If 90% of my time on my tablet is spend watching anime
They are 10 or 8bit mkv videos with subtitles
I don't want to have problems with them like before.
With H/W Decoder, I experience problems with weird problems with the display like a bunch of different colored pixels and it bothers me...
When I tried S/W Decoder, the pixel problem stopped, but then the audio and video would get out of sync or stop and skip frames...
idk what to do to fix this.

Sorry if this is a repost. I couldn't find anything already posted regarding this issue with the wifi Xoom.
Is anyone else having issues with Video playback on their wifi xoom after htk75d update?
A couple days after updating, I am getting random pauses in video playback. Doesn't matter what format or size avi, mp4, mkv, all behave the same. After about a 30 seconds to 1 minute the video just pauses. There is no tearing in the video, ghosting or any issues with video quality. The video simply pauses. The video can be resumed immediately without any delay. This happens with pretty much any player I use. The only player that doesn't pause is the QQ player, however the video quality gets thrashed in this player. Even netflix pauses, which is odd. I have read other people having the same issue with this update on other tablets, but there doesn't seem to be an explanation or fix yet.

Hey everyone!
So I'm having this strange and annoying problem, every time I play video (let's say xvid .avi) the video stops after about 10min like it's finished playing the whole video file (goes back to menu or so). It happens with Mobo player, Mobo Video Player pro, Daroon player, MX Video player - those that I tried with. I thought maybe the CPU or GPU is overheating, but I really doubt on that, because the phone doesn't get hot, actually it gets more warm on a phone call, or when I surf the web. BTW, I don't think this problem is ROM dependent because I had this issue with the stock ROM and now I'm using the MIUI 1.11.25 ROM (Well didn't tested that on other ROM's that I tried, only those two).
So maybe somebody have the same problem and have a solution? Thanks!
I download my movies, tv shows, and anime onto my tablet then watch them through MX Player.
When I just use H/W decoder it has problems with playing it, it has like display issues and show a bunch of distortion in the film
When I run S/W it crashes every 2-3 minutes.
How do I fix S/W from crashing?
Using mxplayer in software decoding mode and screen flickers like crazy.
I'm on the latest CM11 nightly and having the same issue. I tried several other players like BSplayer and vPlayer and they all have the same problem.
What's strange is that it only happens with RGB 16-bit enabled. 32 bit is a bit laggy as usual but otherwise fine. I'm using YUV instead right now and seems to be working great.
When I play my videos using HW decoder so I get DTS and Dolby 5 pass through to my audio amplifier sometimes the video runs about 20% slow. The video pauses for about half a second every 5 seconds. The audio runs slow and frequency is shifted lower pitch .
I have an Android TV box with optical output to my amp. Model RK3188, Android ver 4.4.2
-Problem is only when I pass thorough DTS or Dolby audio.
-Software DTS Dolby codex runs the correct speed. (But I lose my surround sound.)
-Problem is intermittent. Some times (75%) MX Players starts OK and sometimes it starts into this slow mode.
-Restarting MX Player or just going from HW to SW mode sometimes (75% chance) fixes the problem.
-Problem occurs with many other players that have pass through except the “Built in Android Video Player” or “Archos” Video player.
I really like the features of MX Player . Just this bug is an nuisance.
