[Q] Battery percentage in status bar? - HTC Sensation

I know there are a lot of flashable .zips in the Themes section that shows battery as percentage in status bar, but all of them have additional ROM tweaks which some of us may not need.
So how can i have battery shown as percentage in status bar for my Sensation? I dont mind having colored signal bars and BT status, etc....So thats ok
Thanks!

Check out Battery Notifier Big Text in the Play Store. It puts the battery percentage in big numbers on the left side of the status bar.
Sent from a rebel ship by storing the message in an R2 unit. (Help me, XDA. You're my only hope)

I don't know what style of status bar icons you are looking for, but if you'd like just the speedometer style battery mod, then I put it up HERE... you can check it out. Keep in mind that it's for a 2.3.4 ROM.
Let me know how it works out for you.

Yea i agree with him, understood it all.Unlike some posts where (good job for those who try) people just have a go at writing in english and it make no sense whatsoever. He did good!
You could try using the uot kitchen to make enough images for each 1% them edit them all 1 by 1

Download Gauge Battery Widget... it adds a battery percentage to your statusbar.
Thanks. I've been looking for something to do that for me. Although if someone can help replace the default one then that would be better than adding another icon to the status bar.
Cue, thank you for the suggestion. If possible I'd prefer to replace the default status bar battery icon, as I have with the Captivate and GSII.
it' really easy to cook your own battery with uot kitchen !
look at this post

Here you go. Cooked with the Rogers I727R GB but should work none the less. If you have troubles flashing the first time. From CWM, mount system and data and then flash, wipe dalvik cache and done!
Definitely doesn't work well with my AT&T Skyrocket. I appreciate the effort, but this mod broke my whole status bar and messed a few other things up. Thankfully, I created a NAND backup before flashing,
For reference, I'm using the SkySTOCKeteer v1.5 rom with Dag's kernel v0.3. And by "broken" status bar, I mean the whole status bar is missing.
and here is my circle battery if you too lazy to learn and cook yourself.
it works on stock rom.

Yup,
They aren't likely to work as both mine and the one above were cooked with odexed stock ROMs. You will just have to pull the framework-res and systemUI from your ROM and cook it up. Doesn't take more than 5-10 minutes.
Check my post out. SkySTOCKeteer Battery Mod

[Q] How to remove battery icon?

I was unable to make this post on the main ROM thread due to not having enough posts so that's why it's going here.
I'm currently running the 7.4 speed ROM version of Sky-Ics on my Skyrocket. The ROM comes with the battery bar mod which is quite awesome, it also has some sort of battery meter that's surrounded by a circle. (not sure what this is called, possibly honey comb or digital circle battery mod)
I'm curious if anyone here knows how to remove this circle battery icon/mod so I can solely use the battery bar mod at the top?
Thanks for the help!
I can get you to stock battery with % on it. i think i got flashable zip. Let me know
here is stock battery : http://dev-host.org/mVf
here is stock battery with % : http://dev-host.org/WGj
Flash in CWM wipe cache and Dalvik then flash
Thanks for the info but I was aware the battery icon could be replaced with other types, you know of any way to remove the icon all together?
This doesn't really belong in the Dev section anyway, this is a good place for it. U can try the UOT kitchen and upload ur framework-res.apk. Mess around with some of the battery options there, maybe u can find one that will help

Thanks for the input, I will have to check this out later at home. Anyone else have any suggestions for methods of removing this icon?

[Q] Editing Notification Bar Without Flashing?

Hi, I just recently got my first smartphone which I absolutely love but the UI urks me a little. That being said I apologize if this is in the wrong section or if this has been asked before but I could not find my question asked anywhere. Perhaps my google-fu is weak.
Question: Is it possible to replace the battery icon in the notification bar with text that says the current battery percentage on a rooted phone without flashing the device to a ROM?
I have seen some applications that do this but I want to replace the current icon and display, not add to it.

congratulations on your first smartphone, and welcome to xda
there may be launchers available that will do this, but i doubt it - i use go-launcher which doesn't
but if you are unhappy with the ui already, then i would guess you will soon be unhappy with something else and that will be the time to start looking into rooting and flashing like the rest of us round here

I am not quite sure if this was an answer? I basically want to make the system show the current battery percentage in a percentage like the app on the left in pink instead of the default battery meter in right. I want to make the system display it differently rather than having an application display it. Does that make sense?
My question is (I know I need to root first) do I need to flash a rom and change things or can I do a simple edit?

Battery mod request.

Hey guys, I've had a bit of a search around, but I can't really find what I'm after.
What I need is a battery mod to make the battery icon in the status bar white for an LSA ROM,
That's the only thing I want changed. If you know of one, let me know.
