Hello everyone,
I'm a proud owner of the Asus infinity tf700t and I'm really satisfied with the tablet. I only have one problem I can't seem to get ridI off.
My display sleep time is set to 15 seconds by default. Everytime I try to change it to something else it automatically reverts back to 15 seconds within minutes.
I already checked, if I have any apps installed known for this problem but I didn't find anything.
Did anyone have the same problem and knows how I can fix it? It really starts to annoy me very much.
Thank you in advance.

My transformer has been resetting on its own and randomly. Its stock with the newest update and not rooted.
I also have mad issues with the deep sleep. Have not been able to narrow down the problem. Hardware?
Anyone else getting the same problem?
Try doing a full factory reset, Settings -> Privacy -> Factory Data Reset. Do not forget to backup your data first.

Yesterday I had the transformer sitting in sleep mode next to me while I was doing some work on the desktop and saw the ASUS start up logo come on the Transformer. I have only had this tablet for six days, but this is the first restart on it's own that I have observed. I also have had three episodes of the deep sleep issue.
Edit: Right after I posted this, I looked down and the ASUS logo had appeared again from sleep mode. Go figure...
I've seen this on my 32gb unit. I'd be doing something and turn away a moment, when I looked back I would see the Asus boot logo. It's sneaky though and I have yet to catch it in the act at the exact moment of reboot. The deep sleep lockup has happened a few times as well.
Ok so here's my problem. I remotely installed an app to my tranformer from my laptop and it installed successfully but when i went to check up on the install my tablet started acting wierd and many apps stopped responding. i just fc the apps and noticed my transformer was fast. Too fast as in whenever i started an app it would start right after i touched it. Also whenever i was on the home screen and i touched anywhere on the screen it would instantly register as a long-hold touch. Anyone run into this issue? Very wierd. Tried powering off the tablet which worked but waiting a couple minutes first be4 turning it on. The loading circle beside the powering off text literally spun around 50 times extremely quickly withing the first second.
Have you removed whatever app it was you installed?
What's the problems? Everyone around here would kill to get a fast as heck TF.

Maybe he managed to OC it to like 4Ghz/core ?
No, but I agree. Apart from the clicking issue it sounds like your TF is what everyone wants their to be
More information would be needed, what was the application you installed? What rom you are using? ICS or honeycomb? Overclocked?
Put it in a microwave. That should slow it back down.
My TF has randomly been going into what I called the ghost mode where it has a mind of its own.
It for some reason restarts, then hangs on the title screen "EEE Pad" until the battery runs out. It happens during the night and I wake up to a 90% dead tablet and miss all my alarms.
I have to reset it manually to get it out of ghost mode.
Does this happen to anyone else? Is there a fix other than reinstalling the whole thing?
Its a bug in ICS. Had you spent 10sec searching you wouldve found a lot of threads regarding this

I found the following workaround, my Transformer has been running 2 days without any problem, the solution drains battery (about 1% per hour) but until ASUS fixes the problem, this is one option you can try.

So I just got the TF300 and the first thing I dd was install the JB update and been noticing that is very laggy and slow. But that was quickly resolved by a factory reset and when wiping dilvik/cache (at least i hope) and now seems to response much better.
The issue now i have is whenever i use utorrent the tablet becomes unusable and the fix for that was to use a SD Card which also worked and everything was working the way it should, it was very responsive and the torrent was downloading quickly, but as soon as the screen timed out it would not wake up again or sometimes took forever.
sometimes the screen came back after 3 minutes and other times it required a reboot, this is an issue only when utorrent is downloading a torrent and does not happen if its just open. I have not seen this happen randomly like others have experienced just only with utorrent downloading.
Any inputs or suggestions?
Have you guys tried with a different torrent app?
you could try is this new-5-star app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/...xLDEsImNvbS5BbmRyb2lkQS5Ecm9pRG93bmxvYWRlciJd
try it to see if the problem persists
and can you answer my question, please: you just got your tf300, so after you turn it on the first time, what firmware version was it? did you have to update to ICS .30 and then update to JB or did you just update straight to JB? in other words, how many updates did you do to get JB? 1 or 2?
i'm asking because last time with my returned tf300 i had to do to updates (from .26 out of the box to .30, then JB), i got my replacement today but haven't turned on yet (i'm leaving it charging 8 hours as the manual suggests), i'm not sure what firmware will it update to when i turn it on, since i don't want jelly bean this is what i really need to care about

Do you have a fast internet connection? The problem you had with the slowness while downloading to the internal memory is because of bad I/O performance from ASUS, writing and reading on to and from to the internal memory kinda sucks compare to other devices. So directing your downloads to your external sd card was a good idea .
+1 for Adownloader, I have always used that app for torrents, hasn't failed me so far.
Yeah i heard about Adownloader but been a fan of utorrent for as long as i can remember and it works flawless on my S3, but will try aDownloader.
@nooktablet
It was ICS and just had one update to get it too JB.
aDownloader is the same
Do you have keep wifi on during sleep? It is posible that this is causing the sleep of death somehow, apps running on the background. My NookColor used to have a lot of sleep of deaths before I turned the wifi off after each use. But if you turn it off it will defeat the purpose of downloading torrents while screen is off. As far as you can tell it only happens when you are downloading torrents? Also check on settings "ASUS customize setting" and make sure that "Disconnect network during sleep" is not ticked. Another thing you can try is setting up screen saver with a completely black image, so it will use the least battery possible.
Anyways I never use automatic screen timeout I have it on never so I really haven't experienced this problem. If nothing else works, my suggestion is don't let the screen timeout while downloading torrents. Also try reporting the error to ASUS so they added to the list of future fixes.
downloading torrents make your tablet slow even with fast internet.
Just deal with it... or download them from your computer and xfer them over to your tablet.

Under the Asus Custom settings that was already off, but I changed the wifi sleep policy to always on yesterday so you maybe on to something. I will have to test when oi get a chance.
Hi There,
I got an really annoying problem and can't find anything on the web or this forum. Probably due to the common keywords....
My problem, since 1,5 months (can't remember if this is after an update) notifications stay on screen for 45 seconds! App notification but also android system notifications (the grey ones beneath the screen). For instance, picking up my phone from the wireless charger the phone says "Draadloos laden onderbroken" this is the dutch message for saying the phone has stopped charging wireless. Then opening let's say whatsapp, this notifications hovers 45 seconds above the text input position.
I can't find any setting that let's me adjust the screen time duration of notifications. Rebooted the device and also had a new update few days ago, but the problem stays. I'm running Android 10, One UI 2.0 with kernel 4.14.113-17806689.
I feel really stupid not figuring this seemly simple thing out by myself.
Gr,
Erwin

Have you found this setting?Settings\Accessibility\Advanced settings\Time to take action
Instellingen\Toegankelijkheid\Geavanceerde instellingen\Tijd om actie te ondernemen
Not sure if it will solve the problem, but it seems related. This setting is hard to find and you might not remember having changed it. No 45 sec option though.
OMG, this did the trick. #Nunspeet #hero

That worked for me for some reason mine was set to 2 minutes. I don't remember changing this setting. Ooo well it's resolved now.
Thanks
Notifications are a disaster on this phone. It kills apps in the background too aggressively, also (excluding apps from that seems a little hit-and-miss). I love customization, but Android 10 and OneUI have made a real mess of this.
My current problem is when I get a call, the popup flashes only for a second. Everything was so much simpler on my old rooted phone!
When I get a flood of notifications, my phone freezes up. Either it's Notistar's fault or there is a huge issue with the notification system.
