Download Gauge Battery Widget... it adds a battery percentage to your statusbar.
Thanks. I've been looking for something to do that for me. Although if someone can help replace the default one then that would be better than adding another icon to the status bar.
Cue, thank you for the suggestion. If possible I'd prefer to replace the default status bar battery icon, as I have with the Captivate and GSII.
it' really easy to cook your own battery with uot kitchen !
look at this post

Here you go. Cooked with the Rogers I727R GB but should work none the less. If you have troubles flashing the first time. From CWM, mount system and data and then flash, wipe dalvik cache and done!
Definitely doesn't work well with my AT&T Skyrocket. I appreciate the effort, but this mod broke my whole status bar and messed a few other things up. Thankfully, I created a NAND backup before flashing,
For reference, I'm using the SkySTOCKeteer v1.5 rom with Dag's kernel v0.3. And by "broken" status bar, I mean the whole status bar is missing.
and here is my circle battery if you too lazy to learn and cook yourself.
it works on stock rom.

Yup,
They aren't likely to work as both mine and the one above were cooked with odexed stock ROMs. You will just have to pull the framework-res and systemUI from your ROM and cook it up. Doesn't take more than 5-10 minutes.

One of the problems with flashing these batteries is that when you apply a theme via the Theme Chooser app, it replaces the battery at the levels contained in the theme causing your battery indicator to appear to have multiple personality disorder. I have edited the 2 stock themes, Androidian and Cyanbread, so that you can apply either yet still retain my battery mod. The theme will still apply like normal, it just won't touch the battery. I've made 3 separate downloads so you can choose to replace either of the built in themes or both.

SmoothC is a gradient style of the original C. SmoothGreenGradient is the same as SmoothC execept that it starts at green instead of blue for the progression and does NOT contain any blue. SmoothF is not a matte finish like the original F, but it does follow the same color progression. It IS NOT a gradient style so color change is abrupt. 100-50% is green, 30-49% yellow, 15-29% orange, 14 and below is red. All have my most detailed charging animation I've ever made, which is *very* smooth. I made these 100% from scratch (no templates) and I know they are the smoothest circles you will find (in this resolution anyway).
As always, have a recent nandroid and flash in recovery:

GENERAL INFO
-These are flash update only.
-If your rom has a toggle for battery percentage, turn it OFF. The images have percentages built in and there's a separate image for each percent.
-Always have a recent nandroid backup available should you have an issue. That goes for anything, not just my mods
If you like the work, or I've been able to help you with other stuff, don't forget the thanks button at the bottom, or there's that other thanks button on the left under my name

THE FILES BELOW ARE STILL CURRENT FOR ENOMTHER'S LAST RELEASE Enomther's TheOfficial--all of the versions are themed for manup by default except as noted
**NEW CHARGING ANIMATION**--
This was a pretty big project. I've almost doubled the amount of animation frames, the charge motion is incredibly smooth now. Also, I've rewritten the animation instructions to show an image with the % on it as part of the animation. It will change for every 2% you battery gains in charge. Check it out!

Cool, thanks. I've not tried anything from CM since I first rooted and that was RC1. I just totally love the enom build and haven't wanted to leave it.
A little later, I will flash CM and see what I can find out.
I previously flashed a super circle. Mod from enoms site and it came with these cool status bar icons similar to the one on the desire forum version A. If I flash your version C will it get rid of these icons.... thanks. Great job pendo........

Yes, it will get rid of them. Whenever you flash one of these mods, it will completely replace your current status bar. The only way I know of that would keep what you have is a morph, but that doesn't seem to be compatible yet. I think it could be possible, though if metamorph were changed to recognize the resources and new id's in my framework-res.
So short story is, if you have your bar just the way you want, you'll have to send me your framework-res and I can rebuild it with which ever version you want. Then I can make sure all custom icons that you want get in there.
The Manup version above has every themed icon included with the prethemed rom.....so to the end user, it looks like the only thing I changed is the battery, but in reality it's a whole new framework-res..
Can this be flashed onto the stock N1 rom?
thanks a lot pendo...for now I'll just stick with the super circle mod I have even though I love yours....

The above link, please give props to those who did the design work...all I did is a simple cut and paste into the new framework build. Plus since the dev had it in a morph, it was super easy to just apply their changes.
I'm gonna talk to the guys who know more about metamorph...this kind of mod would really shine in an app like that.

OK...sorry guys. I'm still learning stuff and mess up. I tested it by adb push on my phone before I posted...I must've kept the same signature from the manup version. You can either adb push the framework-res file or wait until I can get a new zip. Right now I've just wiped and went back to FRF-91 stock to trouble shoot that version.

ALL CREDIT GOES TO MANUP456 ON THIS THEME!!! All I did was port it to CM6 RC3 For Droid Incredible.

Install Instructions : Put update.zip on root of sd card, boot into recovery and flash. First boot can take a little bit. I recommend flashing this on a fresh CM6 install. The Lockscreen in the screenies (thank you Androidbruce) must be installed using MetaMorph. You can get MM in the market for free. The icon pack (thank you G_Money) can be applied by using bettercut. You can get bettercut in the market also. Notification Bar will be white when first flashed. I left it for user to set up how they like. Keep in mind most icons are white also so you won't be able to see them at first until bar gets changed black. You can do this by going to menu/settings/cyangoen settings/user interface. You can apply the alternate circle battery icon by flashing the zip in clockwork like you would any ROM.

I left it up to the user to sort out how they wanted the notification bar via cyanogen settings. Of course it's going to be white at first but that can be changed very easily
change your notification bar to black under cyanogenmod settings > user interface > notifications colors > check custom notification bar and choose black.

Just an FYI: This theme causes a bootloop in the new RC3 Nightly from 8/22.
I've been having random reboots after installing the alternate battery.
Also, it seems like the battery gets stuck. Stayed at three notches all the way down to 10%, and now with the alternate batter it hasn't moved since 85%.
Awesome theme besides that.
Ditto, same for me. (The bootloop on new CM nightly, that is)

are u installing this over a current theme?? are u adding any transparencies in the notification bar? what rom are u using? i've had the gapps FC before with this, but got everything worked out to where everything works perfect now..
I'm guessing CM 6 comes with a theme.. so I'm gonna say yes. I didn't make anything transparent, but I only did settings for part of the notification window.
What sucks now is that I nandroided back to a backup I made earlier today and it made everything like I just flashed CM 6 but LauncherPro kept FCing.. trying to nandroid again. :\
Edit: Can I choose sense icons without having a sense rom? If not, that's probably my problem.

Used this to get the circle battery with CM 6.1 RC1, my only issue is that now it displays a big "Roaming Indicator On" on my lockscreen (where the "Sprint" would usually be), and the roaming triangle is showing up in the taskbar (even though I'm like 98% sure I'm NOT roaming). Anyone have a suggestion of how to get rid of this? Maybe something I did in the process of cooking up the zip? All I want is the stock CM6 pulldown/notification bar with the circle battery, and also have the option to turn off the power control widget in the pulldown.

I did it again and this time I checked the "include icons" and chose G4 blue sense 3D. Again they didnt show up This time what happened was my icons that were blue tinted (running Extremely Blue) turned white. Same stock icons, just white instead of the blue tinted ones. Can I use the sense icons?
Thanks
If it makes a difference I also selected the white notification bar icons as well, H1 DeFrost.
That was it, only chose the G4 blue sense 3D this time and it worked perfect! Now I need to do it again as there are a few I dont care for and would rather have my blue tinted ones, like signal bars
Now I got it looking BAD-A$$!!
Question,
When attempting to modify the Status bar notification I dont get to see the progress I am making. It looks like the Kitchen is supposed to let me see what each mod will look like as I change things, shouldnt that checkered area to the right of status bar mod settings show a preview of what I a doing, while I do it?
EDIT>>>>> Nevermind, I found to click generate at the bottom of page
Thanks
Alright so I redid my phone last night (starting from scratch when I know a little more about this stuff is good ) and tried this again, got the circle battery mod and the status bar icons and it works great!

I agree. Other devices and ROMs have a MODs and themes thread. If you are interested, since you are the OP on this thread, you could start a new one called "skystocketeer MODs and themes" and then I would hope that everyone would go to that one place.

Yeah it wiped it. Because the mods for the Menu are added to the framework-res.apk file so this one wipes it out when flashing it.

I never heard of this UOT Kitchen website.. I guess I never really had to attempt to theme my device before because my previous phone was heavily supported by developers.
But I was able to upload my framework-res that I had with the power menu and apply the sideways battery.

The signal and wifi icon is controlled by the rom. If you update to the new 2.0 they will be blue. But yes i can work on a circle one and make it match the new blue!

I was unable to make this post on the main ROM thread due to not having enough posts so that's why it's going here.
I'm currently running the 7.4 speed ROM version of Sky-Ics on my Skyrocket. The ROM comes with the battery bar mod which is quite awesome, it also has some sort of battery meter that's surrounded by a circle. (not sure what this is called, possibly honey comb or digital circle battery mod)
I'm curious if anyone here knows how to remove this circle battery icon/mod so I can solely use the battery bar mod at the top?
Thanks for the help!
I can get you to stock battery with % on it. i think i got flashable zip. Let me know
here is stock battery : http://dev-host.org/mVf
here is stock battery with % : http://dev-host.org/WGj
Flash in CWM wipe cache and Dalvik then flash
Thanks for the info but I was aware the battery icon could be replaced with other types, you know of any way to remove the icon all together?
This doesn't really belong in the Dev section anyway, this is a good place for it. U can try the UOT kitchen and upload ur framework-res.apk. Mess around with some of the battery options there, maybe u can find one that will help
