ok now by the way, so it is not needed.
In v02 new apps + dalvik 2 sd
In v02a old plain a2sd
WIFI,BT works. GPS works for me, please report. CAMERA works like in others.
Added Astro, Mount USB, Market Enabler, Quick System Info... my own ringtone
About the muting ringtone while ringing, you should turn of "quiet on pickup" in settings to fix this.
I noticed that pictures are shown in GMail
After install you are gonna see a "save scene" message,
to get rid of it simply go to "helicopter or what its name" view by pressing two times home button.
It is a bug caused by speed tweaks nprussel made to the rom, you are gonna see this screen just once.
For a better experience this is recomended (at least the first 5 steps)
Original thread said:
1. Nandroid Backup
2. FULL WIPE (Might work without if coming from Villain 4.0 Beta
3. Flash the ROM
4. Follow the setup wizard
5. When Sense has fully loaded, reboot.
6. Download Spare Parts from market and set transitions to FAST.
7. Restore/Install all apps, then reboot again> this should cache some of your apps, and speed up the system.

strange man, it takes some time to install tho, but it installed ok by me.
check when you make wipe ext, that it not say "make wit adb" or something like that, if it is so, try until it is ok.
Here is a link to Villain 4.0 beta2 v01
the difference is that, v01 has A2SD without dalvik and the MmsZap is still there. :/
Ok Dude, works fine now!
Just removed the battery and insert again and again.
Thanks!
I´ll tests now and post tomorrow
Another user reported the same problem on another forum, and only thing he needed to fix it, was full wipe and some patience u can try it too...

you can try the 02, if it works, great, it works good for me...

The HTC Setup forces close and everything turns black. I had swap 0, ext3 512 partition and fat32 for the rest.
Let me have a look into this. I'm just doing a Nandroid backup.

It is something to do with the modified Rosie.apk not launching after HTC Setup Wizrd. Will have a temporary fix in 15 mins while I work on the problem.

I tried installing the ExpressoBar Mod with Leedroid v1.4 and had the same problem. HTC setup stopped and had to force close it.
Looking forward to it, cheers.
The fix is quite simple PLUS it wilkl give you the option if you want to have default Sense look or Expresso. Just now I am uploading a .zip quick fix package but I will fix. The whole ROM will also be fixed and upload at some point today (really slow upload speeds here).
Temp fix uploaded. Now uploading ExpressoBar.
Wipe, install LollyROM v0.1.zip and temp_fix_LollyROM.zip. Reboot. (instructions on first page anyway)

PS: I prefer LeeDroid ROM. Can I actually apply the fix to LeeDroid ROM v1.4 and flash the ExpressoBar?
Yes, it should work since both are FRF91.
Everything now uploaded.
Fixed, and signed, v0.2 is uploading.
LollyROM v0.2 now uploaded. Install using the instructions on first page. If your coming from another HTC Sense Android 2.2 (with A2SD+) rom then Full Wipe may not be required.
I was using LeeDroid 1.4 but found it unstable so I thought of giving this a try. The ROM works and looks great as I flashed the additional ExpressoBar mod. About 140mb of free space at first boot and Apps2SD+ working great. So far had no problems. Recommended!

Most people have 3rd Party apps they use.
If options you need were removed,
this ROM may not be for you.
::: SD Setup :::
Swap
Fat
ext - optional - only has Froyo app2sd
::: TO INSTALL :::
- Do whatever you do for backing up, example: nandroid
- Wipe with this method:
---- While USB plugged to the computer,
---- run the bat in this post and format this way:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=6855422&postcount=3
---- to ensure full format, I also use AmonRa recovery wipe options
---- just to be safe
---- If you are comfortable in ADB, then just use it to run this command:
adb shell mount -a; rm -rf /system/*; rm -rf /data/*; rm -rf /cache/*;
---- You can skip the bat file if you do this
- Flash ROM ONLY
- Reboot Device
- After that, change whatever settings you would like. DO NOT INSTALL ANYTHING.
- Just Setup CM settings, wifi, etc (optional)
---- I like to enable wifi and put in my network key
---- so my wifi is going when the market begins
---- to sync my apps
- Reboot Recovey
- Flash GAPPS
- Reboot
- Unlock after reboot and you will be prompted with the Google sign in.
---- After unlock, I usually plug it in, have wifi enabled,
---- set it up under 'USB Debugging' to "stay awake when plugged in"
---- and leave it alone for a bit. This way, you aren't stressing out your system
---- while the market is downloading 100 apps at once lol
---- This is also why I reboot and setup PRIOR to installing gapps.
---- A reboot or three may be needed to ensure everything is settled in nicely
---- If you are wondering where your responsiveness is, look at your downloads
---- in the market, see if you are still syncing. If you reboot during some downloads,
---- you may need to cancel and restart them.
Fully Tested on my G1.
Current Phone Specs:
- Danger SPL
- G1-radio-2_22_23_02
- Dithering OFF (CM Options)
- 96mb Swap
- 512mb ext3 - just in case, this way, if I need an ext partition, I dont
-------------- have to re-format the entire card.
I am not responsible for any outcome
due to your use of this ROM in any way.
Use at your own risk.

Hey marlo, I have a problem. I've never modded my g1 before and decided to do this rom first off. I went back and rooted it and then installed amon ra recovery and did radio update to 2.22 and danger spl.
I flashed your rom through recovery and it booted up fine the first three times but for some reason now it wont stop rebooting. It gets to the home screen, "press menu(my bad) 'swipe' to unlock", for about a second or two and then screen fades as if I did a battery pull. Then boots right back up.
I'm going to try some things when i get home, in recovery, when I wipe before install, am I suppossed to wipe all options in that sub menu? Any help would be much appreciated! Thank you and all others in advance.
Alright still having the same problem. I loaded in recovery and wiped everything except the sdcard partition, which I dont have my sdcard partitioned, so I didnt want to do it and wipe my rom zip.
After wiping everything else I reflashed the rom from sd. And rebooted from recovery. Rom loaded up great and worked perfect on first boot for about an hour until I decided to reboot it to make sure everything was working great and it started again.
Will load up to "swipe to unlock" and once its done preparing sd card it fades like I did a batt pull. Help, please?
Ok, sorry I wasn't following forum rules. I didn't know the meaning of the term "search". I spent a good 45 straight minutes searching just now as well as searching earlier today, but you guys are right, it pays off. I had wifi on, and only after a reboot would it go into the wifi reboot bug because on first launch with no wifi on it would connect without rebooting.
Hey marlo, I have some questions about this build and about a stripped down version of android to run games. Answer on here if you like, but I'll PM you about it.
Sorry for the delay. Your bug may have something to do with cyanogen, or what I removed. CM has been known to do similar things.
I never experienced your scenario, but I'm not saying I doubt you.
Games ran fine for me, I played robo defense all the time.
Thanks for trying my version of CM.

CM6.1-Miui-Style - Rom - 32B/2708 Radio

This rom is based on CM 6.1 final.
Its been injected with the latest MIUI, during this process, many of the graphic features have been Ported.
Features:
- All the CM goodies
- Automatic Apps2sdext
- Low Memory Killer settings on Boot
- Base Cm, none of the non essential applications
- Base of the Google Apps, by this i mean all those files you need to use market and sync,CarHome(i didnt find it on the market),PassionOffice to handle attachments, the others are Download-able from the market, so no need for them.
- Transparent GenieWidget, androotfile manager
- MiUi-Music!
- Original MiUi Bootanimation, scaled down ofc.
- Pershoot's kernel 2635.9,oc,uv,xtra,ram,fp#120810
- Custom Host file, ad-blocker
Req.
-87+ Mb on the system partition
-Ext partition 2/3/4 for apps2sdext
-Radio: 2.22.27.08|2.22.28.25
-SPL:1.33.0013d(Dream/Sapphire )/1.33.0013 (Sapphire ONLY)
Note, you could run this rom on 32A or old radio with 32B devices if you flash another kernel, recommended in that case: 32B-NON-2708 | 32A
How to install:
Start with a full wipe!
Flash it like any other rom.
Let it boot up, don't try to start to set it up till, at least, when the screen goes black.
If you get a LatinIME error Reboot and resume the setup from there, should go away.
On the SDcard you will find the adw launcher backup files, load them up, or make your own custom look. Bare in mind once you flash this rom, if you had other ADW back-ups on the sdcard root, they will be gone.
-Run fix_permissions first of all
-To configure the lowmemory killers run this: from ADB or Terminal:
a2sd lowmem-moderate|lowmem-optimum|lowmem-strict|lowmem-aggressive|lowmem-extreme|lowmem-ultimate|lowmem-default
-pick one of the options, im using lowmem-aggressive, looks pretty good

Tried installing, no LatinIME error but I'm getting fatal errors on com.android.phone. I'll reboot and see if that can fix anything. Tragically, if I can't get over this very large error, I may not be able to play.

Did you check out the recovery.log after install? anyway, im uploading another version with a autokernel included, for non Trout.
testing now, will give feedback. just had a random reboot..
EDIT: ok no reboots so far rom is fast responsive and stable! will use it a couple days.
I flashed it with no problems but the boot animation wont show...only the G1 screen stays
Is it really Automatic a2sdext?
I found the ext is not auto mounted.
And I have to set the theme to stock_black to make colour appears correctly.

It is auto, unless ofc for some reason it cant mount your sdext partition. Well you just need to change the clock color, that bar is transparent because thats how it was in the MIUI rom.
@mahroze what radio& spl do you have ?
I can't get the swap to work automaticaly. Generally swap works, but after each reboot I must enable it and set swappiness.

You can't ? what happens
tried out this ROM and seems to be working great. After a wipe and still get all my apps back from ext. I was actually expecting a ported MIUI framework but it was just a pimped out ADW Launcher.
Went back to MT3G AOSP 2.2.1 ROM. Getting all the stability that I need.

well, i didn't change anything in adw launcher(i simply think its the best launcher), so yea what MIUI you see here is from framework-res. I did try to mess with the launcher but for what ever reason he didn't like any theming, plus the other rom has a adw theme with miui icons, no point in making another

I can tell by the Screenshots that this is a really good ROM, and I would like to check it out, but... I have the U8120
Is there any chance to see this ROM compatible with my device? Or is it just going to stay for U8100?
Thanks in advance.

Hi guys,
I hope you can help me on this one, my u8120 is gettin older and older. It gets more errors, faults and other crazy **** every week. Like headphones not working anymore or the dpad not doing what I want etc. But it wasn't that annoying, until now...It's really weird and I've got no idea what it causes or how to fix it. Let's get to the point: I was using joilaroi's update 28 and I wanted to try one miui Rom(I think it was takisbesos') so I did a full wipe and flashed the Rom using CWM 5.0.2.7 for u8120. Everything went alright(it was a bit buggy at start but that's it), but once I completed my setup I noticed my apps from the previous Rom(joilaroi's) were still there with data of some apps.... Apparently the factory reset didn't reset everything so I tried it again and again and with CWM 5.0.2.8 for u8150 and with other roms but nothing worked then itried flashing an old recovery with Rom manager, but my version was too new so it didn't let me flash recoveries not meant for my phone...so Please help me with this.. I'm kinda desperate cause I just want to test roms clean and not loaded with all of my apps...
Thanks!

yes, there is a solution to ur problem.......
just follow my steps and you will get what u want..
instructions for flashing new rom=======
1. go to recovery.......( cwm )
2. wipe factory data reset.
3. wipe cache partition..
4. go to advanced option
5. wipe dalvik cache
6. wipe battery stats ( if you have battery drain problem )
7. go back to main menu and choose mount and storage.......
8. format your boot
9. format your system
10. format your data
11. format your splash
12. format your datadata
13. format your sd ext.
14.but beware there is a option format sd card ( never do this as it will erase your sd and you will not be able to flash new rom )
15. flash a new rom
16. usually use joilaroi's update 28/29 after this as there may be chance to get bootloop with other rom
just try it and report back
Works smoothly on my old U8100.
Installed superuser, titanium backup pro, busybox, map, goggle, k9, ireader. After moving movable apps to SD, have lots of RAM left (150MB).
Compared with Joilaroi's cm7, very fast. Virtually no lag.
:good:
